Robin Patchen has done and outstanding job as a very talented writer. The story between Chelsea and Dylan is such a page turner. Two unlikely people get thrown together through the twist and turn through out this book. I couldn’t put this book down. It was so action packed and keep me guessing right up to the end. I love books that grab your attention right off and never lets go and this book did that an more.
Such a great book about family, love, friendship and so much more. I can’t say enough great things about this book. I love how Chelsea finds herself without money and has to humble herself to ask for help, but she doesn’t want to take away from others who needs it so much more than her. For a daughters love for her mother and father who were taken way from her way to soon in life. For a daughter that steps up to the challenge to take over the family business. Even though this is book 3 in a series, you can so pick this book up and read it without having to read the first two books in the series.
I’m so blessed to have been picked to read this book and write a review on one of my favorite authors.
I enjoyed the story
I enjoyed each book in this series.
The characters in this book by Robin Patchen were unforgettable. As the attacks on the heroine continued, the PI who was protecting her became more interesting. I truly enjoyed reading this book, and was almost sorry when I reached the rather unexpected ending, though I suspected it earlier. I highly recommend this very entertaining thriller.
Thank you for writing such a great story!!!

Captivating and entertaining – holds your interest…
They say that timing is everything and that there are no coincidences – that being said, Dylan, a private investigator, meets Chelsea, a beautiful damsel in distress with attempts on her life, and wala! You now have the start of a developing relationship and an intriguing mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed reading their story and following the trail leading up to the guilty parties. What may or may not seem apparent early on becomes more and more complex as intricate connections unfold – a tale well told.
The writing is excellent, clean-cut, well-paced and full of suspense plus there is that budding romance. The characters are brought to life on the page and there is ample descriptive detail to draw you in. The dialogue is realistic and the private thoughts conveyed expand your understanding of their persona.
Lastly, the element of faith and trust and the overcoming of difficulty and adapting to newly learned truths is nicely handled. Certainly, I recommend this book and others in this series.
What a pleasant surprise for me from a new to me author. I got this kindle book free on Amazon so decided to try it as it sounded interesting. It actually was very, very good. Great characters, lots of action, plenty of suspects and suspense to the very end. I will definitely be reading more Robin Patchen books.
Legacy Reclaimed by Robin Patchen
The Legacy Series Book Three
Chelsea Hamilton’s parents started Hamilton Clothier in Coventry, New Hampshire, to save the town her father loved so much. And it had worked. The town had thrived. But things had changed thirteen years ago. Her dad’s death. Her move to England, where her mom grew up. And now, her mother died, and Chelsea has returned home.
Dylan O’Donnell decided to quit the police force and go into private PI work. He wanted to help people before they were murdered rather than trying to solve them afterward. A trip to the food bank to meet a client turned into something else when he meets Chelsea.
Dylan had misjudged Chelsea at first sight because of her clothes and purse brands. He quickly finds out how wrong he was. And how much she needed a protector. A protector like he was. There was no doubt that God had put them both where they needed to be at the same place and time… Another awesome story. I love the way this author writes.

The suspense began by page three! Who is after Chelsea? Why? There are too many possible enemies. Is the PI one of them, or will he actually help her? In addition to a suspenseful-page-turner, this story has a quiet, clean romance growing chapter by chapter. Robin is an expert at creating tension and mystery, one of the reasons I read every book she writes!
Patchen has written another winner in this new suspense. You will be holding your breath from the first chapter on. The two main characters are strong and believable as they are targeted over and over. Such suspense and mystery as Chelsea runs for her life and Dylan, the private eye she has hired to find out who wants her dead and why. So many twists and turns to keep you guessing Who is it? If you like suspense and action, this is it, but also there is a strong thread of faith and trust in God through out. I love Patchen’s style of writing, you feel as if you are right there when all is taking place. I can’t wait for the next book.
Amazing story, heart-pounding! From the beginning one of the characters didn’t sit well with me, he seemed off, but through out the book, I kept thinking he couldnt be involved…keeps you wondering until the very end! Loved it!!
I read this in two sittings…two, instead of one, because I fell asleep during the first one (what you get when you start a new book at bedtime)! It is truly a “can’t put me downer”! I fell into adoration with the first book of Robin Patchen’s that I read and now have to have every single thing she’s written. I, usually, don’t care for love stories, but when they have as much suspense as this, they are a delight. And what a relief it is to find a romance where the characters are not constantly thinking of getting the other’s clothes off! Another hit for Robin and another great read for her fans (old or new)!
This story was very captivating due to the mystery of who was behind the murder attempts on Chelsea and the detailed, descriptive presentations of the characters and events. It was realistic as well as inspirational as the story developed. I love this author.
Chelsea Hamilton is back in her home town, but not for anything pleasant at all. Her mother has died most unexpectedly. Chelsea cannot imagine life with Mum, especially after losing her dad at the young age of ten.
Chelsea has been abroad studying to prepare her to run her parents’ company one day.
Chelsea goes into hiding following an attempt on her life. She then discovers her debit card and credit cards no longer work. What is going on? Injured, scared, desperate and hungry drives her to a food bank where she meets Dylon. After learning that he was a cop, now turned private investigator, she hires him to help keep her safe and find the person who wants her dead.
Events lead them to begin to believe that maybe her mother’s death was accidental, as believed by the authorities. But, who would possibly want her dead, and now Chelsea, as well? Her parents’ company has done so much for the town of Coventry-employing many of them. Can it possibly be someone they know and care for?
Things really heat up after another attempt is made on Chelsea’s life. I admire her faith and that she is not afraid to talk about it, even to her uncle who is a nonbeliever and scoffs at it.
This is a fast paced suspenseful story with some romance. What could be better?
Grateful to the author, Robin Patchen, who allowed me to read and advanced copy of this book. I was under no obligation to write a positive review, although, how could I not after reading this! Highly recommend!
Bravo! Robin you have done it again!! I have read the other books in the series so I was excited to get a glimpse of Angel and Donavan and Eric too , however this can definitely be read as a stand alone ! Full of excitement, , faith, deceit, fear, love , suspense! It truly had it all ! I literally could not put it down . If you read just 1 book this month , please consider this ! You will be glad you did ! Chelsea and Dylan never waiver from their faith and it proves to protect them in this amazing story !
“Legacy Reclaimed” is the third book in the Legacy series. I did not read the previous two books and did not feel lost in any way. There are characters we meet whose story was in the previous books, so I might have had more backstory had I read them first. I thought “Legacy Reclaimed” was well written and had a nice flow. I liked Chelsea and Dylan and their reliance on God. There was adventures and suspense and twists that I didn’t expect. I had an idea of who might be behind the attacks on Chelsea, but I only had a very small part of the whole motivation. The book kept me turning pages and on the edge of my seat to see what was going to happen next. This is the first book I’ve read of hers, but I look forward to reading more books by Robin Patchen.
I got a free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own and given voluntarily. No compensation was received for my review.
I thought the book was Amazing! It told a story of deceits, lies, murder, love, beliefs and trust, what a great read. I couldn’t put it down, loved it. Please if you read only one book this year make it this one.
I love all of Robin’s books. This one is no exception. She creates great characters driven by their faith and always a pure love hidden in the hearts of the hero and heroine. Plenty of suspense that keeps you reading until the end. Legacy Reclaimed tackles some very unsavory characteristics of humanity in such a way that you will be highly entertained while coming away better for having read the story. Very refreshing. And her way of weaving in the people from previous stories makes it like we are getting to know little by little the inhabitants of this small community. I’m looking forward to meeting a few more in Robin’s next story. Please keep them coming.
Excellent book. Love the Legacy series. Another winner by Robin. Couldn’t put the book down. It grabs you right in the beginning and you just have to keep reading. Has suspense, betrayal, twist and turns and romance. Who is killing off the Hamilton family, one at a time and why? You will be engrossed in the journey Chelsea and Dylan take to discover the answers. Will Chelsea be able to come to grips with the truth and move on? Can her love and trust of God and Dylan bring her comfort in her hour of need? You will have to read to find out. Highly recommend the book. You will find you have spent your time wisely reading this story. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Received an ARC and this is my honest voluntary review.
Another wonderful romantic suspense from Robin Patchen. I really enjoyed this book so much, it was a real page turner, and edge of your seat ride all the way through. This book is christian and clean.
