Together, they dig into her family’s secrets. The closer they get to the truth, the closer they grow to one another. Can Chelsea save the legacy her parents fought to leave her? Can Dylan save Chelsea from the enemies determined to see her dead?

Thank you Robin for another great book! I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I love the characters in the book and I went back and forth on who “did”. Loved the main characters and their story as it developed through the book.
One problem with the book… it went too fast because I couldn’t put it down! Every time I’d say at the end of this chapter and something would happen and I had to find out what was next.
I have read several books by Robin Patchen and this one did not disappoint. This book contains a great story line as well as great characters. I will not go into detail about the story line because you can read the blurb that goes with the book, but I will say the book opens with a great attention grabber, and you will not want to put the book down until you reach the end. I love Robin’s books because there is no foul language, and while there is usually some kind of romantic relationship, it is always very clean. Great characters, great story, clean writing – all the elements that make a great story. Definitely recommend this book!
This was a fantastic story that was intense and kept the pages turning from beginning to end. There were so many twists, turn and surprises that it kept the reader in the dark until the very end. The predicaments that Chelsea and Dylan kept getting into kept the story interesting and entertaining. Chelsea had so much heartbreak and tragedy in such a short time she was lucky to be able to keep it together. Their faith seem to the strength that kept them strong. Loved the story.
First time read of a book by author Robin Patchen. Loved this book which is book 3 in the Legacy series. I need to read the other 2. So well written kept me on edge to keep flipping pages. I never guessed who the killer was. Characters are well written very believable people you like to meet well some you would. Some mean people in this story too. Chelsea has lost a lot in her life. Since a child she was sent away to Paris for schooling. The truth as to why comes out in the story. She is in a lot of danger who can she even trust?? Get find out!
Legacy Reclaimed is another great read by Robin Patchen. It’s a page turner from the very beginning. Someone attempts to kill Chelsea and then she meets Dylan (her real life hero). It is filled with mystery and betrayal, but also faith and loyalty. This is book 3 in the Legacy series and I highly recommend each book. I’m looking forward to book 4, Legacy Redeemed.
While I wasn’t able to read the two earlier books in this series, I was thankful to get an opportunity to read #3 through being an ARC reader. And for anyone else who missed the others, don’t be concerned about needing that background to enjoy book 3. I didn’t find myself at all at a loss as I enjoyed Robin Patchen’s weaving her romance through suspense on this one. One thing I didn’t like was the seeming love at first sight that often occurs in her novels, nor the fact that both of the major participants were extremely good looking. Life just isn’t like that. But-with those two things keeping me from adding a fifth star to my review, the story line definitely held my attention and I was amazed to not find ANY editing errors. As an ARC reader for a number of authors, I don’t recall ever having that happen before. Don’t miss this series, even if you only get in on the last of it (or IS this the last book of this series?).
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I didn’t want to put it down because I wanted to see what happened next.
Upon the death of her mother, Chelsea returns to the US from Paris to attend the funeral and to take over running HCI. But someone is out to see that she doesn’t do that. Multiple attempts are made on her life. In order to thwart her death, she and her PI must uncover who is behind all that has happened.
Spellbinding and lots of action contribute to this fast-paced story. ENJOY!
Well done, Robin Patchen!
I spent my rainy Saturday on the edge of my sofa reading Legacy Reclaimed by author Robin Patchen. The beginning hooked me as I desperately wanted to help Chelsea Hamilton climb up from the wall of the cliff after someone pushed her over! Chelsea is home for her mother’s funeral and not only is she trying to cope with the grief, but something has happened to all of her accounts. She has no access to her money and ends up nearly starving. She goes to a food pantry hoping for a few cans of food to sustain her until she can find out what has happened to her accounts. It seems things happen for a reason because she meets PI Dylan O’Donnell as she waits, and after he hears her story he offers to help.
Chelsea learns the clothing company that her mother and father started seems to be in trouble. How could this have happened? Dylan suspects that her father’s murder twelve years earlier and now her mother’s death are not coincidences.
Legacy Reclaimed has wonderful characters and keeps the reader turning the pages guessing if Chelsea will survive the attempts on her life. The faith-based suspense is intriguing and can be read as a stand-alone book, even though it is part of the ‘Legacy’ series. Yes, more of Chelsea and Dylan, please!
Thank you to Robin Patchen for the opportunity to read and post an honest review of this book.
An heiress and a private investigator met at a food bank…
-‘Someone had tried to kill her.’-
Chelsea Hamilton returns to the States after living abroad for several years. She returns earlier than expected when she learns of her mother’s death and she inherits the family company. While out on a hike near her home, someone tries to kill her by knocking he off a cliff. When she’s nearly shot at her father’s cabin it’s obvious she is being targeted and these incidents are no accident. But who would want her dead? And why? She’s been out of the country for years. Unsure of who to trust, she relies on God’s leading and a virtual stranger to help her find out who is trying to kill her. As they come closer to finding out the truth, she just may find out more than she’d bargained for…
-‘“Why didn’t the God you trust so much keep it from happening at all?” He stared forward, lips pressed together. “First your father, then your mother, now you. After all that tragedy, how can you still believe there’s a God who loves you?”’-
Robin Patchen always provides a riveting read! I loved the characters, the pacing, the plot… all of it! So good! This is part of a series and some previous characters make a brief appearance, but it can easily be read as a stand-alone. Christian romantic suspense at its best! I absolutely, highly recommend this book.
I truly appreciate Robin Patchen and her books . Clean,Faith based and filled with suspense ! You can’t miss this series and especially this one book .
Oh Robin, I loved this book! It is so full of excitement, drama, humor, and love. Well of course there has to be some pain thrown in to make it complete and it is a complete story. I could hardly put it down to get a little sleep! Thank you for the great story Robin!
Legacy Reclaimed is such a good book. I was able to guess the plot from close to the beginning but that is fine. The story and characters are intriguing.
The fact that God was the guiding force in the main characters story was heartwarming and substantial to the nature of the book.
Looking at the bad guys and their refusal to believe in God is also very relevant to the story.
I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a mysterious thriller with good characters and a little love thrown in!
This book was with waiting for!
I was given this book with the hope that I might leave a review. I will purchase it as soon as it is available.
I fell in love with Robin Patchen’s writing style when I read ‘Convenient Lies’. She got me hooked then, and every time I begin another of her books I keep thinking, ‘she’ll never top the last one’… but then she comes up with a new storyline that lures me in. Legacy Reclaimed is no different. It’s another page turner. You might want to clear your schedule for a day because this third book in the Legacy series is hard to put down. Don’t be surprised if it grabs you at page one. And there’s no need to try to guess who the ‘bad guy’ is because just as soon as you ‘think’ you know, you just may find yourself surprised.
This is a story of faith but also of betrayal, of loss. It’s a story with plot twists, but easy to follow. As as reader you’’ll probably be so drawn into the storyline that it seems like you are there witnessing it all. Although this is the third in the Legacy series, it can be read as a stand alone.
It’s Romantic Suspense at it’s best… true Robin Patchen style. This is not a ‘preachy’ book at all, but it doesn’t need to be. The characters themselves are a testament of faith, of overcoming hardships and struggles.
Suspense, love story, mystery, all in one! Well done and enjoyable read. Robin is quite the story teller!
I loved this book. It’s the 3rd in a series but a stand alone book. I loved how main characters from previous books were minor characters in this book that showed how they continued to lives their lives. One minor character in this book had autism – his helpfulness was much needed and appreciated. I appreciated this inclusion and how we can look past disabilities to see the real person. There is sweet, clean romance between Chelsey and Dylan, both Christians, as they try to solve past murders in her family as Dylan tries to keep her safe from present threats on her life. They are in sync as they face danger and work together to help her save her legacy – the company built by her parents. There are sections when I could not put the book down and … as always, sadness when it ended. Still thinking about the characters and looking forward to the next book.
boring
It took me a little bit to get into the book but once I did wow it was great. I loved the characters, the mention of God, and a complete mystery to boot. The two man characters, Chelsea and Dylan, had a fun developing relationship while they were trying to find who was trying to kill Chelsea. Chelsea comes back to America to try to save her family’s clothing business and finds out both her parents where murdered. Dylan the PI, was hired to help Chelsea find out not only who is trying to kill her but what happened to the thriving business which is in the red. The book was a great mystery and always something unexpected was happening. Good read.
Wow! The author has done it again. I started this book late in the day and was unable to put it down to accomplish anything until I reached that last period. There is some of everything you love about suspense with a little romance in this third book of The Legacy series. It is a page-turner that had me guessing the guilt of most every person the author introduces.
Chelsea Hamilton returns to New Hampshire after an extended time away, the sad occasion being the death of her mother. Now she is the only surviving member of her family and thus the largest shareholder in the struggling company her parents started. How can she possibly turn things around when it appears someone is trying to kill her? Accidents, murder, shootings, sabotage and missing documents keep you at the edge of your seat and demand you read on until you find explanations for all of your questions.
This ARC was received through JDO Publishing. All comments and impressions are my own and were in no way solicited.
Another book vacation in New Hampshire! Once again I’ve spotted a few old friends and made some new ones. In Legacy Reclaimed we are introduced to Chelsea Hamilton, heiress to Hamilton Clothiers of Coventry, New Hampshire. Educated in England after her father’s murder, Chelsea has returned home following her mother’s death in a car accident. Things are not as she expected, the business is failing, rumors abound, and it seems like someone wants to remove her from the equation.
Robin Patchen has once again masterfully woven together a story with memorable characters, great intrigue, and sweet romance. I carried my Kindle from chore to chore, finishing this book in one day as the Kindle read to me. Otherwise, the day would have been a total loss as I would have sat and read, unable to walk away from Chelsea’s story.
I am privileged to recommend this third book in Patchen’s Legacy series as well as her previously released books. I am grateful to have received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion. I was under no obligation to provide a positive review and received no monetary compensation.
