Fashion buyer Shea Walker had a fast track lifestyle until a car accident sidelines herto a painful recovery. Seeking quiet for the holidays, Shea returns to thesnowy mountains where she grew up to make peace with her past and spend timewith her estranged family. She never expected J.C. Royce–now a hockeystar–would return to their hometown, too. Determined to avoid that particularsexy mistake, … particular
sexy mistake, she’s caught off guard when her first night in town brings them
face to face.
Seeing Shea practically fall at his feet is gratifying, until J.C. realizes his proud
former friend, who he once thought would become a whole lot more, is truly
hurt–and in more ways than she lets on. Lucky for Shea, he’s got a big house
just sitting empty and a tree ready to decorate, as she is in no shape to stay
by herself. With his bad boy arrogance down to an art form after eight years in
the NHL, J.C. is more than a match for feisty Shea. Especially when it comes to
her outrageous claim that there was never any chemistry between them…
But when it comes to convincing her to stick around town until the New Year, he
just might need a Christmas miracle.

A wonderfully written story of not only second chance romance, but of friendship, self discovery and family. Don’t miss this one.
I like this story. It’s uncomplicated with good characters. The pace is good and flows easily. It’s also an easy and relaxing read. I have this in my re-read pile because it’s enjoyable.
A short and sweet second chance romance with all the joy of Christmas. Shae and J.C. have lots of chemistry and make a great couple when they finally get their act together.
When Shea heads back to Cloud Spin, Vermont (I have to admit the name of the town did annoy me for some reason!) for Christmas after an unexpected accident leaves her sidelined, she expects to find her parents at home celebrating Christmas. When she arrives, the house is dark and her parents are gone, leaving her face-to-face with her old high school flame, who is now a professional NHL player. Determined to take the advice of a podcast and right old wrongs, she figures she will have to start with J.C. since her parents are out of town.
The chemistry between Shea and J.C. is obvious from the first time they open their mouths, and the way J.C. still cares for her is obvious, even if Shea doesn’t want to admit it and get her heart broken by him, again. There was plenty of sexytime, fun times, family time, and time to reevaluate their lives as they rediscovered their old feelings.
Hockey, hot cocoa, hot men, and cold nights come together to make this the perfect Christmas read. It reminds us all that families fight, families disappoint each other, and sometimes things aren’t always what they seem to be. I read Last Chance Christmas in a few hours making it the perfect romance for a cold night, a blanket, a fire, and a cup of cocoa.
A great romantic read
Beautiful
This was nice to have two people who grew up together but ended up parting ways when he came to college and career. Shea’s dad couldn’t understand her job so she hadn’t been home in awhile. Now she was home after a accident and loss of job. J. C. Was home due to concussion. Can they find as a spark.
Could not get into it
I liked this book because of the location and the characters. I also like anything hockey, so there is that. Overall this was a nice, quick read. Almost too quick and I think that’s what made it just good. I think Shea’s decision at the end, although I think realistic, was a bit too quick.
I didn’t think it was well written at all.
Reminds me of a Hallmark movie
Love my Christmas stories
Holiday
This was a cute holiday story. What started as a pact between friends to heal past hurts leads Shea to go home to mend relationships. This was a short story that was good to get you in the mood for the holidays
This is a great cozy romance
quick read, good book!
Quick read. I e joyed it.
I really enjoyed this book! I loved the characters and the story. I don’t normally care for sports stories; but this one was very good.
The scene with her broken leg and ribs can’t happen. Been there done that. Romantic ‘Christmas box’ was perfect. More pee wee hockey with the sled kids to tie in the love of hockey.
Typical romance novel
I am going to read the entire series!
quick holiday read
