The minute this beauty hit my kindle I was reading and didn’t stop until the end.
I didn’t think my heart could swoon any further from the uncompromising romance of Lake and Manning.
Boy was I wrong!
Lake and Manning are back to fulfill promises and make new commitments.
But can they be fulfilled?
Is love alone enough?
All the other characters from the previous books make an appearance to announce what they’re up to and gear up to settle old issues with Lake and Manning.
The brilliance of this read is the heightened emotions as an ordinary couple go through extraordinary circumstances.
Get the tissues ready, and prepare yourself for the heartfelt angst, the passion and the sentimental journey of Lake and Manning.
There so much more to this complex couple and their coupling.
Emotional intense and heartfelt. These characters continue to grow and develop and honestly I can read about them forever!
This is book 4 and it cannot be read as a standalone!
Lake + Manning is the final installment in this new adult romance. This fourth book was the complete closure to their happily ever after. With a few more obstacles to overcome the excitement continues with blossoming love.
Lake showed tremendous growth and took on adult responsibilities. Lake has matured as well as the minor characters introduced in prior books.
Manning embraced family and learned to respect and cherish family. Having no family of his own Manning made it his mission to settle the score with her family.
Jessica proved these characters had the true meaning of a partnership. They were a united team who had each other’s back. They had the solid foundation needed to confront past mistakes in order to face the future they waited for.
I was in favor of the way Jessica executed Lake and Manning’s story with seasonal sections highlighting the important milestones.
A LOVE STORY THAT STANDS THE TEST OF TIME AND WILL LIVE IN MY HEART FOREVER!
If I could pick ONE series for you guys to read, it would be The Something in the Way Series by Jessica Hawkins. I can’t tell you what an epic journey she has taken me and MANY, MANY readers and friends on. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. EVER. The countless messages back and forth, the spoiler groups, the amazing posts in the Penthouse. Oh yeah, and the emotions this author put her readers through with this series is like…
I can’t tell you how amazing this story was. I pulled an all nighter reading it, I couldn’t stop, and I never ever want to say good bye to these characters. Lake + Manning is one of the most beautiful, emotional, and sexiest endings to a series I have ever read. I couldn’t be HAPPIER with this gift she’s given us. I’ve been invested in their lives, it’s like they are a part of my family, a part of my heart I’m so sad it’s over, I really don’t know what to do with myself now. I’ll miss them so much, I know they’ll not only live on in my heart forever, but in the hearts of many, many readers all across the world.
Thank you so much Jessica for giving us such a beautiful, epic, and UNFORGETTABLE love story.
Wow love this series. Great story and writing. This book made me cry and I didn’t want to stop reading it. Love lake and Manning. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is what the HEA looks like after Lake and Manning moved the stars to finally be together! I wasn’t sure Ms. Hawkins could add more to their story and do them justice without minimizing the significance of their hard fought union or their connection and spark. Oh why did I question where she would take me, because I have learned that Ms. Hawkins never disappoints! I absolutely loved the direction she took us! It was so compelling, passionate, emotional, and honest. It made me love Lake & Manning even more for their strength, love and devotion. They support one another, challenge each other and have fun together. Their passion and chemistry only gets more explosive. This story was about life and the twists and turns it throws at you but can rise above together. The epilogue was everything I wanted for these star crossed lovers and more! This is truly a spectacular ending to an epic love story!
I’ve been in love with Lake and Manning’s story since the very first book, and this one added an whole new dimension to their love story. I loved how the story evolved. How Lake and Manning grew as a couple and on their own. The sub-characters were fantastic, and I loved seeing what happened in their lives.
This book had me in tears so many times. There were so many real feelings, so many things that hit me right in the heart, pulling me in and making me fall deeper in love with the way things played out.
The end of this story couldn’t be more perfect. It was more than I could have ever hoped for, and all that it should have been.
5 PHENOMENAL STARS!! Lake and Manning’s journey through this series, has been tough and beautiful with all the feels and believe me you feel every emotion. This book was the icing on the cake to their epic love story. Jessica Hawkins has put heart into these wonderful characters and we as readers will remember them for the rest of our lives. This is the series of a lifetime, so do yourself a favor and read it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy.
It’s taken me a full day to sort out my feelings about L+M. At the end of Move the Stars, I was absolutely content with the way it ended, at the end of Lake + Manning I feel deliriously happy, and if I’m being completely honest, sad that it’s over.
This book brought everything full circle for me. The love, heartbreak, forgiveness and the hope of forever was all there, just as it was in previous books. Hawkins took a wonderful storyline and made it whole in a way that only she can do. She aligned the Stars and gave them the ending they deserved.
I’m not ready to let these characters go just yet, a great story will do that. It takes you through a broad range of emotions and leaves a lasting impression. It was emotional and passionate and I truly wish I could experience everything about this journey all over again.
This book was the perfect way to end this series.
After Move the Stars ended, I really felt myself yearning to find out what happened after Lake & Manning’s reconciliation. This story was a unique view of what happens after the Happily Ever After that we don’t normally don’t get to see. The way the struggles of real life can catch up with you and how difficult it can be to navigate relationships with difficult family dynamics.
Lake & Manning’s love story is EPIC and will go down forever as one of my most favorite series of books. In this book more than the others, I thought you could feel the love and devotion that Manning has for Lake. It dripped right off the pages. I’m not ashamed to say that I laughed and cried while reading this book but very happy with the way it all wrapped up.
I was so excited when I heard that Jessica was writing more of Lake and Manning. Their story is one that will stick with me for a long time. I loved that in this book, you got more insight as to how they are doing and growing as a couple. I am sad that their story is finally over but I’m hoping that maybe someday Jessica will write a book for Corbin!!
Five Summer Triangle Stars !
If I could give this book all the stars in the universe I would!
I really don’t know where to begin with my review.
I was one reader who was satisfied with the ending of Move the Stars, but also sad that there were going to be no more words to read about Lake and Manning.
When it was announced that there would be a fourth book I was over the moon happy. And I started to develop expectations. Expectations of Manning, of Lake, and of their life together.
I was not disappointed. All of my expectations were met, and then some. This book had everything. I laughed, I cried both happy and sad tears, and I was heartbroken at times. Nothing less than what I expect from Jessica Hawkins.
And I also had the opportunity to get reacquainted with the Manning I fell in love with in Something in the Way. Manning made me fall in love all over again in this book. I didn’t realize how much I missed him and needed this version of Manning until I had him again.
Fans of this series will absolutely love Lake + Manning. Once again Jessica has poured her heart and soul into this couple and we as readers are rewarded for it.
** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy generously provided by the author.
Sigh, more Lake and Manning? Yes, please!!! This book was perfect!! It is everything you could want and then some. Just read it, that is all I am going to say about that.
have loved these two characters from the beginning. This is such a beautiful loving emotional ride Jessica takes us on.
We pick.up where we left off, and take part in Lake + Manning’s life. Through their ups and downs. We find out what life has in-store for these two. Will there be something in the way again??? Will this be their happily ever after or is this someone else’s. Maybe the past too much to move on from, or can you really move the stars for what you love.
I loved finding out how everyone else is doing. Who’s moved on, who’s come together. It’s great to get back intouch with the supporting characters. How has life changed everyone and can they all get along now???
This is an amazing final installment to an incredible series, one I will not forget any time soon.
Thank you Jessica for Bear and Birdy.
She saved the best for last in my opinion. I can’t even begin to express what this entire series has put me through. The ups the downs. The tearing apart of my heart. The tears and anger. She hit them all. This is a series that CAN NOT just be read. It must be EXPERIENCED!!!
