This is a brilliant series; I love the world the author has created and the way the different levels are treated and despite themselves form friendships and attachments. This book brings so much of the series together. This story is mesmerizing and once I started reading it I had no choice but to read it cover to cover. It’s such a well written intense story.

WOW! Remorse, revenge and a twist – O’Dea has done it again!
I absolutely loved this story. I could really feel the remorse from McBrid and the dynamics between him and Charlie were very refreshing. THAT ENDING! Talk about getting your just deserts. And that twist – diabolical. I can’t wait to see the next creation from Level Five.

The Conguise Chronicles continue with the non-stop attention grabbing plot that fans have grown to love and to hate to wait for the next installment. Wait no longer, as it’s here. It remains the can’t put it down until the last page has been read. I received an ARC in return for an honest review. Well, I honestly cannot wait for the next book from the world of Lake of Sins and the mind of L. S. O’Dea!

As usual, another intriguing read. All of the books are great and by now we know that working on Level 5 is code red every day for somebody, just depends on how the day goes who is….reded, but is it possible for somebody to leave level 5…intact (at least physically)?
* About the only time I leave a 5star review is if the book is an absolute classic, perfect in every way, and most of the time the author is already gone ( can’t improve your work for sure if you are gone). And that is why this book didn’t get 5 stars.

Heart stopping tension and suspense throughout this book. I loved meeting up again with old friends and discovering what has become of them. I was silently screaming in my head, cheering them on – the tension was practically giving me a headache! So sad that my favourite character could not go! New friendships are forged, unswerving loyalties, thirst for revenge, betrayals – this book is a page turner! I hope there is another book in this series of Conguise Chronicles, I cannot recommend it highly enough – a definite must read!

The – so far – final book in the Chimera Chronicles, Leaving Level Five, is about hope and fear. McBrid is the focus of the story but we meet other characters from earlier tales in the pentalogy. McBrid is a hero depsite the wprk he does. He still fears for his life while working for Conguise and we learn more about his world outside of the laboratory. His guilt about what he has done eats away at him as well and he fears for his charges. Fast-paced, thrilling and emotionally draining; a new character is introduced who I hope we hear more of in the future.
I just can not get enough of this series. Each book just keeps getting better and better. Conguise is pure evil. The scientist that do not live up to what he expects them to never leave level five.
LS O’Dea has outdone herself in this book because she not only gave us the horror of level five in the Conguise laboratories which the rest of the Chronicles had given us, but this time round she has given us a real heart wrencher which had me crying for a large part of the book. The friendship shown by Charlie, a guard working for Mcbrid, towards Glick, the littlest of the brush-men is so beautiful, the trust so impeccable that I was really overwhelmed. The feelings of fear and anger the monsters showed and their sentience and ability to communicate with one another was unexpected. She also satiated a bit of our need for revenge on the scientists working for the autocratic Professor. However, I for one will not rest easy before the revenge is complete and this will only happen when Conguise himself falls prey to the monsters he is creating. It is a book which is full of tension from start to finish and wow what a finish! A must read book for all who love horror and have the courage to read about these evil machinations which no doubt happen also in real life!
