“I can’t be near him. We were a disaster.” “I still want her. She leaves me breathless.”DylanTwo years ago, Jake and I ended things. Badly. For my own sanity, I have to avoid him. Now, he doesn’t want anything to do with me and the feeling is mutual. But a sick horse throws us back together, and when I’m around him, it’s difficult to be professional. Especially when all I want him to do is put me … I want him to do is put me over his shoulder, carry me away, and finish what we started two years ago.
Jake
Dylan says she broke everything between us last time for a good reason. But now she’s back and my feelings for her haven’t gone away.
We might have a second chance, but how can I trust that she won’t do the same thing this time?
Leave Me Breathless is the fourth standalone HEA in the Arizona Heat series. If you like stern cowboys, steam and discipline, this book is for you!

Jake and Dylan had a thing together awhile back but a misunderstanding sent Dylan running and doing something she would later regret. Jake has never forgotten her but is wary at giving her a chance at his heart again. But when she calls him for help Jake rushes to her side. Dylan has kept a secret from Jake and its the main reason for why she reacted to some of what they explored in their relationship. Now someone from her past has come back and is threatening her again and Jake pushes old hurts aside so he can be there for her. Will Dylan tell him her secret? Will they be able to find their way back to each other?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn’t put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A truly enjoyable second chance western romance & the fourth book in the series “Arizona Heat” but it is a complete standalone romance. I found the plot well-thought out and written with some interesting & unexpected events. The characters are well-developed with complex personalities & display realistic & believable emotional feelings & moods suited to the situations they find themselves in.
There is: a young woman with painful memories of the past (Dylan), the man with whom she reconnects after leaving him 2yrs ago (Jake), law enforcement, horse thieves, twists & turns, drama, suspense, intrigue, secrets, threats, villains, deceit, betrayal, fear, memories, anguish, uncertainty, embarrassment, domination/submission, discipline, discovery, happiness, love, some steam & a sweet, happy conclusion.
I enjoyed this emotional, second chance romance. I felt that this book really showcased the essential need for total honesty, open communication and trust in any relationship but especially in ones that feature elements of BDSM/domestic discipline. Dylan and Jake share a history and a painful past. I felt so bad for Jake but I also felt a bit of sympathy for Dylan. I did not approve of her actions and if I were Jake, I’m not sure I could have forgiven her. She did have baggage though, which isn’t a excuse, it’s just the cause of their heartbreak. It was great to check in with the previous couples from this series.
This was a sweet read.
It still surprises me when i find myself enjoying domestic discipline romances so much. Katie Douglas just has a way of writing them perfectly.
Jake and Dylan had a past, a bumpy one.
But evreyone knew, except them that it wasnt over.
There was some hard subjects in this book, but Jake and Dylan took it in stride.
I would recommend this book.
Happy reading!
