Everyone knows about the immaculate conception and the crucifixion. But what happened to Jesus between the manger and the Sermon on the Mount? In this hilarious and bold novel, the acclaimed Christopher Moore shares the greatest story never told: the life of Christ as seen by his boyhood pal, Biff.
Just what was Jesus doing during the many years that have gone unrecorded in the Bible? Biff was … unrecorded in the Bible? Biff was there at his side, and now after two thousand years, he shares those good, bad, ugly, and miraculous times. Screamingly funny, audaciously fresh, Lamb rivals the best of Tom Robbins and Carl Hiaasen, and is sure to please this gifted writer’s fans and win him legions more.

Absolutely loved it!
Most hilarious book I have ever read !
One of my favorite books EVER!
THE all-time funniest book I’ve ever read. It’s so laugh-out-loud funny that you’ll piss off the people sitting next to you while you read it because you won’t be able to help laughing out loud like a donkey!
At first I thought this might be sacrilegious… and maybe it is a bit, but it doesn’t go too far and it was a fun read and to be able to think of Jesus with a best friend just made Him seem more personal to me.
Lamb is Moore’s best work. It’s funny, warped, and unlike anything I’ve read. Be warned, though; the context and some of the action might offend people of a conservative, Christian background. But if you read it with an open mind, it can be inspirational.
Bitingly witty and irreverent. What’s not to like?
A satire about the early years of Christ. Definitely not for the faint of heart or the stanchly religious as it portrays the young Christ in some not so flattering or Christian behavior. But for those that don’t get bent out of shape, it is an interesting read. Amazingly the heart of the Gospel messages manages to break through the heresy and …
Irreverent, but hysterical. This is the story of Jesus’ first 30 years. He is written as very human and not a saint. If you can read this with an open mind and just enjoy the story, it will be a winner. This was the book that started me off on reading all of Christopher Moore’s books.
I thought this book was great. It was entertaining and well researched. I was out of town for a training while reading it and opened the hotel provided Bible to compare a few things that were going on in the story. Moore has this great ability to suck you into what you’re reading that you want to believe that this really was a missing gospel and …
What a fun read! I laughed my way through it
Irreverent and fun, definitely makes you think.
One of the funniest titles ever, and the book lives up to it.
I love all of Christopher Moore’s books but this is the best of the best.
Quite possibly the funniest book ever written.
This book was hilarious and kept me engaged the entire time. The characters were relatable and likable.
Hilarious!! Fun read 🙂
Only read this book because I have read Christopher Moore since his first book. I had the honor of meeting him at a book signing in Ft Lauderdale and really did enjoy the earlier books. However, it took me a long time to pick this one up. I really really had to suspend my belief (in more ways than one) to read this account of Jesus as a kid. I …
One of the funniest and irreverent books I have read, you will enjoy it.
If you enjoy Douglas Adams you will love this book.
