Is three days enough time to fall in love? Probably not. Simone Stevens is on the beach for one reason. A tan. The super sweet New Yorker is there to relax not look for a man, even if her mom disagrees. Tall, tan, and handsome, Trey Good has a life in San Francisco as CEO of a gaming company. He doesn’t have time for fun and games…. but this is his only vacation after all. But what will happen … all.
But what will happen once vacation is over? When Simone’s life changes dramatically and Trey loses his island charm can these two forge out a new path for a life together?
Maybe not.

Lag was a wonderful book full of emotions. Your emotions will run the gamut of emotions. Lag will keep you guessing and ends with the promised HEA. Well, there is a cliff hanger as Lag is the second book in the Boys of RDA. It can be read as a stand alone but would be better if you read the first book before this one so you get the references to the first book (or for those who did read the first book then the references from Finn’s and Aspen’s love story. Lag was engrossing enough that I didn’t want to put the book down and read it within a day. Highly recommended. Enjoy reading Lag, I don’t think you will regret it if you do. Enjoy!!
I am not sure just what it was about this book that could not keep me interested. The characters all felt a little bit flat and uninteresting. There were points where it was cute but it ended up coming across as rather lackluster in general which really surprised me since I love the Pelican Bay Security series so much. I will not give up on the series though and intend to continue reading it in the hope that this was just a one-time instance for Ms. Matthews and that the future books will improve.

Simone and Trey begin to fall in love on vacation, but since they live across the country from each other they don’t pursue the attraction. When Simone is sent by her company to work in San Francisco, the lag in their relationship ends. Will they be able to have a happily-ever-after?
I laughed and was near tears when reading this book. I can’t wait to read the next in the series!

This is the story of Simone and Trey. They meet while on vacation and have a fling and go back to their lives. When Simone gets a promotion and moves to San Francisco, these two meet again. Will they pick up where they left off? I enjoyed this fun, flirty romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve read several books written by Megan Matthews; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

Trey and Simone have amazing chemistry and I enjoyed the story. It keeps you on your toes and intrigued. There is some suspense but the chemistry and passion is undeniable. I found myself unable to put this down.
This is the second book in the Boys of RDA and Simone and Trey’s story. A handsome nerdy and strong woman that you can’t help but to be on the edge of your seat hoping they find the HEA. This is a book that gets better and better with each turn of the page.

This is a new author and series for me and I found the book to be engaging and very interesting and it held my attention the end. Great story line with well defined characters and personalities and lots of gaming references, as I am not a gamer I appreciated that the author elaborated on some of the terms in the book like “lag”. I have not read any of the prior books but I did not feel like I was missing out at all. When Simone and Trey meet for a second time at a work function, Trey is a completely horrible person and while both grow as individuals as well as a couple, Trey definitely developed the most and was actually easy to like, and enjoy the budding romance.
The supporting characters and relationships between them were realistic and well done and elevated and supported the plot and overall feel of the book. I loved the women in the book, each had a quirky, fun, warm and lovable personality.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Book two in the Boys of RDA series is about Trey and Simone. They live on opposite sides of the country but paradise brings them together. At the end of their time together, they just thought they were done with each other. Megan at times wishes they were done. They will have to work thru some obstacles to stay together. I thought the writing by Megan was well done one again. I personally did not think highly of Trey but the story was good.

Love This Book
I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters bringing life and likability to every person.
The writing draws you in and keeps you interested until the end.
I was very impressed with how simply and effortlessly this author told this addicting, multi-layered story with well-developed world building and great characters.

Another book in the boys of RDA series. I loved this book, the instant connection between Simone and Trey was there from they first met when on holidays. What was meant to be a holiday fling turned into more when Simone got a promotion and moved cities and by fate met Trey again. Things didn’t run smoothly for them, especially when the crazy Mari finds out about them. A book full of love, romance, suspense, sadness and laughter. Definitely worth a Read! Can’t wait for the next one!

Megan Matthews did a good job on Lag, the plot was strong, the story was written well. Simone and Trey were made for each other, they may have had a few bumps along the way but they were good together, their connection and chemistry was strong. They were made for each other.
I enjoyed this story. Thanks, Megan Matthews. Good work 🙂

Simone and Trey meet at an island resort. He is alone and she is with her family. After a few days, he goes to San Francisco and she goes back to New York. Immediately she is transferred to the San Francisco office due to some major problems. They see each other at a gala and he starts to get possessive. Their romance get stronger and then his fake ex, Mari, shows up at a reception and Simone leaves broken hearted. On the way home, she gets a call her mom is dying of cancer. The characters are terrific with depth from backstories and intense emotions. The suspense regarding the EX, from trash talk and threatening comments to actually putting filth in the local paper, as well as the trust issue between Simone and Trey, keep the story on edge. The ending is definitely worth the read.

This is book two in The Boys of RDA series. This is Trey Good ‘s story. This character comes with layers and we get to know him alot better in this book. Simone is at the beach for tan, not a man. Trey is at the beach for his only vacation. The two hit it off and agree to keep each other company for the remaining of their trip. Of course the trip comes to an end but does their fling? I enjoyed reading thus story and getting to know more of Trey. He was a character that I could give or take from book one but it was a pleasure to read his HEA.story. I look forward to more stories in this series. Enjoy!

This is book two in The Boy’s of RDA Series and it is Simone and Trey’s story and even though it is part of a series of can still be read as a standalone book. Simone needs a vacation badly as she is a financial adviser and things are not going as planned. Trey is the CEO of a gaming company and needs a vacation and he ends up meeting Simone, will this just be a holiday fling where they go there separate ways at the end of is it more that they need to explore. Trey and Simone were so well suited and you could feel there chemistry sizzling of the pages of the book. Wow I love this book so much and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next. I definitely recommend you read this book as it was so well written and definitely worth reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an Arc copy of this book.
*a few spoilers*
I’m not sure where to start. The beginning of this story starts off great and then died immediately after a death in the family. Trey and Simone have a little chemistry, nothing about their actions or reactions made it seem like they were really into each other. They meet by accident and go their separate ways without so much as a kiss. Now, back to the death in the family, it through me off completely. For me, it could’ve made an entrance on a different book, not a charming love story. Especially, when the handsome rich guy has no clue what’s going on. It just didn’t match the story. ALSO, when Trey and Simone finally do the deed, it’s no sparks, nada, nothing!! Although, the writing is good, it was too long. I was skimming a lot towards the end.
I really don’t know how this has 4 stars let alone 5.
