Shay Gable hated my guts, and I hated hers, too.We went out of our way to avoid one another at all times. When she came my direction, I went the other. When we locked eyes, she’d turn and walk away. All of that changed the day I was presented with a challenge. It started out as a stupid bet: make Shay fall in love with me before I fell in love with her first. That was an easy bet for me to win.I … easy bet for me to win.
I didn’t love, I hardly liked.
Yet slowly the game started to shift. Shay made me crave things I never knew I wanted.
Love.
Happiness.
Her.
The closer we grew, the more she challenged my darkness, and the parts I kept locked away.
The hurts.
The pains.
The truth.
The game between us became too real, our feelings intermixed, and the risks of hurting one another grew higher.
But you know what they say…
All’s fair in the game of love and war—especially the heartbreaks.

This is another beautifully written book from Ms Cherry. She has an undeniable talent of been able to write a story that not only sucks you in but also deals with some tough subjects in a thoughtful and thought provoking way. I adored Landon and Shay. I love an enemies to more story anyway but if you throw in some angst, I’m all over it. This was everything I was hoping it would be. I can’t wait for the second book in this duet.
Gah! I just finished and I‘m so lost right now, I don’t know where to start.
Eleanor & Grey was or still is one of my top favorites of the year and I was hoping for Landon and Shay to get their own story.
Obviously they did get their story and I wasn’t expecting THAT kind of story at all. I was expecting something light and fun, like a friends to enemies story mostly is.
But here’s the thing with BCC and the reason why I should have known better. She rips your heart out, breaks it. In the best way possible. Her story telling is an art with words she mastered over the years and also the reason why she became one of my favorites.
This book is a heavy book. The first part of their story is so beautiful and heartbreaking, so raw, and just so incredible good, it’s really hard to find the right words for it.
I seriously can not wait for the second part as my heart is desperate for their happy ever after just as much as my mind is.
5 amazing Stars and all the love for Landon and Shay. Definitely another top favorite book of the year, and thank you Brittainy for making it a duet. One book wouldn’t even be close to enough to tell their story.

Holy ANGST and FEELS!!! Landon and Shay is such an emotional and complex story.
As with every Brittainy C Cherry novel, this book will suck you in right from the start and won’t let go until the end. Although this one doesn’t even let you go then, because this is only the 1st book in Landon and Shay’s story. I know I can’t wait to see what she has in store for Landon and Shay in book 2.
I absolutely LOVED this book!! No one writes like Brittainy C. Cherry. Her stories are full of heart, emotion and thought provoking storylines. I find her writing to be effortless and truly one of a kind. This book does touch on a subject that is something that plagues many people in the real world. I loved how real this story felt. My only complaint was I thought it dragged in spots. I truly believe that this book could’ve been made into 1 book, but if the author feels there is more to their story, then I look forward to the next book.
Landon and Shay is the latest story from Brittainy C Cherry. It is NOT a standalone novel. This book does end with a To Be Continued ending. I wouldn’t say this was a cliffhanger like we normally see in duets. I thought this book ended at the right spot in their story. She leaves you feeling hopeful for both Landon and Shay. I only wonder if the next book will be set in the future…In this book Landon and Shay are high school students. I am wondering if they will be older in the next book??
This story is told in Dual POV. I thought the flow of the story was great, but as I said, I did think the pace was a little on the slower side for my taste.
This story truly is an emotional story, but what I loved so much about it, was that Brittainy balances out the heart wrenching emotion with just the right amount of humor, love and friendship. She knew exactly when to add the element of humor to lighten up the story so it didn’t feel like a downer the whole way through. I loved the friendships she forged in this story. These types of friendships are what I think every person strives for in life. People who will have your back no matter what!!!
In this book we follow Landon and Shay. They are sworn enemies and have hated each other for years. So when Shay over hears Landon making a bet about her, she decides she wants in on the action and a bet is formed. Both determined to win. Will these two enemies ever get over their hate for each other and form a bond neither would’ve expected?? What happens when demons and insecurities rise, can they get passed them or will they push each other away?? Read this story to find out the answers to these and more questions.
What I found interesting in this book was that it is actually set in a time that overlaps Brittainy’s other novel… Eleanor & Grey. We actually get to see these characters in this story but it is before they actually meet. I liked seeing this side of them and then knowing how it all works out for them after reading their story. No you don’t have to read Eleanor & Grey before reading this book, actually I would suggest if you read this book, you go back and Eleanor & Grey after. You will want to see how their story turns out.
I also loved getting to know Eric, Hank and Raine. These three have to be some of the best friends out there. I loved the support they showed both Landon and Shay. They were also a great source of comic relief when it needed it.
This is a MUST READ for all romance readers. Even if you don’t like cliffhangers, you will want to read this duet. You might just wait until both books are released. The characters were captivating and the storyline was emotional, heartbreaking and heartwarming all in one. I know this review doesn’t do this story the justice is deserves, but truly take my word for it….READ THIS BOOK!!!!
You don’t want to miss this AMAZING book!!!! Put this on the top of your TBR list NOW!!!!
I have no idea where to start with this review one thing is certain 5 stars is not enough. Landon is a character that grew on me slowly. I really wasn’t sure what to make of him at the start. The writing is outstanding it’s what keeps you going back for more even when it hurts. As the book progressed things become clearer. It’s true what they say hindsight is a wonderful thing. Broken characters you will want to hug and protect.
I can’t wait to see what’s next for Landon and Shay.

Wow! What an emotional rollercoaster!
This installment is great. Great character and storyline building. I dare anyone who reads this book not to absolutely fall in love with Landon and Shay.
And isn’t that the point of the whole story? Landon and Shay are sworn enemies. I don’t even think they know or realize how it all began, but everyone knows that the two do not get along. Their nicknames for each other say it all – Chicken and Satan.
Caught making a bet with the boys, the two enter an agreement to get the other to fall in love with them. Who ever falls first loses.
Brittainy’s true talent shines within this story. She is great at the meat of her characters. They are multi-dimensional and not flat. They have depth. Both Shay and Landon are more than meets the eye and the reader is gradually shown this through her prose and throughout the story.
Not a traditional cliffhanger, book two will be much anticipated if for nothing else than to be able to reconnect with these characters and to see where the storyline leads them.
5 stars
LANDON & SHAY was supposed to be a standalone, but the author surprised us by telling we would have a part 1 and 2. Part 1 is about them when they were 17/18 years old, and part 2 will be with them a little older. This characters came from the book ELEANOR & GREY and if you read this one, you know how funny they were together because of their situation of hate-to-lovers. So when Brittainy said she would write about them I expected a book more light and more fun, but that is not what I just read. This book has way more angst and drama and it caught my heart in a way I wasn’t prepared for. I wasn’t prepared to FEEL all of this emotions, and in a lot of parts of the story I felt like crying because of this two.
The way I saw Landon and Shay before is not the way I see them now. Like I said before, they looked like they didn’t have that much in life to worry about. But that actually was a lesson, that we see people from afar but we don’t know exactly what they are going through. The story is way more deeper and talks about something that teach us to be more kind and to care more about the others. I see them like they were my friends. I felt their hurt, especially Landon. He was this unique and beautiful boy and I really wanted to hold and hug him in a lot of times.
Brittainy didn’t write a book the way I think most of us thought she would . She caught a really broken hero and heroine and present us with something better: a perfect book. I don’t know what more to tell about this book I felt so much but can’t express with word how good it was. I just want REALLY really bad Part 2. I highly recomend it. LANDON & SHAY became one of my favorites book of this year.
Oh this book, it gave me all the feels oh my god! I loved it.
Landon is so closed off and he pushes people away with his angry stares and stance, except those who are close to him. He’s the bad boy, the popular guy but he’s hiding things deep inside him that nobody can see except those who take a moment to notice.
Shay is the good girl, the popular girl that everyone loves. She’s kind hearted, caring and a people person, she will do anything to help anyone. But there’s more to shay than just her good girl ways, she’s hiding things too, her life isn’t as perfect as everyone seems to think.
These two together with their hate-hate relationship is so damn fun to watch. I do love me some enemies and these two, oh wow.
Brittainy C Cherry has again managed to blow my mind with her incredible writing, from the very beginning I fell hard for both Characters. Landon and Shay are complete opposites and you know what they say, opposites attract. This beautiful enemies to lovers romance is one that’ll leave an impact on you. It’s deep and sad and it’ll make you feel exactly what each character is. There’s a sensitive subject inside this story that me personally think Brittainy managed to hit perfectly. It’s hard describing how one feels but she managed to do it justice.
I’m so so ready for book two of their story.
Landon & Shay is a beautiful story of heartbreak and pain. A new adult enemies to lovers romance that’ll etch into your heart forever.
Wow, this book was amazing! I’m giving it 5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
This was only the second book I’ve read by this author (Eleanor & Grey was the first), and once again, I was blown away by her writing. If you want some angst, if you want to get swept up in characters that feel alive, if you want to cry all the tears, pick this up. While I connected with Eleanor more than Shay, I saw myself in both girls, and both books made me feel so many things. I can’t stress enough how much I loved reading this.
I enjoyed diving into Shay and Landon’s heads and hearts, and also getting moments with some characters I remembered from Eleanor & Grey. One of my new favorites was Mima; I wish I had a grandmother like her. Watching this love story unfold was entertaining, and I thought it was very realistic. The ending wasn’t a cliffhanger, but it left me craving the next book nevertheless.
One thing to note was this featured some pretty heavy/dark topics (depression, drug dealing, substance/emotional abuse, self-harm, etc.), so if any of those will trigger you, it might be best to skip this. But if you can handle some feels, and your heart breaking during some profound moments, then pick this up ASAP. I promise you won’t regret it!
Landon & Shay Part One
By Brittany C Cherry
Phenomenal! Very deep down heartfelt! Held my interest from the cover page to the very end! Absolutely loved it!!
“If there was one constant in my life, it was my mother’s love. I never questioned it in any way, shape, or form, and I doubt Dad questioned it, either. She was the definition of ride or die —loyal through and through. She gave her love wholeheartedly, even at the expense of it draining her own soul.”
“I know life can get crazy, and we’ll all be busy with crap, but know that no matter what, the love is always there. We’re always here. Even if we are miles apart.”
I absolutely can not wait for Part 2!!
Very very highly recommend!
Brittainy C. Cherry has done it again! After Eleanor & Grey’s story earlier this year, I have been dying to get my hands on Landon and Shay’s story and part 1 fully lived up to my every expectation and more! This book is EVERYTHING. It has angst, drama, and all the FEELS!
Landon & Shay have known each other since elementary school and they each have misconcieved notions about the other. To the outside world Landon appears as the popular bad-boy with richs parents and Shay is the ultimate good girl, an excellent student, gets good grades ad beautiful on the inside and out. But a harmless bet between these two quickly turns into so much more and when they connect it is fierce, it is fire, and so much heart.
This book deals with some pretty heavy topics and my heart was in pieces trying to navigate through that. But the way Brittainy tackles it is with her usual style left me appreciative and feeling SO much.
The journey these characters experience is not easy, it is hard and it is painful but also so very beautiful. Their strength and growth is incredible. I am now counting the days until book #2 is available as I cannot wait to read the conclusion that I am certain will be EPIC.
Thank you to Socialbutterfly PR and Brittainy C. Cherry for generously providing me with an advancer reader copy, in exchange of an honest review. 5 stars is not enough!
From start to finish this story had me held captive, just like every other book that Brittainy C. Cherry writes. This author puts her heart and soul into every book that she writes. Like most of the books that Brittainy delivers they are so real, actions, feelings, and real circumstances. I feel her stories deeply!!
This enemies-to-lovers romance was absolutely beautiful with a broken hero, and an incredibly strong heroine that tackled some real and heavy topics. Their home life is much different but neither of them has it easy. Landon & Shay is a stunning story that I loved so much.
I love how this story takes places before and during Eleanor & Grey (which I loved). If you remember Eleanor and Shay are cousins and Landon and Greyson are best friends. I so enjoyed spending some time with Eleanor & Grey
I cannot wait for the second part of this story. This book was just perfect!!
Wow…. I just finished Landon and Shay….. my heart…. what a beautiful heartfelt book by Brittainy Cherry!!!
Landon…. what to say about Landon…. he was hard to love in the beginning but as you see the complexity of him…. he is an incredible young man.
Shay…. broken in her own way but loves with all her heart.
They hate each other for all the wrong reasons…. but get drawn together.
I love the honesty amongst the brokenness. It’s what people struggle with everyday and gloss over…. and why there is so much sadness and issues in the world.
I hope people read this duet and fell stronger to love and fight for the people in their lives….
I need part 2 now. I cannot wait to see the journey that Brittainy Cherry has for Landon and Shay.
Love and be honest with those in your life, put other first. Thank you for the reminder Brittainy!!!
I hate and love reading Brittainy C. Cherry’s novels… It’s like… going to the dentist. You know it’s gonna hurt atrociously to finally being relieved and feeling better. I always dread the moment she will stamp and slaughter my poor heart. The moment my eyes will be red and puffy, my nose runny, my breath difficult… So why do i read her books you’re gonna ask?!
Because she makes me feel. She makes me feel alive. She makes me fall in love. She makes me feel her character’s feelings. She always has the perfect words. And because she chooses subjects that are worth the ugly tears.
Landon and Shay: Part One…
At first i thought the author talked too much about the secondary characters. BUT… there is a reason. Life can’t be reduced to Love (between lovers). Family, friends, classmates, neighbors… people around us have an influence in our lives, sometimes THEY don’t even know how much, sometimes WE don’t even know how much. Sometimes we have surprises…
Landon and Shay are in highschool, they are pretty mature but have young adult issues, PLUS human issues.
Among other things, issues with other students and issues with their parents. You know the kind of parents who make their kids’ life difficult and when their kids have not a perfect behavior they blame others…
Landon is… lonely, so so so lonely. Alone with his pain. Alone with his demons. He feels empty, dead inside. He feels like he’s a monster. And he’s sooooo wrong!!!! He hates Shay, little miss perfect with her perfect life, always smiling… since their childhood.
Shay doesn’t live the perfect life, she’s just a good actress. She’s wonderful! Incredibly strong and brave and generous and selfless and human and smart and wise. Just amazing! She hates Landon, also called Satan, since their childhood.
A stupid bet will “force” them to spend time together. A perfect way for Landon to forget (a bit) his demons, and for Shay to tease him.
Spending time with Shay will become an addiction for Landon, and Shay will reveal herself to his contact. We witness the beginning of a beautiful love story.
Except… We know there will be a second book so no HEA here. Brittainy C. Cherry was kind enough not to give us a dramatic cliffangher but more a … pause.
Landon really touched my heart. I understood him in so many levels. Personal levels… So sometimes it was painful to read and i had to stop for a moment. The author has the right words, she perfectly describes his hero’s feelings. She chose a sensitive topic and even if i’m writing this review with red and puffy eyes i’d like to thank her.
Brittainy C. Cherry you are not only talented, you are also a beautiful person who understands perfectly people like Landon. And who gives hope. Hope that we can be loved for everything we are… even for our damaged or dark pieces.
Finally Landon is not that alone. He is loved, important for amazing people…
Shay is just… awe inspiring, i’d like to be like her!
I love her grandmother too! She’s like… a mix of Yoda, a fairy godmother, Mary Poppins, Aibileen Clark… She’s awesome!
Do yourself a favor: read this book!
Some of my fav quotes :
“When someone saw your pain and didn’t look away, it felt like a gift, like they were allowing you to be exactly who you were without shame and judgements.”
“She made my heart turn back on. Her kiss gave me life.”
“Whatever you are is good enough for us.”
Brittainy C Cherry gets me every.damn.time! This book was absolute perfection. It broke me, healed me and left me feeling all kinds of mixed emotions. I absolutely freaking loved it!
What made the story so beautiful to me, is how Cherry didn’t jazz up depression and anxiety, she showed the real harshness, the real battle of the mind and heart. It was a book that needed to be written, to highlight that everyone is broken in their own unique ways.
The book is about Landon, a beautifully broken soul, who is attempting to handle overcoming addiction and grief. He is only a teenager, battling the complexities of life, and despite his immaturity is having to handle a lot of adult issues. His parents are always away, and it has very much allowed him to be left to his own devices, which you learn has not always been good.
He is abusive to himself, and hides behind a mask of confidence and bravado. He instantly despises Shay for appearing happy and carefree, envying her life as he believes its perfect. But little does he know that he isn’t the only one hiding behind a facade.
Landon is a highly complex character, who was written in such a way that you just want to wrap him up, hold him and never let him go! He is loveable and needs to know he’s loved. He is relatable in some of his thought processes, and you want so badly for him to come out of everything on the other side.
Shay is a bit of goodness that shines her light on his life, she opens herself up in the hope that she can reach in and relate to Landon. She too is needing something, and they both find peace in one another’s company.
The book is well thought out with a unique plot, and I have not read a book like it. This book hit hard on the emotion level, and brought literal tears with it.
Thank you Cherry for your words, for the power that they hold and the meanings behind them. This book is a gem and showed the layers of love that you could only wish to find, and gave me all the feels. Absolute perfection!
I haven’t felt butterflies in my tummy in a long while now until reading Landon & Shay has.
My time was 100% devoted to this book from beginning to end. I can’t express to you enough times how much this was such a beautiful story. You get these two young kids who have nothing but hatred towards each other that eventually turns into the opposite of hate, which is love. I loved the games they played, it made it that much more fun to read.
Landon was a broken soul who didn’t show his emotions nor did he expressed his true self but Shay was always able to read him and at first that bothered Landon but after a while he seemed to like the fact that Shay was the only person that knew what was going on in his head and heart. Shay was the only one who actually told Landon what she was seeing in him.
With the heavy topics that involved in this story it made it feel that much more real and at times I felt like I was actually living through these characters. These topics are no joke and just the way Ms. Cherry wrote about it was flawless and effortless. I commend her for writing such a book with these topics and just how wonderful this story has unraveled.
Totally a page turner that will have your heart in your hands. I can’t wait to find out the conclusion to this AMAZING love/hate story.
Well, we thought we knew Landon and Shay after meeting them in Eleanor & Grey, but honestly we did not really know anything. This book focuses only on their past in high school.
Landon Harrison comes off like an uncaring bad boy, but the facade hides deep hurts and dark thoughts. His past has scarred him and he is drowning in the darkness. He acts up for attention that he is missing at home. And thankfully he has a core group of friends that stand beside him, although there are other toxic influences that want to keep him down.
Shay Gable is his nemesis. They have a hate-on for each other and have since elementary school. She is smart, beautiful, friendly, and inclusive. She seems to be little Miss Perfect and loved by all. But she has her own problems that she keeps to herself.
They both can see the other and think the other is fake. They push, taunt, and annoy the other. And one day they make an unexpected bet to see who can make the other fall in love with them first.
But the more time they spend together trying to get one over on the other, the more real things get. And as their vulnerabilities begin to show and their pain is more understood, the dynamics begin changing. But what is real and what is fake? And how can a damaged boy like Landon even consider himself good enough for someone as bright as Shay?
This book is not always easy to read due to the subject matter. It is raw, real, sad, emotional, and at times overwhelming for the characters. My heart totally broke for Landon. I could feel his moods, self-hate, and guilt. And he had so many people making him feel unworthy and reinforcing his self-doubt. And Shay was sensitive and optimistic, but was being pulled into more negative situations. It is complicated, messy, angsty, and dramatic enemies-to-young lovers story. Together they had the potential to be really amazing or really damaging. And this was just in high school.
It started out a little slow and I found myself longing to get out of the high school years and get back to the present. I need to see where they go from here. I cannot wait to see more about them now since we got a taste of them in the present in Eleanor & Grey. I even found myself going back and refreshing my mind on where they ended up in that book. I really need these two to find their happily-ever-after.
Brittainy C.Cherry does not hold back at all while delivering heartbreak and angst. And I am slowly absorbing and processing all the heavy, deep and intense feelings after reading Landon and Shay Part I. This story made me feel like I am having this satisfying and suffocating weight in my heart all the time. And I found myself constantly trying to stop all kinds of tears . Happy. Angry. Sad. Relating. Empathic.
Landon and Shay has been the enemies since forever. Shay’s grandmother worked as Landon’s housekeeper. They attend the same school. Years have passed and both of them have scars of tragedies. But they hate each other. Shay thinks Landon is arrogant, egomaniac, cruel and a complete jerk. And Landon hates Shay is too perfect and too good to every one and too happy. What will happen when they will find their jagged broken edges and darkness?
Brittainy C.Cherry goes deep inside the head and heart of all her characters. And she will give you the bumpy, intensea and heartbreaking ride through their psyche. Landon is fighting a lot of demons including his own dark and almost dead soul. And the author made me feel all the pain. I cannot imagine a person carrying so much weight, numbness, self loathing, guilt, anger and self deprecation inside without any outlet. No wonder he is broken and helpless. Depression is a mighty monster. And beautiful, loving and forgiving Shay may be just the weapon he needs. This girl is so special. She has own heartache and sufferings. And Landon is not an easy person to love. But she was all in and gave every single drop of support, love and protection she could. Even if her heart was slowly getting destroyed. Their bond is really unique. They hold up each other. They complete each other. They are going through heaven and hell. And this journey just became hundred times more difficult at the end. I cannot wait to see what comes next. It ended with hope of new beginning.
A truly great and inspiring story is always difficult. Landon and Shay Part One by Brittainy C. Cherry slayed me with the epic emotions, spellbinding storytelling and unforgettable characters. So what if I wanted to throw my kindle and cried like a baby? It was worthy of every single tear and smile and star.
Received ARC for Honest review
Remember those days when you had an arch nemesis in high school? For Landon and Shay – the perils of being a teenager has led their lives to cross on many occasions. The two couldn’t be more opposite if they tried, and the dislike that Landon feels for Shay is pretty obvious. Shay is a friend to everyone in any social class. It’s one of the things that Landon dislikes so much.
When the two find themselves at the center of ‘guy talk’ at a party, Shay and Landon decide to embark upon a bet that will alter the course of their ‘enemy’ status. Who would have imagined a bet of this magnitude? Two enemies determined to get the other to fall in love with them. What could be hard about that?
As Landon and Shay start to spend time with one another, they quickly realize that all individuals are hiding their hardships from the public eye. For Landon – his uncle’s death opened a door to his soul that slowly was leaking darkness into the light. As Shay uncovers more of that hardened exterior that surrounds Landon’s heart, she discovers that their lives are connected in more ways than either could have imagined. An unraveling of Shay’s life will ultimately lead the two down a road of discovery and ultimately love. With the bet hanging over their heads, where will the road lead from the heartache?
Landon & Shay is the latest release from author Brittainy C. Cherry. It is the first part of a duet that will continue with the release of the second book. This coming of age story will pull you into a discovery of young love, overcoming differences, and having the strength to defeat the odds. I loved everything about this young couple and their journey to finding love. It was realistic and full of emotion. The heart wants what the heart wants, and that sentiment is carried throughout the journey that Landon & Shay travel. A genuinely beautiful journey for broken souls.
Le sigh, but how I fell for Landon and Shay and their story. This takes place in 2003 when they were both going to the same high school–Landon being a senior, and Shay a junior–but while these two may be teenagers, they face struggles that could bring those much older than them to their knees. Brittainy C. Cherry has penned a story that doesn’t make you pity either of the main characters, but it does make you empathize with them and admire the courage that they cultivate within themselves once they’re in each other’s lives. Landon’s struggles with his depression in particular are noteworthy, and Cherry doesn’t sugarcoat when she describes the darkness that lingers within him. While Shay has a sunnier personality, she has her own issues that are quietly eating at her, too.
With this being a spin-off of Eleanor & Grey–Eleanor Gable is Shay’s cousin and Greyson East is Landon’s best friend–I loved getting glimpses of those two previous main characters. Having said that, however, let me reiterate that Landon and Shay’s story stands alone and does so impeccably well, which surprisingly enough, isn’t an easy feat. Landon & Shay: Part One ends with somewhat of a cliffhanger, and while my heart ached over the the necessary choices that both main characters had to make, there’s an inkling of hope because of the author’s emphasis on healing. I so adored this book, and it’s a five-plus-starred must-read! Part two releases on December 4th, so that’s a bit of a wait, but I wouldn’t be a tad surprised if–when!–Brittainy Cherry makes it worth our while.
In Landon & Shay: Part One Brittainy C. Cherry shows her leads being confronted with harsh actions and struggles even as she gentled their depictions by uncovering their weaknesses and turning them into undiscovered strengths.
Brittany Cherry exposed the bare bones raw loneliness of her hero Landon to such an extent that the magnitude of it was both heartbreaking and frightening in its depth. The profound sadness Landon lived with was intensified by the isolation of his living alone and his self imposed walls, creating a love deprived world that few made an effort to breach. Her heroine Shay was a character who personified goodness, yet made no effort to hide her shortcomings. Her strength spurred her determination and drive but it was her vulnerability that made her love attainable. Over and over Landon and Shay proved you can say I love you from a distance and it can often not have as much love as saying I hate you up close. This couple’s finding love by exposing their true selves allowed them to reconcile their worthiness in their discovery and made their story a memorable one.
The thing about emotional writers is knowing how to deliver just the right amount of feelings without losing their impact and this author did so expertly in Landon & Shay: Part One. Brittainy C. Cherry is an incredibly emotional writer, every written word of hers underscored a feeling that translated beautifully and made it virtually impossible not to be touched by her story. Her portrayals were well put together only to be broken down and examined to pull reactions from her audience deftly and insightfully. Readers will not be able to walk away Brittainy C. Cherry’s Landon & Shay: Part One without experiencing the highs and lows of life unfiltered for an amazing read!
