I needed a lift after reading a number of dark crime tales. Leave it to Janet Evanovich and Stephanie Plum. On request from Ranger, Stephanie investigates her former husband, Dickie Orr. They’d been married for about fifteen minutes before Stephanie filed for divorce. Things get a little out of hand, okay, very out of hand when Stephanie tries to …
Book bub question-what’s the last book that made you laugh out loud? There have been many that have done just that, sometimes to my embarrassment while in public, but my favorite one has to be this one! Exploding critters! Grandma and Lula are priceless and hysterically funny in this one. Trust me you will understand why Stephanie left her husband …
I still like Ranger better but Joe has some uses. I knew Stephanie wasn’t guilty but I did have a fear there that she was going to be needing Vinnie to write her bail. I’m glad Ranger put it out there to Joe that he wants Stephanie for himself so there won’t be any surprises later. Who will she chose?

Love anything written by Evanovich. Her first 20 books were pee-your-pants funny. The last few are just mildly hilarious. In any case, her characters are a hoot and the plots are varied to keep you interested.
You may want to read in private. You will not be able to hold the laughter in.
Laugh out loud funny, as always. This Stephanie Plum Series is quite entertaining.

3+ out of 5 stars for Lean Mean Thirteen, the 13th book in the “Stephanie Plum” mystery series, written in 2007 by Janet Evanovich. What can you say about a girl who is half in love and half in lust with two different men, only to have one of her ex-husbands show up, then be killed. And she’s the chief suspect! But she’s a bounty hunter on the …
