Darn it cliff hangers! But oh my I will be getting the next book because these characters are fabulous.
Great story line and details throughout that kept me entertained. The emotions really come through (book written as female characters point of view). Very easy to follow the plot, book is about 130 pages so not too short but not nearly long enough for me lol especially now that I need to grab the next book so I can finish these character’s story. And I know I’ll be reading the other story of the series that follows Georgia and her trip to Desire.
A fairy tale of “you wouldn’t believe what happened” story
Easy read.
Not realistic but totally fantasy
Who wouldn’t like to read such a great book. This author has a way of making you feel like you are the main character. The journey from beginning to end is fantastic. There are definitely some steamy pages that will leave you wanting more…
Fantastic- every girls fantasy come true
Only bad was it has a cliffhanger!
cliffhanger ending, disappointed.
Must have 2 books to finish the story
I am sorry I wasted my time reading this “book.” I will never read or buy from this author again. A book, even in a series, is a complete stand-alone story with plot points like a beginning hook, first plot point, midpoint, plot twists, and most importantly, a climax with a conclusion. All the foreshadowing and setup (i.e., promises you’ve made to the reader) need to be wrapped up in a satisfying way. That’s why you invest in a story. Not providing that to readers is disrespectful of their time. As such, this “story” is just a very long setup to the next “book” in the series, where I guess the story will be completed? Who knows? I’m not going to invest any more time or money in figuring it out. Is this the author’s way of “hooking” readers so they will buy all the books in the series? If so, it’s a cheap trick. If you have a series, you want to have a couple of loose ends or a lingering question so readers will want to read the next book, but the story itself must be complete if they choose not to. Not a cliffhanger. That’s more appropriate for a soap opera or TV series.
Aside from the lack of proper novel structure, the book itself had an interesting premise but the first-person narrative style means you spend a lot of time in Danielle’s head, and she’s not a very convincing or interesting (or well-developed) character. Her thoughts are all over the place, and there’s really no backstory other than her bad sex life. No exploration of how she became who she is or her family life or who she is as a person beyond her intimacy problems. How did she develop those? She blames it on her bad experience with her boyfriend, but of course something must have triggered that. You’d think with all this time spent in her head, you’d get to see something more of her other than her reactions to being touched by a movie star. It would have been great to have the other lead’s perspective too – why not spend half the book in his head? First-person perspective is OK, but it by its nature becomes terribly one-sided. Not ideal for a romance with two people involved. At least switch POVs between the two to make it more balanced. Why is Danielle’s story more important than Evan’s?
And finally, the whole book was one repetitive hookup scene after another. Such little meaningful dialogue. So if that’s what you’re looking for, this could be the book for you. Here’s the whole book in a nutshell: A girl goes to a resort, somehow catches the eye of a famous actor with a mysterious tattoo, and they have sex for a week, and she doesn’t know how to feel about it. At the end, ***SPOILER ALERT*** he asks her to stay another week and you have to wait till the next book to find out any more information.
Not very realistic and it just cuts off. No ending really. Dissatisfied with it.
CLIFFHANGER I don’t like cliffhangers!
cliffhanger
The book was a quick read. A little too lite for my taste.
I liked the story but was disappointed that it ended in a cliffhanger
