Once upon a time, I was a prince… A single night with Megaera and I’m willing to do anything to save her from Hades, the man holding her captive, victim to his every whim. A bargain with the devil himself seems a small price to pay in order for Megaera to go free… Until I learn that she’s exactly where she wants to be. She’s Queen to Hades’s King. And I’m the fool that walked right into their … Queen to Hades’s King.
And I’m the fool that walked right into their trap.
The same fool who desires them both as much as I hate them. I can’t resist Megaera’s touch—or stop from being drawn to Hades’s dark desires. By the time I realize just how deep a game he’s playing, it may be too late…
For all of us.

As a Disney favorite, I didn’t know I needed a submissive “Wonder Boy” and a silver fox Dominant Hades. But I KNOW I needed a kinky switch Megaera!
This is an Angsty-Feel Rollercoaster and I Enjoyed Every Single Minute of This Ride! I’m So Addicted to this Series, I Truly Can’t Get Enough.. As a Disney Fan and Romance/Erotica Lover I was Beyond Impressed. This Disney Trouble was Scrumptious Meg is the Queen of the Underworld, the Nightclub where Hades is King. Their Relationship has been deteriorating for some time now. Hades no longer confides his plans with her & he’s been distant. Hades feels something is wrong in his relationship and, instead of talking to her, he decides to give her a present: Hercules and What Present He Is.. Their HEA is Heartbreaking Beautiful Definitely Your Next 5 Read..
Kink club with Disney characters! How could you go wrong!
4.5 stars. I really enjoyed the concept of this one. Not just that it was a retelling (tho a naive Hercules getting in over his head was an absolute delight), but a romance about finding love again, reinvigorating it, after a decade together made things more jagged edges than starry eyes. This is a shade of Grumpy/sunshine trope – bedraggled worn down/rose tinted glasses. Seeing both Meg & Hades struggle while obviously caring for each other had my heart in my throat, this is absolutely a story I’ll read again.
I feel like it’s important to note that this series is smuttier than what I normally go for in romance, and that might affect my rating/enjoyment, but I love retellings so I have to read them
I really enjoyed this! I liked how respectful and thoughtful they seemed to be, and how Hades was encouraged to share more about what was going on in his head. There was a whole lot of steamy scenes, straight off the bat! Definitely continuing on with the series!
Meg made a bargin with Hades to save the soul of a man who threw her away. Ten years later, she meets Hercules through Hades’s plots and he tries to save her. The problem? She didn’t need saving and now they are both owned by him.
I was expecting Hercules to be a dominant character and was pleasantly surprised that he was not. It actually suited him more to be a submissive and the way that Hades and Meg interact with him and each other was natural and incredibly steamy. The unexpected triad is one of my favorites to date because we see character development from it and we see them learn to become better in their roles.
Villains just want to be loved too… in a kinky way! And I’m so here for it. Classic princess stories reimagined with a dark, dirty twist. BDSM-y erotic romance.
Meg, Meg.. such a rich character. I love that she owns her sexuality. I love that this isn’t all a new relationship. That it wasn’t a dramatic falling out, but the daily grind that made them grow a part. I love the Herc was so good for them. I loved them finding their balance.
There are some things about this book that I liked more than Book 1, and some things I liked less. But overall, I really enjoyed it, and it was steamy af!
Those of you who know anything about me know that I’m a HUGE fan of M/M lol. Like, it’s no secret. And because of that, I also love M/M/F, I prefer polyamorous MMF thruples to just regular menage, though sometimes it’s trickier for me to get into them if I don’t like/relate to all three characters and want them all together.
Wanna take a guess who my favorite character was in this book?? I’ll give you a hint, it wasn’t Hades LOL.
I’m now a bonafide Hercules lover. I ADORED that man. He was everything I didn’t know I needed in a MMF book boyfriend. Apparently as much as I love alpha jerks, I love the big, hulking guy who likes to submit even more. Hercules isn’t your standard sub, no sir. He’s just as alpha as Hades, or Meg, but he just happens to like being on his knees, which is a huge turn-on when a giant dude is doing it, imho ;-P
Anyway, I loved the dynamic between him and Hades. Hades is your classic Dom. Older, sexy af, a little scary, and cocky as hell. But also super protective of what’s his, which I love.
The only person I was too crazy about was… you guessed it… Meg. She was cool, don’t get me wrong, but I felt like a lot of the book was dealing with her trying to figure out what she wanted and being super skeptical of everything. I mean, she spent 10 years with Hades and she still couldn’t bring herself to just talk to him to figure out their issues. That’s annoying to me. I hate characters who don’t communicate.
Plus, as much as I love badass heroines, I’m not crazy about the Domme ones. There have been ones I’ve related to more in the past. I liked Meg more when she was at Hades’ side like his partner in crime. ANd honestly, I didn’t really understand her and Hercules together.
But Hades and Hercules together was awesome for me. I loved when they started to realize their attraction and play on it a little. Those are my fave parts of MM books. The initial attraction and giving into the temptation just a bit.
I loved this book a lot, but my LEAST FAVORITE thing, which drove me NUTS btw, were all the editing issues! There were tons of typos, random structural issues AND it kept slipping in words in past tense, when the book is written in present. That’s a huge turn-off for me, especially with a bestselling author who obviously has editors and proofreaders. I want to know what the hell they were smoking when they worked on this book lol. It drives me nuts because I get crucified over a few typos, but then you’ve got bestselling authors publishing books all jacked up like this.
ANYWAY, enough about that lol. Despite that irritation, this book was awesome. It still gets a 5 star from me, which is saying something.
I loved this book! It was a quick, hot read that grabbed me from the first page. The characters stoped my heart. It was the story of Hades, Meg, and Hercules like ibe never read before. The plot was fast-paced. The depth of emotion shocked me. This was my first book by Katee Robert and now I have to go read all of her other books!
Hades and Megaera had a lot to fix in their relationship; luckily Hades found Hercules and while the deal started as revenge, the three quickly found themselves entwined with one another. This extremely steamy romance contained a bit of danger, a bit of BDSM with a lot of love.
I really enjoyed this. I don’t think I liked as much as Desperate Measures, but this was exactly the kind of steamy, hot and quick read I needed. The dynamic between Hades, Hercules and Meg was fire. And the vulnerable (ish) side of Hades was nice to see, even though it was a very slim glimpse. But this series is definitely one I will reread.
I loved this story and could not put it down. The chemistry was passionate and the scenes so steamy, MMF hot poly relationship.
I think I’m just gonna call it at this point: I’m 100% obsessed with Katee Robert and her erotic writing skills. This series is EVERYTHING, and if you haven’t started it yet consider me that annoying person in your ear constantly recommending until you finally succumb.
In book one, Desperate Measures, we met Daddy Jafar and his little girl Jasmine. And in that book we got brief glimpses of Hades and Meg. It was just enough to wet the appetite and leave me wanting more. And then I find out that this isn’t a Hades/Meg story. No, no, no. That’s too simple. Let’s throw Hercules in there and make this a MMF bisexual threesome. Like are you fucking kidding me? I craved this book with every fiber of my kinky heart, and my girl Katee Robert did not disappoint. I find that she never does. She’s after my soul, and I’d sell it to her in a heartbeat.
Simply put, I fucking loved this book. It was perfect.
Read this if you enjoy:
-Dom/sub, Domme/sub
-MMF/bisexual relationships
-the sex club scene
Overall rating: 5 stars
Steaminess: 4 stars
4.5 Stars!
This book is on an entirely different level when it comes to relationship dynamics.
Hades was in this book was almost God-like and I LOVE that. He was this irresistible enigma who you want to worship. At the same time, I adore that Katee made him bare his emotions and humanize him. That was the highlight of the book for me.
Meg is my Queen and I’d go to war with her. Her entire character arc is what I live for. Sure she had her fault but I think those were the reason I loved her so much. She is definitely the kind of character I want to see more of.
Hercules is so so pure. I just wanted to hug the heck out of him and protect him from the world. His devotion for Meg and then Hades made me swoon so much. He is pure but not naive and that is just chef’s kisses .
I feel like Hades and Hercules’ part of the relationship could have been a bit more detailed but other than that this book was insanely good. I live for well written and executed MMF relationships and Learn My Lesson was EXACTLY what I love to read.
I am super pumped for the next book in the series because Hook & Tink. They are going to make me weak. I just know it.
I recieved an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Holy hot Hades!!! To say this book is , is putting it mildly. I think I had a heat stroke reading this book !

Ok first off Katee Robert has totally ruined the tales of Aladdin and Hercules for me. This is no fairy tale or Disney movie. This is the dark and dirty, twisted antiDisney tale.
This is the book that will turn bad guys into characters you will cheer for! We get to explore Hades domain the Underworld, a BDSM club where those that have made deals with him pay their debts. There is MM, FF, MF, and MMF in this book so if you have a hard limit on that…skip this book…if you have no limits, keep reading!
Hades is always plotting and planning some nefariousness, so when he pushes Meg, his Queen towards Hercules you have to wonder what his motives are. All becomes clear as secrets, insecurities and trust become shared. Where Hercules was supposed to be a pawn in a game, could he actually turn out to be the one that changes the rules of the game? There is only one way to find out, Grab this book! Be sure to wear ovenmits when you start reading because it will cause both your device and you to overheat!
If you are a fan of unconventional retellings of fairytale’s, grab this series! Katee Robert is great at dirtying up our childhood stories! Happy reading be sure to have a cool drink and a fan near by!
This book starts off as story about revenge and turns into quite an emotional ride. Hades wants revenge and sees a perfect way to get it. Meg, always a willing participant in Hades plans, finds herself questioning her participation. And Hercules, poor Hercules, is about to find himself thrust into a world he could have never thought existed.
I loved this book! I loved the dynamic between the characters. First it was just about Meg and Herc. Then Hades and Meg. Then Hades and Herc. Then Meg, Hades AND Herc. Whew. There is a lot going on here. And it is sexy as fuck! No really.
The thing I really love about this series so far are the little glimpses we get into the other characters in this world. Characters whose books we will eventually be reading. Katee is fantastic at making me want to know more about them and that just makes the wait for subsequent books much longer!
I devoured this book in one sitting. It is hot and emotional, wild and satisfying all in one go. Hades is the king, Meg is the queen, and along comes Hercules to bring them all closer. LOVE. If Katee Robert is not on your auto-buy list, then I don’t know what you are doing with your life.
The Wicked Villains series gets better with each book (and I wasn’t sure how she could top Desperate Measures) and I literally cannot wait for the next one!
The Wicked Villains series is everything I didn’t know I wanted.
Anti-hero lovers are going to devour this series. I didn’t read the first book yet with Jasmine and Jafar (yes, THAT Jafar!), but it’s going in my eyeballs soon. Learn My Lesson is a polyam romance featuring Hades and Megara and Hercules (say what?!).
Hades and Meg are in a…bargain turned deep relationship, but after ten years, it has gone a little sour. There’s no communication, and Meg is wondering if love is enough. That’s when Hades proposes a game—one that includes a blonde-haired waiter named Hercules (and yes, THAT Hercules).
How wicked cool is this? A relationship on the rocks, a Hercules considering a full-on Ramen diet to make ends meet, and it all takes place in the Underworld—an earthbound kink club. How relatable all these characters become just charmed and floored me.
There’s even an “Ma’am this is an Arby’s” reference that just about killed me. The mix of pop culture, modern day, and mythological creatures is so mesmerizing that I couldn’t put this book down. The mix of Dominant and submissive, and seeing characters like Tink and Hook and mentions of Beast and Gaston…
I’m dying for more.
A side plot thickens the tension and increases the trouble between Hades and Meg. But the dynamic of how Hercules fits in to it all it just perfect. This story was masterfully crafted, layered with humor and super sexy consent. This is an erotically charged romance for any avid anti-hero fanatic who wants to see some unlikely pairs get it on—both in and out of bed.
5 stars!
I find myself running out of superlative adjectives to describe Katee Robert’s books. “Learn My Lesson” is yet another 5 star read from an author whom I expect to bring all kinds of sexiness and feels to her writing. The WICKED VILLAINS series started with a bang, and I can not recommend “Desperate Measures” more. Jasmine and Jafar were incredible. Ms. Robert brings that same magic to the next book, this time featuring Hades, Meg and Hercules. The series itself is a fantastic premise — reimagining the villains of lore and legend and spinning their stories on their axis. In this book we get to know Hades, a man who seemingly controls everything, his significant other, Meg, who finds herself longing for more, and Hercules, the man who might be able to give the two lovers what they need. Three is definitely NOT a crowd in this story. It has everything you want — romance, passion, intense emotions. (Plus there are some wickedly sexy times.) I highly recommend this latest from Katee Roberts, and look forward to more from her incredible imagination!
