Temptation can come in any form.As long as it wasn’t Melissa Roux. Daniel Cooper had known that since the first moment he’d seen the new physio for the Buffaloes. As captain, he had to set an example and falling head over heels for the feisty blonde with the endless long legs, wasn’t the way to do it.Melissa knew Daniel was going to be a problem from the first day she walked into Buffaloes … day she walked into Buffaloes Stadium. There was no way she was going to risk her career for an arrogant chauvinist who called her a blonde bimbo. For that, she worked too hard to get her dream job.
Neither had reckoned with the undeniable chemistry between them and the famous Cooper curse. When he couldn’t hide it anymore, Daniel made a simple request which had more repercussions than he expected. In his quest to find the truth, he made another error in judgement, risking not only Melissa’s career but also the loyalty of his team and the Club.
Daniel and Melissa both had to make important decisions: what’s more important? Your career or love?
Note: This romance contains expletives but no sex, unlike most sports romances. If this is not what you’re looking for, I’m sorry. This was all the characters wanted to share.

“Taking a chance even when there’s barely a gap” – fantastic sport’s romance
It’s not my first book of this author and I have to say the more I read the more I fell in love with the writing style. I admire how easily it is to read so emotionally complicated stories with the characters that are really multidimensional. There’s nothing flat about the story line or plot. And how stories, events from other characters from the Rugby world are easily weaved into the book without giving anything out but also without unnecessary repetition from other books.
This book is perfect build-up in tension and dramatic events. Some are heartbreaking some made me smile. What really kept me turning pages was the perfectly structured story that wouldn’t allow me to put the book down. I had to know what’s next. And believe me there’s a lot going on.
Maybe the romance is slow burning but all events around are paced perfectly. This book was perfect read for me as I enjoy reading books that talks about real life troubles and that move me. And here the real trouble was communication or more like lack of thereof.
He is the star and she is the new physio the sparks flies between them but neither will act on it as it would ruin both their careers. He makes a suggestion which may just ruin everything they had worked so hard for. What is the suggestion? Will they lose their careers? See how they get on

Leading from the Front: A Playing for Glory Romance by Francine Beaton. This is the first book that I’ve read from this author and I definitely will be reading more when they come available. Her characters have chemistry, and her storyline is amazing. The story catch you from the first page and it’s a slow burn till the very end.

Here we’re back with the Baffolo’s where capitan Daniel has his turn to get his head turned & the decision of what to do about the team’s promise about being celebrate during the season.
Though Daniel’s seems to be quite easy, as the woman (Chole) who he’s attracted to seems to hate him though he no idea.
So we have a lot of what’s going on & the trying to get into the reasoning of why & which way things, might go between them..
Come & find out & also see what might happen between Jakes & the woman he has fallen fall, Angie comes back on the scene.
Another fantastic episode from the Baffolo’s Rugby League
This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Francine Beaton; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

A story with a nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters most of the time. I did not like that she did not communicate with him because that could have cleared a lot of misunderstandings and it was too long-drawn-out for me.
Entertaining and captivating mostly. A story that tells the reader not to judge people by how they look but how they act and are.
While I loved taste for coffee this book didn’t grip me as much. Despite that I’m giving my rating based on non subjective factors. This was expertly written, you can understand the characters points of view and how the story unfolds, doesn’t leave anything uncovered. Maybe I didn’t like it as much because it was foo real, the characters too real, the situations too real and I was not in the mind frame to be reminded of “real”. Sometimes doesn’t matter how good a story is all you need are sparkly vamps, I think I’m at that stage. Great book, if you are up for a heavy dose of reality.
This is the third book in the A Playing for Glory Romance series a well written story that kept me turning pages. A book I could not put down once I had started so a very late night. Melissa Roux and Daniel Cooper’s story is one I will be reading again. I recommend this book. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
A really nice read. Sometimes first impressions are hard to get over and change so I’m glad Melissa and Daniel worked it out in the end.
This is a wellwritten and fadtpaced story that I enjoyed a lot. Loved the storyline and the characters. Will check out other book in this series.
The story was interesting. The romance was frustrating in a good way. The biggest problem I had while reading this book was with all of the similar names for secondary characters. I had a bit of trouble keeping track of who was who outside the main cast.
This is part of a series however it didn’t matter that I hadn’t read the previous books as it didn’t impact this story. I will say it is definitely a sports romance as there are a lot of detailed references to rugby union in this book.
Melissa, the new physio for the Buffaloes was off to a bad start with the captain of the team Daniel. He being totally oblivious to her standoffishness. He’s actually a good guy & none of his friends or team mates have any idea of her reasons. Many a time he tries to win her over, as they both have an instant attraction, despite all the weirdness between them.
Melissa’s ex & her work ethic play a big part in her decisions of not being involving with Daniel. Plus the team have a pledge going on. The focus is definitely on the team & I will add there are quite a few characters in this book you need to wrap your head around. So this is definitely a story for sports fans esp Rugby Union ones.
I received a complimentary copy for honest review.
What’s that saying about eavesdropping again.. yeah that one. An eavesdropper never hears any good about themselves.
I felt that this was a good way to round up the first interactions between Melissa and Daniel. However instead of clearing the air and being upfront about what she had inadvertently heard, Melissa holds it against Daniel and this shows a lot into their interactions. This carried out throughout the book really and was my biggest bugbear.
However there is the issue of ethics for Melissa where she could be fired for getting involved with a patient and i rooted for her on this as I could see she was was getting started and limited interactions didn’t say happily ever after.
For me this was slow moving and the majority of these two interactions were limited and group lead, while we get the feelings from sight and head feelings.
Slow burner as per the blurb and no explicit event, everything was quite mild and chaste.
If you are into Rugby then this will be good as it revolves heavily around matches, teammates and all that jazz.
