Ciera Nelson wants what any other outcast wants, invisibility. If she can just make it through the rest of her year with minor incidents and a head held low she will be able to put the hell hole they call school in her rearview. Unfortunately, life has different plans for her.
Topher Carlson is one of the biggest jocks on campus. All the guys want to be him, all the girls want to claim him. When … claim him. When secrets are uncovered, Topher’s life spins wildly out of control.
They are far from friends when the school year begins, but each will impact the other’s life in ways they never dreamed possible. Can Ciera help Topher realize that popularity and status mean nothing in the real world? Can Topher help Ciera learn the true meaning of living?
Sometimes you have to let go to really live. Sometimes being alive means taking risks.
Learning to Live is the first book in the Infinite Love series.

5-stars
I don’t even know where to begin with this one. I was not ready for the emotional roller coaster ride I was taken on with this story.
From the very first chapter I felt such strong emotions, from anger, hatred, sadness, empathy, etc. I felt it all and it didn’t let up until I reached the very end. The amount of tears I shed should probably be embarrassing but I couldn’t help it. This author wrote with so much detail that I was able to connect with the characters on such a deep level. This story felt so real, it was as if I was really experiencing this story in real life, and that is a true testament to this author’s writing ability and talent.
It’s not every day that you read a book as great as this one. This was my first book by this author but it will not be my last. I will be diving into every single one of her books ASAP.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a life changing read, one that will leave you in tears, absolutely shredded but coming out on the other side with a different outlook on life. This is not a book that should be missed.
This was a tough emotional read! Ciera wants to finish school under the radar but she is the target of her classmates. Topher is one of those classmates. Their journey apart and together is one of personal growth and learning to stand by their own principles. Have tissues on hand. This is one book you will stay with you for a long time.
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
This is a special love story. While I didn’t like the dirty language or the sexual content, this story is partially from the standpoint of a girl in high school with a brain tumor. There are a lot of feels in this story and you might want to keep tissue handy. I voluntarily chose to review this and I gave it a 5* rating. I’m not sure the under 18 readers, would want to read this. This was worth the read for me.
LTL was the first book I have ever read by Kira Adams and I must say that it was a tear jerky! Ciera is such a strong teenager, even after everything she goes through. Even though she is fighting a battle she can not win, she never gives up. She never lets that run her life or change who she is.
When Topher walks in her life and sees who she REALLY is, his strength and support makes the road Ciera is on a little easier and she lives life to the fullest as much as she can. Not only does he change her life, she changes his life as well.
LTL is so sad, but so strong and powerful at the same time. No book has ever made me cry the way this one has.
Thank you Kira for this amazing book!
Learning To Live is a heartbreaking love story following Topher and Ciera. This story will make you ugly cry and possibly make you want to throw the book at the wall at times. But it was sooo good and it will stay with me forever! I highly recommend for anyone to read!! I read this book so quick!! 5/5 stars!!!!
This book hit my feelings hard. One minute I’m laughing, then I’m crying like a baby. Oh my feels…. Ciera isn’t popular and she isn’t rich. In fact her mom is barely scraping by. They live in a 1 bedroom apartment with her brother and sister. Her best friend Sophia decided that being popular was more important than being her friend. And now Sophia and the A-Team make her life a living hell. She’s hit, pushed & made fun of. But when one of her enemies starts to actually see her. Things begin to change but is it to Little to Late?
The great character and storyline development lured me right in from the very beginning! This emotional story kept me turning the pages as the journey unfolded between Ciera and Topher! I was so invested in this story that I couldn’t put this book down until I finished reading the very last page!
Learning To Live: An Enemy to Lovers Ugly Cry by Kira Adams is the first book in the infinite Love series. This is such an emotional journey you will definitely find yourself being pulled along with it. This book is a great redemption story and it really feels like you go through the same experiences as the characters. The author has made them feel so real.
I loved the connection between the two main characters – at times it was palpable. It’s this that made the story what it is. This is the first book that I have read by this author but I know for sure it won’t be the last!
On a roll with this one also being another new to me author. This also begins as a YA which is refreshing to read at times. Brings back memories on what was did and such too. Anyways this is one that begins a series that this one centers around Ciera and Topher. It is also not light hearted but in my opinion a bit on the dark side too. You are purposely sit up with the beginning to hand over gradually your emotions to this author who will captivate you senseless. As this grows you will disappear in them. Have in hand something to sniffle in too. By the time you are finished you will have a new author to go to that could rip you anytime.
Ciera teaches Topher that it doesn’t matter where you come from or your social status that you should learn to live life with what you feel. You can see Ciera change from someone with little confidence to someone with confidence with the help of a few friends. You see how Topher goes from a character that you can hate to one you can love throughout the story.
Ciera sees the changes in Topher from the bad boy who tormented her to someone else, that she cares for and who doesn’t care what other people think anymore. Their journey is an emotional read and the ending as well – can’t wait to see what’s next in this series.
Was not expecting all the emotions! I didn’t read the blurb. I went in blind to this book. Wow! These characters, Ciera and Topher, had so much to go through in such a short time. Ciera helped him learn to be a true friend and better person. Topher helped her to learn to live. An emotional read. Will be reading more from this author.
