Skylar Crosby knows betrayal. She knows that deep stab when those closest to you deceive your fragile trust. And she knows what it’s like when your secrets cost you everything––including the love of your life. Now kidnapped, scared, and alone, Skylar has no reason to believe in her rescue. Not when she can still see Brandon’s face as she smashed his heart to pieces. Even if Skylar can get out of … get out of her physical prison, can she escape the cage created by her guilt?
Brandon Sterling spent the last fifteen years desperately trying to reinvent himself: as a lawyer, a businessman, and now a candidate for public office. But as these daily stressors mount alongside a dangerous threat to his family and loved ones, the old Brandon reemerges: a ruthless hoodlum who’d rather use fists than brains to solve his problems.
Now, when the one he loves most is taken, can Brandon move past her deceit in order to find her? And if he does, will Skylar still want the man he’s become in order to protect her?
This is the third book in the Spitfire Trilogy. Readers will enjoy it most if they have already read Legally Yours (Book 1) and Legally Mine (Book 2).

The final book of the Spitfire Trilogy by Nicole French.
This book follows Brandon and Skylar as they navigate new obstacles while trying desperately to forgive and love past offenses.
Brandon was devastated but choices Skylar has made and for that reason I had a hard time reading this one.
I was glad to see the personal growth in both characters even as they were tossed into horrible and stressful circumstances. And at the end of it, they were stronger together.
Nicole French has a way of writing that just transported me into the story. I was able to feel the pain and struggle and it was tough. At the end of the book I felt like I was able to take a deep breath.
This series has triggers that may be hard for some people to handle. But if you can, I strongly suggest this trilogy. The characters are deep and loving. They are flawed but for the most part recognize it and work towards growth.
I loved these books.
What an incredible journey!!! Wow!! Just phenomenal!!
Peace and harmony can be attained if troublemakers are eradicated. Forgiving and letting go also helps. True love never fades.
Brandon and Skylar have had a tough road and just when it seems that things have finally slowed down things go sideways. Through the ups and downs one thing is for sure they are totally in love with each other. But can being in love be enough. Great characters and storyline highly recommended. Awesome ending.
5 amazingly gut-wrenching stars for Legally Ours by Nicole French. This is the 3rd and final book in The Spitfire Trilogy and it was an amazing way to end the story between Brandon and Skylar. This trilogy was filled with suspense and intrigue. Every second and Every page had me falling in love with the journey Brandon and Skylar have been on. Everything comes to a head in this book. Emotions run rampant and I felt everyone of them while reading. Nicole French is amazing in the way she can tell a story and make the reader feel just strong emotions while reading. This story was absolutely fantastic. If you want a book that is going to enthrall you until the very last page , then this is a book for you.
This was a good steaming read I could not put it down.
What a way to end the trilogy!! Legally ours was the last book in the Spitfire series. This series MUST be read in order! For me, this last book took a little to get into, but boy, did the last few chapters make up for it!! Talk about being on the edge of your seat! Like I said before in the previous book reviews, I read the Quicksilver series first so I knew what was in store for Brandon and Skylar but my heart and my nerves did not care! So many emotions, so many tears! This series was amazing! Sexy, sinful and and down right steamy!!
After Skylar’s kidnapping she has entered her own personal hell. From being held captive to feeling like a prisoner in her own mind.
Brandon has fallen back into his old ways to help cope. With the added stressors, will they be the push he needs to rise up or will they cause him to self destruct?
Brandon and Skylar may be living in the same house, but they are not living together. Have too many mistakes been made by both of them to be able to fix their relationship? Can they get past the lies and pain they have caused each other?
I have loved Brandon and Skylar’s relationship! They fit together so well, I already miss them! If you loved this series and have not checked out Nicole’s Quicksilver series, you should! It follows Eric and Jane and Brandon and Skylar make lots of appearances!! I also look forward to Zola’s series, I hope everyone has appearances!!
What an incredible end to this trilogy! The story of Brandon and Skylar will wind itself around your heart and you will fall in love with them just like I did. They continue to have their troubles whether it be personal or business, but they are determined to see if their relationship can work. They have been thru so much in not only their pasts but in their present. These two will do whatever it takes to make it as a power couple. I am in complete awe of this author as her words will captivate you and the emotions you will feel are unreal. This series is a must read. I can’t wait to read more by this author as this trilogy has completely blown my mind! Just phenomenal!
These two are as screwed up as they can be with their background but somehow they make it work in spite of everything. This is the style and spirit of this author that drew me in and kept me wrapped up in her reads from start to finish. This author grabs you from the start and doesn’t let go until the last line. I didn’t really like these two at the start and even the end of book one still had me on the fence not even real sure I like them by the end but at least I was feeling more in line with them the further I got in this book. The kidnapping, coming to terms with their past, Bran figuring out his triggers, Red finally thinking of someone besides herself all of this and more made this an exciting read that was an awesome ending to this trilogy. I have to say that the action and story in the first and last book in this series are emotional and action filled. There isn’t the repetitive retelling that is found in the second book and the flow of the book doesn’t give much downtime before more drama or action occur. This author is an amazing creator of emotionally charged reads which are complicated and intriguing and leave you spinning through the layers.
the book is in place is too long it drags out too much but overall it’s an excellent book I really wished it wasn’t three books to get one book but it was still really a good read
Love love love
Another fantastic book I loved this couple and their story all though I have to admit I was pissed at Skylar most of this book.
Everything I was hoping it would be! Skylar and Brandon are so back and forth. The last story (Legally Mine) ended with a huge cliffhanger! Well it really felt like 2 cliffhangers. The twists did not stop there. Once those 2 things were cleared up (or sort of cleared up) there were still quite a few things happening that took me for a ride on the emotional roller coaster. I’m not gonna lie…. I cried more than once! And she really got me at the end, I was quite nervous that the ending was not going to be to my liking… but even then it would have been a great story. It wraps up the love story of Skylar and Brandon quite well. It basically wraps up all the different story lines that have come up regarding both of their lives before they got together also. I really think this is probably the best series wrap up book I have read this year! I really do love the books that make me cry the ugly tears.
Fantastic book, couldn’t ask for a better ending for the Spitfire trilogy, emotions will hit you with this book. Great work Nicole French!!
Skylar and Brandon return to complete their story. Skylar is gone and Brandon is frantic to find her before she past saving. Anger and revenge have put Skylar in a position she may not walk away from. Even if Brandon makes it in time to save her, will she be able to live with herself? Brandon has aspirations that may end everything for Skylar and him when the secrets come out. Wow! What a powerful ending to this series. I hated saying goodbye to Skylar and Brandon as they had become so real. Nicole French has the ability to make her characters jump off the page and never want to leave. Such a great story and I loved how Nicole gave her readers closure at the end. I have to hope this isn’t the last we will see of Brandon and Skylar as I loved them so much. HIGHLY Recommend this series.
