From the author of the *Amazon Top 100* bestselling mystery/suspense series, Redwood Violet, comes the third installment, Law of Five.
“A gripping, psychological mystery” – D. Donovan, Midwest Book Review
The nationwide manhunt for a killer begins and the media quickly dubs him the “Highway Hunter.” Bodies left roadside on display with horrific markings; a calling card. But this case is … display with horrific markings; a calling card. But this case is miles away from Katie Reid and her life with Detective Marshall Avery.
That is, until she gets the call from her old friend and reporter, Marc Aguilar, who believes that the killer could be coming their way.
With Katie’s work at the San Diego Police Department and her recent personal struggles, questions are raised about the future. She resists the urge to consider Marc’s request, knowing Marshall will insist that this isn’t their fight.
However, when an acquaintance is suspected of a murder all too similar to that of the so-called Highway Hunter, a dark shadow is cast upon the city. Now, the investigation is dropped at the doorstep of the SDPD and so is Katie’s friend, FBI Agent Nick Scarborough.
With growing evidence suggesting there could be more than one killer, four lives have already been taken. Who will be number five?

This was a great book twists and turns great writing
My type of book, lots of twists and turns.
Like this series.
This was a great book.
Enjoyed this book a lot, page turner!
Could not put it down. Unexpected twists and turns.
A good series, although it is a slight stretch for a researcher to be so involved in an active investigation, but look at the NCIS TV series. That aside this was a good police procedural with some solid investigations. An enjoyable and fast read.
Based on evil lurking everywhere.
I enjoyed this book and found it interesting to the end.
This book was absolutely spellbinding!
I enjoyed this book so much I completed the entire 10 book series in less than a week!
Enjoy the Kate Reid series.
Very simple i believe this is one of the best books i have ever read. I started it one morning & put it down only to order pizza. Took all day to finish it but i couldn’t put it down. So intense in places you can hardly read fast enough. Finishing it early this morning left me wanting the next in this series.
yet another “omg i cannot stay up any later but how can i turn off the light now” read…. need i say more. love the whole d*mn series!! they take you on a wild ride and back; or maybe they just dump you somewhere else. i don’t know and i really don’t care as they are fabulous!
Superb character development in Kate, Marshall and Nick. Again highly emotional story and writing. The plot was exceptional! Curious to read of Kates growth in the 3rd book and how she once again handles the adversity.
Love the way Robin writes….always a roller coaster ride!!
I enjoyed the realism to the novel, although gorey at times, the author was most descriptive, the imagination can only expand on that. If you like murder/mystery…can’t miss with this one.
This is book 2 in the Kate Reid series. Follow Kate, her boyfriend Marshall and FBI agent Scarborough as they try to catch a serial killer or killers. The writing is very good.
Kate Reid is an admirably scrappy, feisty protagonist.
