Tarot cards seldom lie. So when they predict chaos and bad luck for her last client of the day, Emerald gets more than a little worried. He leaves behind a charming jade statue of a dragon–but promptly dies in a hit-and-run accident outside of her shop. When other terrible things begin to plague Em and her family, the only explanation is the jade dragon. To thwart its evil spell, she’ll have to … to follow a trail of heartache all the way back to China’s Ming Dynasty–and its ancient–and sometimes harsh–mysteries.

This was a most enjoyable book.
Odd to think that I liked the realism, since the book’s universe has curses, magic and demons in it, but the relationships were very realistic! I enjoyed it a lot.
Not sure about this series yet.
Really enjoyed it.
Paranormal tale of a tarot card reader who gets left with a haunted jade carving when a client rushes out of her tea shop and is killed by a hit and run driver. She finds that her family has been affected by the curse on the statue and must spend the rest of the story dealing with all the bad things that happen until she can release the demon. This is the second in a series about this character, and I would prefer to have read the first book first, but it isn’t really necessary.
Book three was the first book I have read in this series. Perhaps now I should read the first and second.
I love this book. Of course, I love everything that I have read by Yasmine Galenorn. I love the interaction of the characters. I care about what happens to the characters. I always can’t wait to start the next book.
I was an easy to read book. I enjoyed it while reading, but it is one of those that is forgettable afterwards. I can recommend it, if you want light reading.
Very unusual and action packed
Interesting tale, good characters, witty. In a few parts, repetitious. Unfortunately, I get annoyed when an author changes gears in the last chapter and gets philosophical and a bit sappy at the end. Sort of ruins the whole experience for me – so only 4 stars.
Excellent read!
Nothing stood out from all the other books of the mystery/paranormal genre.
Mildly entertaining.
Good easy read. Liked it.
I would give this book a ten star rating,if i could. Great, fabulous page turner, cant put down! Loved it.
I didn’t want to put it down.
Cute book, a bit quirky, light. A good quick read, above average for cozy mystery. Original takes on old themes.
Love the story plot
.Enter into the world of mystery mixed with violence and paranormal powers and this book will drag you along. Nothing like a good page turner to curl up with your favorite cup of tea and a cookie or two. cheers -mrb
Really good series.
