I thought I’d left him behind in high school. Aiden was always hard to resist.Bad boy with a chiseled chest to die for. Now, years later… again.
And accepting his job offer.
This is a disaster.
How am I supposed to resist his charm when he’s my boss?
Especially when he’s being protective again.
Yes, I’m in trouble
And Aiden is my only hope.
I knew that being drawn to him was inevitable.
But what happens after I fall in love?
He’s still a playboy.
Still drool-worthy.
And me?
I can’t stay away from him if I tried.
My heart is on the line… again.
Is history going to repeat itself?

They were high school sweethearts until she went to college on the other side of the country. Seven years later fate brings them back together when she is down on her luck and he is there to save her from being attacked. Love Mia and Aiden! Highly recommend!
LAWYER AND THE BOSS
Seven years ago Mia was accepted to Stanford causing the relationship with her high school boyfriend to fall apart. Now, she’s back in New York, dropped her jerk of a boyfriend and barely getting by. Life threw her some curves she wasn’t expecting, but the biggest one was having Aiden suddenly coming to her rescue.
Aiden wasn’t blessed with the kinds of smarts Mia had so letting her go to follow her dreams was a sacrifice he was willing to make for the girl he loved. Now, he’s a CEO of his own company, having surrounded himself with the right people and working hard. But suddenly seeing Mia again has stirred up all those old feelings and he’s determined to never let her walk away again.
Great characters, a relationship that was believable, and just the perfect mix of angst and drama.
Was okay but not for me in the end
Lawyer and the BOSS is the second book in the Billionaire’s Obsession series and the first book I have read by author R. S. Elliot. I was not sure what to expect but I liked the book description so I decided to give this “new to me” author a try. I was not sure what to say when I read this book initially as I both liked and hated it.
Aiden and Mia were high school sweethearts who broke up when it came time for her to go off to Stanford to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer. Mia was the bookworm who always got good grades and received a scholarship. Meanwhile Aiden was the quintessential athlete in school who was an average student. He didn’t go to college and instead worked for his uncle in his business.
Now fast forward several years and both Mia and Aiden have not ended up where you would expect. Mia is a waitress at a diner in NYC. Her dream of becoming a lawyer long ago burned on the ash heap because of certain choices she made while at university and also the devastating loss of her father. Aiden is now a billionaire businessman after working hard for his uncle. He is in NYC and happens to come into the same diner she is working at and sees her there. Aiden ends up begin her knight in shining armor and saving her from the life she is living. While Mia just lets him save her without a fight or wanting to do things on her own.
The writing was good but for me the characters were just not what I would have expected with this type of story-line. As this is my first time reading a book by this author I will reserve my full judgement as maybe I just picked a book that was not for me, which happens.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
4*
Mia & Aiden were happy together he was dedicated to sports she was dedicated to school.
When her college acceptance letter came she found it wasn’t a 100% happy occasion it should be.
Decisions are hard but was it the right one?
