“You look at me like I’m the last woman in the world.”“And what if you are?”While his twin brother was taking risks and making mistakes, Sean Kinney set out to be “the good son,” selling mattresses in River Canyon’s only department store, because well… Nothing is scary about mattresses, is there? After meticulously plotting out his life, Sean never thought a woman could fit into the plan, never … woman could fit into the plan, never thought he could be so reckless with his heart, despite his jealousy toward the love his brothers have found—the women they call home.
But when the strikingly beautiful and equally careful Lindsey Molloy walks into his life after setting her mattress on fire, something in his practiced routine shifts. Before he realizes what’s happening, he’s taking risks, taking chances, all for her, and he begins to wonder…
Could she be exactly what he needs to break his habits?
Could she be his home?

Kelsey Kingsley writes like a fairy-tale! I highly recommend these three novellas, which tell a family story that is hopeful and swoony and sweet and filled with sexy Irish heroes.
While I’m not usually a big fan of instalove, I didn’t feel the typical “yeah, right!” with Sean & Lindsey. What I mean to say is even though they fell in love in the short span of a week, it never felt forced or rushed or unbelievable. I could totally sense their connection, and Kelsey has such a talent for character building that I’m always completely emersed in the charismatic Kinney family. I very enthusiastically recommend this book!
Oh my I don’t know what to put here . This story Kelsey you kill me with this one. I thought that I already had my favorite Kinney’s man but you have to go and through me Sean I don’t have words to describe this man he was sweet he was kind and he was brave. He was so many things and Lindsey she too was a sweet girl given courage for Sean and herself to do anything they wanted like if it was their last day and it is amazing that you can find your soulmate an in unexpected way when you were not even looking for that other person to give you the courage to not be afraid to come out of your shell. Sean and Lindsey they were just perfect courage people to find and fight for that love and not be afraid to get what they wanted. This one was just perfection can’t get any better the what it was. I just fell in love with this Kinney’s boys.
4.5 Stars!
This is my FAVORITE Kinney Brothers book. Kelsey has done an amazing job weaving Sean’s story. It is one that is enduring, sweet yet kinda sad and has the right amount of sexy, in turn making me feel emotional involved with the characters. While I am not an insta-love kinda girl, this story was perfectly written in a way that made it work. This one was hard to put down.
Can’t wait to see what Kelsey has for us next…
What a sweet romance. Sean is such a lovable sweetie who is willing to put himself on the line for the love of one woman. Lindsey is running from love after her boyfriend cheated on her. Lindsey’s resistance to being with Sean annoyed me to no end. I understand that she has been hurt before, but every time she pushed Sean away, I became more and more frustrated with her. 3.5 out of 5 stars for Sean’s sweetness and Lindsey’s fears.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Last Chance to Fall was an amazing soul searching story. Sean couldn’t be more different from his brothers. His fear of failing or disappointing his family holds him back from making more of his life. Not to say he is unhappy in his current life – just missing something. Lindsay is the epitome of everything Sean needed and visa versa. Previous life experiences and circumstances had pushed Lindsay to have the “what if this is your last chance” mentality. How they grow as individuals and a couple made my heart melt. It made me want to live life the way they do. The love they felt for each other was scary and fabulous at the same time.
Each book I’ve read of Kelsey’s has sucked me in further to being a fan for life. I loved Patrick and then along came Ryan…. and then Sean. Kelsey has a way of writing characters that are real and so very lovable. Highly recommend this whole series – and especially this book.
A poem about home
The theme of this book is bravery. Living life boldly and bravely. What would you do if you weren’t afraid? What indeed?
When two people who live their lives in the smallest way possible meet cute, you’d think they would avoid eye contact and go their separate ways. But we’re talking about Sean Kinney here. Sean Kinney with two brothers who have what Sean wants. Love, and lives fully lived. So, Sean takes a big scary leap with the lovely Lindsey. But Lindsey may be even more scared of living than Sean is.
Seeing Lindsey and Sean tentatively tiptoe into love was the sweetest thing I’d ever read. If you like your Heroes sweet, sexy, sensitive, and poetic, you will adore Sean Kinney!
Sean and Lindsey meet over a burnt mattress and a cheating boyfriend. He takes her out to eat and they realize they have a lot in common. She leaving in a week to go home but wants to experience live and asked him to do hat with her. Can they be together? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended. Amazing Book
Lindsey only wanted to buy a mattress….but she ended up with so much more. After finding her boyfriend cheating, Lindsey sets fire to their mattress, purchasing a replacement she meets Sean when arriving to pick it up. Sean the “good” one of the Kinney boys is drawn to Lindsey immediately and finds himself on a whirl wind week long adventure to be “wild” with Lindsey. Little does he realize that she might just the best thing that ever happened to him and vice versa. As these two decide to the let go and live for the moment love blossoms. A wonderfully written love story for all, this is perhaps my favorite “Kinney Brothers” read so far. Kelsey Kingsley has done it again, everyone MUST read this one!
I knew from the first words Sean was going to be my favourite Kinney brother. He’s not the take charge, rugged alpha male we’re used to seeing in romance books, Sean is different.
Sean Kinney is not like any book boyfriend you’ve had before. Sean Kinney isn’t just in a league of his own, they had to invent a whole new league just for him. He’s not a tattooed bad boy who can’t stay out of trouble like his twin, Ryan (To Fall For Winter). He’s not a hot, slightly arrogant cop with sparkling eyes and a smile that’ll melt your undies like his older brother, Patrick (One Night To Fall). Sean Kinney turns the phrase “book boyfriend” on its head and completely breaks the mould!
I’m not going to tell you why though, because I want you to discover for yourself how different can be so good.
From ice cream and pancakes to Wolverine and Goat’s Beard, the journey we travel with Sean and Lindsey as they learn to stop being afraid and finally begin to live for themselves is truly beautiful.
Another wonderfully woven read from the talent that is Kelsey Kingsley.
After finishing Last Chance to Fall, I am at a loss. I have loved every story in the journey of the Kinney brother’s journey to love and Sean is no exception. I don’t know if Last Chance to Fall is the end for the Kinney brothers stories but it was a wonderful installment. We have gotten glimpses into Sean in the previous two books. He’s the quiet, careful brother of the family. I always wondered what was going on inside his head and in Last Chance to Fall we find out. It’s just another day for Sean at the department store when in walks a beautiful woman to pick up her mattress. Her name is Lindsey and she’s created a bit of a mess for herself. Sean prides himself for being a rule follower but for once in his life, he steps outside his carefully constructed world and does something out of character. It turns out that Lindsey and Sean have a lot in common. They have both been living very carefully constructed lives due to fears so they make a pact, one week living with no fears. Doing what they want without overthinking the end results. What I adored about this story was that it’s so relatable. Kelsey Kingsley weaves the reader into their hopes, fears, wants and ultimately their love. There’s not much more that I can say other than I loved this sweet story. It’s written completely from Sean’s POV other than the prologue which is from Lindsay’s POV. If you love a good small town, family romance, I cannot recommend Kelsey Kingsley’s Kinney brothers series enough. Each book stands alone but they are so much better if read in order because of the interconnecting characters.
I love all the Kinney Brothers by Kelsey Kingsley
Last Chance to Fall (Kinney Brothers Book 3) by Kelsey Kingsley is a sweet, contemporary romance. The entire story, except for the prologue, is told from Sean’s point of view as he meets and falls in love with Lindsey. Although it can be read as a standalone, I’m glad that I chose to read the other two books first, as it certainly enhanced the story. All three Kinney Brothers books are fantastic and I recommend reading them in order for the best experience.
Book 1: One Night to Fall, Patrick and Kinsley’s story, is a coming of age, slow burn, second chance romance with all the feels. Full of my favorite tropes, I fell in love with the characters, their story, and couldn’t stop reading. 5 Stars
Book 2: To Fall for Winter, Ryan and Snow’s story, is a heartfelt, romantic story about finding love, acceptance, and belonging. Although I enjoyed book one’s story better (like I said, my favorite tropes), I loved the characters in book two more. 4 Stars
Now back to book three… In Last Chance to Fall, Sean and Lindsey meet when she attempts to purchase a new mattress with her ex-boyfriend’s credit card after catching him cheating on her. They end up going out for a drink, immediately hitting it off as they discover they have a lot in common.
Both Sean and Lindsey have lived their lives ruled by fear – quiet, reserved, always playing it safe, being responsible and predictable, never taking chances, always doing what others expected of them. They make a pact to spend the week together stepping out of their comfort zones and truly living life for the first time. “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”
I loved every moment of Sean and Lindsey’s journey as they fell in love while challenging each other to face and overcome their fears. They truly brought the best out of each other. A beautiful, touching and thought-provoking love story.
“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”
* I voluntarily read an ARC and provided my honest review. *
Kelsey Kingsley is an artist and a poet whose writing is like a siren song to readers out there desperate for beautifully written, soulful stories. Her characters are unique, her author’s voice rings true, and the plot threads she weaves so masterfully create fictional worlds you wish you could visit. “Last Chance To Fall” is the best Kinney Brothers book yet, and Kingsley’s best work too. There is humour, passion, misery, heartache, and utterly ridiculous hotness. A must-read. Quite literally couldn’t put it down til I finished.
Y’all, Kelsey has done it again! I thought I loved (do the right thing) Patrick, and then there was (reckless, bad boy) Ryan, but seriously, (safe) Sean is just so normal… All I want is a Sean Kinney in my life to love on.
The way Kelsey writes makes her characters so relatable and my Seanie is no exception. The complete opposite of his twin brother Ryan, Sean might be the most relatable book boy I’ve ever read and fallen for, and you know I fell for him, HARD.
The premise of this book is that Sean and Lindsey live their lives for everyone except themselves. The decisions they make are safe and make other people happy, but life is too short and {this} might be your last chance to do {insert semi-normal activity here}, namely, to fall in love… It’s a wonderful story with great characters and a HEA that really makes you think about what you want out of life.
While all 3 Kinney books can absolutely be read as stand-alones, there are little details and character development from each story that build on the previous book so I highly recommend you read them in order (but, if you’re only going to read one of them, make it Sean’s story!)
Fear, Life, and Love!
The Last chance to Fall is a beautifully crafted love story. It is about two people whose lives are driven by fear. So much so, that they aren’t really living but simply existing.
Sean is the “consistent, reliable sibling” and he feeds into that description in order not to disappoint his family. He doesn’t take risks or make rash decisions. Until one fateful day when Lindsey strolls in to buy a mattress.
Lindsey is reeling from an unforeseen break up. She was content in her status quo relationship because it made her parents happy. In a freak turn of events she let’s her emotions guide her and they lead her to Sean.
These two characters have very different reasons for living the way that they do. Engulfed in fear, in the shadows, and never making waves. Their connection is based on chemistry and commonality. They make a pact to be brave. They ask each other “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” This is the catalyst they need to walk boldly into their lives. They try new things and explore the world around them without judgement. It is freeing and ultimately transformative.
The Last Chance to Fall is a funny, romantic, emotional read. Kelsey Kingsley builds a great world for these characters and they bloom. This book took me on a journey of hope, purpose, peace and love. There is no place quite like “home.”
We all need a Sean!
Sean has always been the responsible brother vs. his twin Ryan. He is quiet, thoughtful, sweet and romantic! Lindsey came into his life after finding her boyfriend cheating with his secretary on her bed. After throwing said bed out the window and lighting it on fire, she needs a new mattress. Both Sean and Linsey feel they need to live a little, spend less time worrying about others, and they agree to do that for one week.
I just wish this book had included a bit more about Lindsey’s family and I felt that the book was a bit rushed. All in all, I enjoyed this book and I look forward to more Kinney family books.
This is a story of two people living in the safe zone, but not really living or loving to their full potential. Sean and Lindsey are a sweet couple who decide to take a chance and step outside their comfort zone, and really live like it’s their last chance. I loved it!
My new favorite Kinney brother!
This is a wonderful addition to Kelsey Kingsley’s Kinney Brothers series! Sean is the third brother to get his own story in the series. He is pretty set in his ways and not looking to change or get out of his comfort zone. In a crazy encounter, he meets Lindsey, who has a very similar personality and outlook on life. From there, the story unfolds – a story of having courage, taking chances, and finding home. I again truly enjoyed Kelsey’s writing, and in this book, I especially enjoyed Sean’s memories of Ireland (Goats-beard was a wonderful touch!) I recommend this entire series and look forward to the next one!
