It’s kittens for Octo-Cat when an orphaned litter shows up at our doorstep. And although the needy litter may be cute, the deadly mystery they bring with them is anything but.Charles has been hinting at a big surprise he’s planned for our first Valentine’s Day together, but the arrival of the kittens quickly changes everything. Now he’s helping me figure out who put the babies on my porch and why … porch and why their paws are covered in blood.
Meanwhile Octo-Cat is left to play babysitter to the unruly brood while we investigate, and he’s none too happy about it.
Right, so all we have to do is keep the kittens safe, solve their mystery, find forever homes for them, and try to find a way to salvage Valentine’s Day. That shouldn’t be too impossible…

Lawless Litter by Molly Fitz is the 11th a Pet Whisperer PI series. Angie Russo finds a box of kittens on her doorstep with blood on them. Octo-Cat is not happy with the new additions who believe him to be their daddy. Paisley, though, is tickled with the kittens who call her mommy. Angie enlists Charles to help her find out where the kittens came from. Nan works on finding good homes for the adorable munchkins while Octo-Cat is left to babysitting much to his annoyance. Angie wants to get this case wrapped up before Valentine’s Day because Charles told her he has something special planned for them. Lawless Litter was a delightful story. I laughed so often while reading this cute tale especially the scenes with Octo-Cat and the kittens. Lawless Litter can be read as a standalone for those new to the Pet Whisperer PI series. I found this story a quick and easy read (I sat down and read it straight through). Octo-Cat and Pringle are just outrageous with their demands. Charles is such a sweetie. He is the perfect partner for Angie. I do not know how Angie puts up with all the chaos in her life. Molly Fitz wrote an amusing tale that lightened up my day. Lawless Litter has Angie, Charles, Nan, Paisley, Octo-Cat and Pringle involved in a hilarious mystery involving adorable, playful kittens. Lawless Litter has cute kittens, a battered box, a tricky raccoon, a maddening moggy, and a bathetic beau.
This is a fun light hearted mystery with no dead bodies involved and a high cuteness factor involved. This is such a fun series and I admire the author imagination, the conversation she dreams up between Angie and the animals is so funny. I use to think it would be cool to know what my pet was saying but after reading this series I have decided I am better off not knowing otherwise I wouldn’t sleep, Cats and nunchucks. The only bed thing I have to say is the mystery is sadly lacking and I know Angie is a private investigator but bribing animals to track down clues is not running an investigation. Other than that I loved it (and the cover) the thought of Octo-cat shaping young kittens minds, good job for Paisley the dog and for great characters.
Angie and Charles have the rare chance to spend the day together ahead of any Valentine celebrations. That is until a box of five kittens covered in blood is discovered on there front porch. With no note and the kittens unable to say much Angie and Charles launch an investigation into what happened. But with Charles running off to buy kitten food and Angie bargaining with Pringle for help who will look after the kittens? Octo-cat is the king of the house the last thing he wants is for five fur balls stealing his limelight or calling him daddy. Can Angie find out the mystery behind the kittens before any Valentine plans need to be cancelled?
I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Yet another mystery for Angie, Octo-Cat (daddy), Nan, Pringle, Paisley, and Charles, Valentines Day takes on a whole new meaning after reading this short read.
I just love that little Paisley. I wish I had one just like her.
This was a fun. well-written story. Angie, Octo-Cat and their friends and loved ones are back, in the middle of another mystery. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as others by this author.
When a litter of kittens show up on her front porch with blood on their paws Angie already knows that Valentine’s Day will not be as planned. Angie and Charles must find out who left the kittens for her and where did the blood come from while a grumpy Octo-Cat must play babysitter. Can they get this mystery solved in time to not ruin their plans or will their special night be ruined? Will Octo Cat stay grumpy or will he finally enjoy his new charges and give Angie a break from his grumpy mood. Loved this pet detective story and highly recommend it to everyone who is a pet lover. Definitely another 5 star story and characters, grab your copy today and start reading.
Angie and Octo-cat are at it again. It seems that every story has them finding homes for animals, they may be in the wrong business. There is the usual cast of characters with lots of humour and animals misbehaving. Angie has her hands full but with Charles to help her she manages to solve the mystery and find time for romance.
Valentine’s Day is near but can Angie and Charles have a romantic date or will be they get involved into something? Well add to that five adorable kittens, one stray dog and you have the perfect mystery.
This is a quiet, fairly straightforward cost mystery as Per Whisperer OK has its own case to deal with when a box of kittens with bloody paws is found in Angi Russo’s doorstep. The five kittens cause a ruckus in the life of Octo Cat who tries to make them in his image; Paisley who wants to “mommy” them, and even Pringle who tries to make new deals based upon what he says he knows or could find out.
What a way to plan a Valentine’s Day!
Molly Fitz is an amazing storyteller that continues to entertain and release great books. Highly Recommended 5/5
[Disclaimer: I received this book from the author and voluntarily read and reviewed it]
Another winner in the Pet Whisperer series! It is a wonderful story and holds your attention. I loved all the animals and the interaction between them and Angie. I highly recommend this book and the whole series! I received an ARC copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
A cute quick read but lacking a bit in the mystery. The humor is there throughout and has a sweet ending.
Molly Fitz has given us more adorable animals, kittens! I love the reactions of the three furry residences of Angie’s home. Octavius, aka Octo-cat, isn’t thrilled to share his room with the kittens and takes full advantage of that fact. I would love to have Pringle’s negotiation skills or to love as Paisley. These stories are so delightful and I look forward to the next one.
This is another feel good story in the series that will make you smile and laugh as you read. There were more animals added to the growing menagerie and some cute animal antics developed as well. Poor Angie Russo tried to figure out how the five kittens ended up on her doorstep while also having to carter to the whims of Octo-Cat and Pringo, that pesky raccoon. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Who left the box full of kittens on Angie’s porch? Angie and the gang solve this mystery. Loved that Charles was in this book more – he and Angie make the cutest couple. They definitely have a unique relationship. Romance for more than one couple!!
When a box of kittens covered in blood shows up on Angie and Octo-Cat’s doorstep, Angie has a mystery on her hands. Where did the orphans come from and are they injured are just two questions that Angie must ask. Charles came over to spend a relaxing day with Angie but soon changes his plans to help her with all that’s going on including compromising with the animals in her life. Valentine’s Day is also just around the corner. It’ll be the first one for Angie and Charles and he has a day all planned out. But when Angie wants to play matchmaker, will he give those plans up?
This is a wonderful series and this book is no exception. I was drawn in from the beginning and kept hooked until the end, reading it in one sitting. Angie’s relationship with Octo-Cat ranges from touching to exasperating and all the emotions in between making the book an enjoyable read. I was given an ARC of this book and this is my honest review. I’m eager for the next book and highly recommend both this book and the series which I suggest you read in order.
This one is good but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the others. The funniest parts are the kittens saying to Octo-Cat & Paisley “Mommy, Yes, Mommy. There is no real murder. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary, honest review.c
