This story was emotional read for me. It was one that had everything you’ve come to expect from SC Diako. She has quite the way with words that sucks you in. I was enthralled with all that this story brought to the table. This historical romance is a one click for sure!!
Fern goes on a vacation and things turn weird and crazy. She has to go through things and see things that will amaze you. It is a historical romance that will stay with you long after the last page.
I loved this from start to finish. The characters of Fern, Cecilia, Luca, and Zorzo were amazing. You will be mesmerised by the beautiful history, the passion, the love between these characters. You will not want to put this down, wanting to find out what will happen next. I love Historical Romance stories and this is one of the best. I wanted more and it touched me beyond words. A must, must, must romantic read.

Fern finds herself on vacation to deal with a trauma in her life when things get real weird for her. She starts to have these dreams and visions about another lady and she can sense that they share some interests and something else but Fern can’t figure it out until she meets Luca an Architect.
The more Fern goes back in time the more she learns what is happening. That is when she and Luca will have to stay one step ahead before they get caught up in an age old trauma.
This is a must read who loves past to present reads as well as romance reads. This is a one click for all.
Always wonderful to read your book. I can never put them down. Once I start I just can’t stop. All the feels and characters you bring to the table is just wow. I need more!!!
This type of genre isnt usually my thing at all but I decided to give this one a try. I have to say that I truly enjoyed it and was glad I gave this one a chance. Loved all the characters and the storyline as we go back in time.
This was such a unique novel. The descriptions of my surroundings amazing! When you can’t go visit a place via plane, visit via a book. That’s exactly what Ms. Daiko has done, and quite brilliantly! I enjoyed this story’s plot! Traveling back in time! This book warmed my heart and made me feel like I want to when reading this genre!
Lady of Venice by Siobhan Daiko is a really two stories in one I felt. There was the present day (sort of 1989) with Fern who was pulled back in time to learn about Cecilia. It was mysterious but it kept you wanting to read more to find out what is going on. This was a different type of book then I usually read but one that I did enjoy and hope to read more from this author.
What a very interesting story I have read nothing like it as we go back into history and then current time again and again with such beautiful description and so much mystery I couldn’t put it down. The characters Fern and Luca were very well developed and we learned so much of the history as Fern goes on her journey and with Luca by her side everything becomes so new and so exciting. I really enjoyed this.
This store has two different time periods that were written brilliantly. Mystery , attraction and love this book covers it all . She took a couple facts from history and wrote the love story of Zorzo and Cecilia from the 1500 time period and also Luca and Fern from 1989 .
This was a book I didn’t know I was looking for.
While I did think the start of the story was a bit too abrupt for me starting with too little of a setup, it was more than made up for through the rest of the story.
It’s a time-slip done realistically. The heroine had clear realistic reaction to slipping away and that’s not something I see often.
I ended up getting confused at times because the book does touch on some political issues of Venice that I’m not at all familiar with, but it luckily didn’t take too much away from the beauty if the story.
Siobhan did an amazing job at giving an enigmatic character in history a voice.
Absolutely recommend!
