Everyone knows about the immaculate conception and the crucifixion. But what happened to Jesus between the manger and the Sermon on the Mount? In this hilarious and bold novel, the acclaimed Christopher Moore shares the greatest story never told: the life of Christ as seen by his boyhood pal, Biff.
Just what was Jesus doing during the many years that have gone unrecorded in the Bible? Biff was … unrecorded in the Bible? Biff was there at his side, and now after two thousand years, he shares those good, bad, ugly, and miraculous times. Screamingly funny, audaciously fresh, Lamb rivals the best of Tom Robbins and Carl Hiaasen, and is sure to please this gifted writer’s fans and win him legions more.

I am 2/3 through this book and I am surprised at how really good it is. I was thinking it might be a little humorous and that would be all, but no. I am enjoying every chapter and can’t wait for my next lunch hour so that I can continue this wonderful almost real history of Christ’s bff Biff! I love this book.
Only Christopher Moore could pull this off.
Great story, well researched.
The ending I found very interesting. Made me wonder if Jesus really had any brothers or sisters.
What a unique view of a time we no so very little about.
Yes, it’s fiction, but it makes you think. And it entertains while doing it.
EXCELLENT read.
I love this book.
I appreciate the humor and different perspective. But the story devolved into silly and raunchy. I didn’t finish it.
This was one of my favorite reads! Gave me lots of joy and a whole different perspective on Christ!
Great concept (filling in Jesus life from age 8 to 30) and very witty story telling from a writer who clearly knows his Bible stories.
I’ve read this more than once , and I keep it on my bookshelf to read again. But I will love this book forever because it turned my son into a reader.
Loved this book! Have recommended it to all my friends. I LMAO!
This book was funny. Great characters, semi-predictable but warped. Loved it.l
What an unconventional, irreverent (but not too irreverent) idea! I had read and loved his book, The Dirtiest Job and Lamb met, no, exceeded my expectations. His characters are amazing and quirky yet there’s a kernel of believability no matter how outrageous.
Excellent book! I love it!!
As a Christian, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this book. Even after reading it, I’m not sure how other Christians will feel about it. First, it was FUNNY; I think God wants us to have a hearty belly laugh once in awhile. Could Jesus’ missing years have been spent as Biff describes? Doubtful but why not? The author’s Jesus remains true …
I loved this book. Loved the light hearted ness. Will definitely read again. As long as you keep in mind it is just fiction, you will enjoy it.
One of my all-time favorite books. Have read it 3 times so far.
a comic take on Jesus’ first 30 years.
easily one of my favorites, the witty jokes make it a real page turner
Made me laugh out loud throughout
