Very captivating and enjoyable story.
Reading This Love Story Was Exhilarating And Tense A terrific story starts out pretty rough for Storm the highlander along with an English lass named Wren. Both were so confused and both had emotionally damaged souls. There is so much going on in this story that it is hard to clearly tell you except it is just an power house of a read from the start to the end.Fascinating characters, wonderful love story, fun and wonderful animals, laugh out loud humor and strong magnetism between our H and h.Sensual love scene made me feel young again. Many shocking moments and confessions that had me gasping at times.I highly recommend this series. I have read books 1 and 2 which I gave 5 stars to each and I’m looking forward to the next book Lord Of Illusion
Really enjoyed it
Awesome read. Wren and her infant son are being taken to King David with the intention of giving the king his bastard son for a reward. She and her English entourage come upon a small cottage and plan to kill its inhabitants so they will have a place to stay for the night. There is a older woman and newborn boy inside the cottage, but hiding and preparing to attack is Chieftain Ian McKeefe and his son Storm McKeefe, along with numerous other Scottish warriors. During the melee, Storm instructs his loyal deerhound to kill the Englishman who is holding the older woman hostage, but the dog accidentally kills the woman. Meanwhile, the English have set fire to the cottage, trapping her infant inside. During the grey, Wren is knocked to the ground and hits her head, causing her baby to fly from her arms. When she comes to, she cries out for her baby, and her Zara, her old gypsy companion, brings the babe to her. Wren is able to escape the battle, her English handlers, but brings many of Her precious animal friends with her. Unfortunately, the blow to her head causes her to lose her sight.
Ten years have passed, and now there is a reward for the capture of an outlaw band called the Renegades. Storm has been disowned by his own father, and he travels the countryside competing for rewards. He is determined to capture the elusive Renegade in order to fatten his sporran. Unfortunately, the band of Renegades captures him first.
There are many secrets that will be revealed throughout the book, along with heartbreak, passion, and love.
It was a bit slow. I love her and her stories, but this wasn’t a favorite.
A well written story. A good happily ever after story. Loved the plot. Good twist and turn story.
It was different. The heroine was a gritty, determined woman in spite of her blindness. It was interesting how her animals loved & helped her. I’ve never really thought about how being disabled In those times would totally cut you out of society.
Excellent. Loved disabled leader of renagades.
Loved it. Had a hard time putting it down. Ended up getting the whole series.
A triumph over a disability leads a highland lass to become a champion for the downtrodden in her home area and eventually to unexpected love.
Loved the story and characters E.Rose has another hit
It rather picks up where the first in the series left off, thereby developing the character of and the focus on another main character to be.Did a good job of that, I think.
There was so much to this book. All the twists made me love it.
good
Lady Renegade is a captivating and unpredictable story set in medieval England and Scotland. It is packed with action, danger, twists, turns, and lots of surprising discoveries, not the least of which is a band of female renegades led by the blind Wren. There is romance, but it builds slowly. Uncertainties and pains from the past make believing that love is possible difficult for both Wren and Storm. The unforgettable, complex characters draw you into the story. The action and tension as the story unfolds make it a page-turner. Excellent narration by Kevin E. Green, as always, helps to bring the story to life. I enjoyed this story and recommend that you join the Mackeefes, MacDougalls, and the Lady Renegades to storm the castle.
The book was a gift, the story great, and my review voluntary.
Hidden Relationships – Lost brother, mother and son.
Lady Wren has a hard life, lost in a forest aged three, taken forcefully by the Scottish King as a young girl and then blinded by her foster father’s captain of the guard. However her will to survive eventually leads to her being the leader of a group of warrior women. Hunted by the authorities and in constant danger, as long as Wren has her faithful pets she is fearless but apart from them the story is quite different. Storm MacKeefe is tricked into agreeing to capture the Renegades leader, not realising that she is a woman nor that he has met her before and that his past is entwined with hers. Highly recommended.
Wren Is traveling from England to Scotland with her infant son, so the King can meet his son.
Along the way, they are ambushed by the clan MacKeefe.
Storm MacKeefe does not like unnecessary blood shed. He wants peace between the clans and also with the English.
While trying to escape, Wren gets struck by one of her own and hits her head and looses her sight.
Using her other senses, along with her pet owl, she becomes the Lady Renegade. She is the leader of a small group of women warriors who goes up against the English.
Storm is hired to capture the mystery leader, but gets captured instead.
I wish the female protagonist was more involved in the action and not always being saved by the male character
Sweet, easy read in the medevil genre.
Not realistic for the time period.
