The sole survivor of a train accident, young Larken Burke is dubbed the Miracle Orphan. Four years later, however, her life is far from fortunate. Because of her emotional and physical scars, she believes she’s un-marriageable. With little hope for the future, she agrees to wed a gentleman she’s never met. Unfortunately, his aloof manner proves difficult to take.
Marked by romantic tragedy and … tragedy and the loss of his brother, Brandon King has forsworn marriage. Obliged to take in a ward, he advertises for a mail-order bride to raise the boy. Since the union is to be a marriage in name only, his criteria are youthful age, a certain level of intellect, good breeding, and that the girl shouldn’t be so ill-favored she would embarrass him in society. To his dismay, he gets more than he’d bargained for.
Will it take a miracle for Mr. and Mrs. King to fall in love, or is their marriage another accident waiting to happen?

Not written very well. One day the H is forswearing love and romance and the next day he’s expressing his love. Also the little boy sounds more like 8-10 yrs. old, not 5.
A most interesting read.
Long build up to a climax that wasn’t there. It should say “clean and wholesome” – whatever that means – in big letters at the beginning.
I enjoyed reading this book, thought it was good.
It was good. One of those books you knew what was going to happen next.
I enjoyed it
I enjoyed this book
Sweet, clean story about an arranged marriage that turns to one of love.
I loved the first half of this book. Larken is a delightful character. However it is irritating when the author tries to put every character mentioned in the book in the last few chapters through unbelievable circumstances.
The book was very enjoyable, just very abrupt at times. Like, characters would jump from being cold and aloof, to being in love and then back again with no transition. Basically, the book is shorter than it should be, but still a fun read.
Liked it alot
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the story line. It was nice to read a romance that wasn’t sexually explicit. Just a nice read.
Fluff. If you want a happy ever after, this is it. Could have been a great story, but author introduced characters late in book that would be subsequent characters in sequels. I wish they had been introduced earlier, with more character development.
If you can overlook this, story, and sequels might be wort reading
Good book
Was a good book.
Boring.
Good clean read.
