Suspenseful, hard to put down.
Great read
So many twists and turns. I couldn’t put it down. Had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next. Great characters.
If you like mysteries you will love this one
Read the entire series, but start at book one
Sorry I couldn’t get past foul language. Finally removed from device. Not a prude but foul words and I mean foul. totally unnecessary to story.
Very good read.
The irreverent attorney Jake Lassiter is always good for some legal amusement. I like the author’s occasional old-style crime novel writing; e.g.,, “As inconspicuous as a stone crab in your Wheaties,” and “darkened skyscapers, many as empty as a loan shark’s heart.” In this episode of the series, Lassiter defends a woman for murdering someone she …
Part of a series
Levine does it again! A riveting easy to read page turner. The author gets your interest and doesn’t let go until the last page. Great reading
Excellent for humor, twists and turns of plot, legal information, delightful characters
Great read….worth it.
Love the Lassiter series.
I liked it
Author is fairly humorous in the dialogues in the book. Would definitely read more from this author.
The character Jake is not much for a hero. He has the talent to write a fantastic book, but the characters aren’t very interesting and neither is Jake.
Since I’d seen good reviews of this series, I looked forward to trying it, but it just isn’t my style. I liked Lassiter’s attitude but not the characters and their lives. I stopped reading pretty quickly.
Good reading
Kept me guessing w/ all the twists
I love the Lassiter series, but this is not my favorite. It’s pretty raunchy, and some is necessary because of the story line, but a lot is unnecessary and degrades the good side of Jake Lassiter.
