I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. A Christian novel. Maggie is a window dresser for a London department store and is falling for Edward, the heir to the store. Can the love work out with the differences between them? This book highlights love between an older couple which I enjoyed very much. Such a great description of his home and farm in the country. Definitely recommend.
Very sweet, very Christian, opposites attract story.
Loved the characters. The seem like genuinely nice people with real fears and imperfections. Glad for the start of their HEA.
I love the sweet, clean, heart warming Christian book Least Expected. One thing I really enjoyed is that it is an older couple who fall in love. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Maggie and Ed. This is an opposites attract romance. The characters are so well portrayed I feel like they would be my friends. In this story, both characters accept God’s help to become the people they are supposed to be. I highly recommend this charming romance.
I loved this book. The third in the Love in Store series. There’s wonderful quirky Maggie and stodgy mommas boy Edgar whom we met in the previous books. Can love happen for us older folks?
Loved the mix and between the two complete opposites. Edgar, wealthy department store heir but wanna be dairy farmer. And Maggie, quirky, colorful, but with a past she is trying to come to terms with. Love seeing how God works I their lives to bring them together in Him, in love and in a future.
Loved that the story used older characters. You can find love at any age. Even us 50 somethings. Loved also trying to picture the beautiful countryside in my head. Love Autumn Macarthur. I’m new to her books but she’s come to the one of my top favorites. You will enjoy this story.
I really enjoyed the way this story shows an older couple finding love! It shows real life struggles people face. Maggie has been closed off to love from past hurts, her battle with putting her faith in God while showing her true loving nature in not wanting to become a wedge in a family relationship. Ed has a strong relationship with God but has never insisted upon forcing his Mother to stop controlling his every step in life. I think this is a beautiful progression of how each of these people work through the barriers working against them to form into a healthy, faith filled loving relationship!!
Scripture warns about the need for a man to leave his parents and turn to his wife. Ed was very close to his mother and obeyed the scripture that says to honor they mother and thy father. . . Between his needing to leave his overbearing mother and Maggie needing to leave her fears to God this author gives us a great story. As these two deal with the changes in their lives and lean onto God, they deal with their issues.
This clean read from an author I haven’t read before is a great read and follows biblical principals without being preached to. It’s a great blend of story, bible verses and an hea.
