What happens when the life you expected is ripped away from you in an instant?I thought I had it all. A beautiful wife, a baby on the way, and a career any musician would kill for. Everything was perfect…until it wasn’t. I haven’t picked up my guitar since going home to Westlake. The nights are spent with a bottle in my hand, anything to keep the nightmares away. When I run into an old childhood … an old childhood friend, she promises to help me learn how to live again. I’m not sure I can go back to the man I was, but maybe I can become the man I want to be.
Is this my last chance at forever?

Sometimes life takes a turn that leaves you completely devestated and there’s no clear path anymore.
Adien wasn’t prepared to face the terrible loss of his wife and being left to raise their daughter alone.
The only thing he could do was to sale everything and move back home.
He even went to work for his father so now his days were filled with numbers.
Aiden knew his father meant well he just couldn’t perform on a stage anymore or even pick up his guitar.
When Zeus his dog gets really sick he takes him to the nearest vet only to find his old friend Lexie is now the doctor.
Slowly but surely they renew their friendship which has a more positive affect on him.
Lexie never spoke of the feelings she’d had for Aiden growing up and now that they’d been spending more time together she had to wondering if she was setting herself up for a huge fall or could they really be more?

The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is there will Aiden allow Lexi to help heal him from his tragic past and help him begin to heal. I loved how well the storyline was written and flowed. I am looking forward to reading the next book so I can have answers to my questions.

Last and Forever is the conclusion to First and Always Duet. I couldn’t wait to delve back in and see what was going to happen next with Aiden and his little girl. It was a good story, full of emotion, and finding love a second time. The characters Lexie and Aidan are likeable, and so good together. This duet will pull your heartstrings.
Loved this wonderful story about friends to lovers with Aiden and Lexie who went to school together then drifted apart. Years later he moves about as a widowed single dad where he runs into Lexie as she is the local vet where he takes his sick dog. Can Aiden move from his grief into a relationship with Lexie one that she has always wanted?
Aiden who is a shell of the man he used to be and is a now a single dad to his little daughter, and with no passion for his band anymore he moves back to his hometown to work for his dad. Lexi is the vet in town, and they used to be friends. Can Lexi convince Aiden to move on and live again? No spoilers: this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written tale which is an emotional roller coaster throughout which all leads to an all-consuming and heartfelt story. I was hooked throughout, and I recommend for all.
He lost his wife and child he let his career go. He doesn’t think that he will play or sing again. He becomes reacquainted with an old friend and feelings begin. Good read and romance.
