Nathaniel Pierce ran away from home and the painful memories of his past. He’s recreated himself in Eureka Springs. No longer a veterinarian, he’s Nate the landscaper. When old Lilly Connor dies, the whole town turns to him to watch out for her granddaughter.Lilly Ramirez never knew she was named after her grandmother. In fact, she didn’t know she existed. She heads to Eureka Springs against her … against her mother’s wishes to learn about the hidden side of her family, and hopefully find direction for her life. The small town isn’t anything like she expected, it’s way better. The only downside is the sinfully hot man that feels the need to judge her for things that were out of her control.
He wants to forget, and she wants to be enough. Can they work out their issues to find love?

I loved this story. I really enjoyed seeing past characters, and the lovely town and its inhabitants. I loved how each of our mains was on a journey and how they helped each other figure out what to do and how to proceed for their futures. They pushed each other to be better (and to the breaking point!). These stories seem to have a lot of pain woven into them – just like real life.

A sweet story about friendship, family, second chances and true love. Nate came to Eureka Springs hiding from his past. Lily is looking for the deceased grand mother she never knew existed. They can’t fight the attraction but she is not staying and he can’t open his heart again. Will they have a chance at happiness and love? Great audiobook
I thought this book was very good from the beginning to the very end.
I thought the story line was fantastic from beginning to the end.
The characters were great and worked in the story in my mind.
This sweet, fun romance is a clean sizzler that is as much fun as the spicy food loved by the characters.
Nathaniel is supposed to help Lily #2 when she gets to town at the bequest of her estranged grandmother, Lily #1. This really rubs Nathaniel the wrong way, until he gets to know Liliana. Through her he learns that every story has multiple sides, and maybe the finger he has been pointing should have been aimed at himself the whole time.
This is a part of the Eureka In Love series by Ford and is a sweet and heartwarming read. Main characters Lilly and Nate are brought together in this small town by the death of Lilly’s grandmother. Lilly who unknowingly had said grandmother is devastated to learn of her death and the deception of her mother all these years. Lilly believes that family is everything. Nate meanwhile is running from his grief and found solace with Lilly’s grandmother until her death. A series of events brings these two together time and time again until they are forced to see the chemistry that sparks between them – but is the chemistry enough or will secrets and desires keep them from finding a HEA?!?
A beautifully well written, small town romance with great storyline and flow. It’s clean and sweet and sure to warm your heart!

This was so sweet and spicy! I have never read this author and I found the book very sweet and clean. The plot of the book is a lonely widower and a long-lost granddaughter come together. I loved it because she got the best of him a few times because he had preconceived notions about the young lady and he couldn’t have been more wrong. It is a worthy read for those who like a book with out all the steamy parts in there, most they did was kiss. I love small town life so this book hit a part of my heart.

The loss of her grandmother brought them together. Nate pushes everyone away with his pain and guilt over losing his wife an unborn son during an accident while they were practicing veterinary medicine. He ran from his family and his past and hides out working in landscaping in Eureka Springs, AK with dying Lilly Conner as one of his closest friends. He can’t believe she would leave her house to a granddaughter she’s never met. Lilly Ramirez is angry because her mother never told her about her grandmother until it was too late and told her that she wouldn’t speak to her if she went after this inheritance. Nate doesn’t treat her very well at first and takes out his anger on her. But Lilly is a pretty feisty Latina who likes to throw things. They can’t deny the attraction but there are a lot of misunderstandings to overcome.
Another Lovely Story
Another Lovely story by author River Ford. Like her last one I read, this story spoke to me on a personal level. Not for the estranged family (thankfully, we are all still speaking to one another), rather, because I am a landscape designer (temporarily retired to focus on kids), and I loved stepping back into that world a bit.
Oh! and the story is great! You will love Lilly and Nate!

I loved the story of this book. It was very unexpected and a lot of times I found myself laughing along with the book. It is a great read and I could easily relate to the characters and their struggles/issues/beliefs about family. A great story and I look forward to reading move books from River Ford.

Small southern town charm. Realistic. You need to know all the facts about someone before you judge them. Totally moves along and quick fun read.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I loved it! I loved the small town southern atmosphere, the struggles that the characters were going through, and the way they stood together as friends. It was an easy to read story that I didn’t want to put down!
