Only steal from those who deserve it.2. Don’t fall for any of the Merry Men, not even Val, the charming rogue who keeps insisting they should be together. When Loxley’s sister is kidnapped by werewolves, her skills as the … by werewolves, her skills as the fastest draw in the Wild West will be put to the test. She’ll have to rely on the man she’s entrusted with her heart to protect her back. Even if it means accepting the claim he has over her.

Imagine a strong-willed woman, so forward-thinking and self-assured her family made her leave. Now picture her taking up with a group called ‘The Merry Men’ and becoming the voice every one of them follow. Do you have it pictured? This is overall a quick, easy read in the retelling of the tale of Robin Hood, except Laura Greenwood & L. A. Boruff have given us a gender switch, added vampires and werewolves, and for the most part, turned the tale upside down! It was intriguing enough for me to want to know what happens next. I’m hoping this series will take us into each of the merry men’s lives so we have a better connection with the group as a whole.
Loved the story line and loved how both these authors worked together to create this story. I would recommend this to everyone

This is an interesting blend of stories mixing the Robin Hood story with the Wild West and the paranormal. That is a lot of material to draw from and it certainly makes for an interesting read. As one might expect from such a mix, both the characters and the setting are well developed and infused with details which are both familiar and unusual at the same time. The plot is also well done with a bit of action and intrigue throughout. I particularly like strong heroines and this one fits that bill rather nicely. Overall, it was a fun read and I look forward to seeing more in the future.
Highly recommended.

I am a big fan of strong, independent female leads, so I was immediately intrigued by the idea of making *Robin Hood* a take-charge woman leader. Add vampires and werewolves, and I was sold. I really enjoyed this new take on the old classic, and the characters, although I would have liked more development of the characters’ back-grounds. In general, the story keeps with the Robin Hood story and themes, enemies, and similar names. There are enough tweaks to make it interesting. This is a stand-alone book in the sense that it does complete the main story ARC, but it does end on a big cliffhanger that you’ll need the next book to satisfy.

This is a bit like Robin Hood but it’s got paranormal
theme to it which had me well and truly hooked.
I would definitely recommend this book.

Lady of Outlaws is the first book in The Tales of The Clan Robbins series and a great retelling of Robin Hood. In this book, Lady Loxley Robbins, the main character, is a strong, alpha woman/vampire. I loved this version from the interesting characters to the fantastic story with unique twists and turns this is a great read.
I always enjoy Laura Greenwood’s books and this is no exception. Very well written, great characters and a wonderful story world! I cannot say enough good things about these stories, so check them out yourself!

This is book one of The Tales of Clan Robbins series and the main character is an outlawed vampire called Lady Loxley or more commonly Lox, who has joined the Merry Men. A group of outlaws who rob the rich and a particular Prince and give back to the villagers who have been unfairly taxed or robbed by Prince, the alpha of a large pack of werewolves. Lox was raised to take over as Lord, when her father stood down as Lord Robbin, since he didn’t have a son. When she was with another and the son of a prominent man, was killed for his enjoyment of harming others. Instead of her being sent to the Head of the Vampire Council, her parents agreed to exile her and she lost her title. She has many skills which are unusual for women and is a famed sharp-shooter with a gun or crossbow, in a time when weapons are scarce.
There is another vampire in the Merry Men group, (which makes me think of Robin Hood and his Merry Men) called Vin who she has become attracted to and is close to becoming a bonded or fated mate, but that is something she never wants to become. Married that is, as she is still in a time where a married woman is thought of as just a part of her husband, and controlled wholly by them. She is born and also trained to be a leader and soon makes her voice known. When the werewolves attack a village they have just taken their recent spoils back to, they find a note left for Lox. The werewolf Prince, has kidnapped her little sister and now Lox has to try and rescue her from his castle. The werewolf pack outnumbers the vampire and human camp, but they have one renegade werewolf who has some insider information about Prince’s estate and home.
Her first attempt to rescue her sister goes badly wrong and Vin is mortally injured. This leaves her realising she has to make a decision that will affect her future completely, or lose him forever. She couldn’t live with herself if she lost him now, she soon realised. She will finally have to accept the claim he has to her heart if she is to save him and also ask assistance from a witch to defeat her foe and save her sister. A short, but easy read, with a bit of wild west highway men robbing carriages and Robin Hood stealing from the rich to give to the poor, with the added bit of attraction and romance. I look forward to reading more of the Clan Robbins series. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Loxley Robbins has been exiled from her family & has joined the Merry Men. She’s the only female among them, and she has a thing for Val even though she has been trying to deny it. She learns that her sister has been taken by Lord John Prince & she comes up with a plan to rescue her. Val gets injured & there’s only way to save him–she has to bond with him, which she isn’t sure that she wants to be his, but she does’t want to lose him.
I thought the characters were well-written, but the beginning of the story was almost slow enough that I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish it. I did read the first chapter & when it didn’t grab my attention enough I stopped reading & came back about 2 books later. The story has great world building & description to make it easy to visualize where the characters are. Story ends on a cliffhanger.
I love this supernatural take on the Robin Hood story. Loxley, a vampire heir to the Robbins family, was disinherited after she killed the son of a vampire Lord, who was about to kill a human. If her father hadn’t disinherited her and let her escape, she would have been taken by the Vampire High Lord and killed. Now living with a band of Merry Men, all vampires and humans, they steal from John Prince the wolf shifter Lord, and give back to the humans who he has stolen from. But when he targets her family, and especially her younger sister, Loxley and her Bankd of Merry Men will go down fighting. John Prince has to die or the entire realm is in danger from his schemes to rule. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
I loved, loved, loved this book! The story line was interesting and I got sucked in right away. The characters were easy to fall in love with and I loved how their dialogue. The action and romance only added to this great plot and overall made a great story. The writing was smooth and captivating and I really loved it. This book kind of surprised me by how good it was but I ended up really liking it and would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a fast paced, YA fantasy romance.
I liked this story even though it was not as I expected since it was based on Robin Hood story. It had the same basic feel to the story but with a cool twist or two. I liked the twists that showed up. A female lead, vampires, and other creatures make up this story’s characters. I liked it and thought it was just a light hearted read.
The first book in the A Robin Hood Retelling/The Tales of Clan Robbins series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Lady Loxley Robbins’s story has suspense, drama, danger, kidnapping, a villain, and a very strong woman. I want to read the next book. I liked this retelling of the famous story of Robin Hood. I thought the story was exciting and a bit different from the original tale but held enough similarities that one could tell it was based off of the same story. I was split in my feelings out this retelling however. One side of me loves the fact that the story is based on a strong alpha female who is able to get things done and solve problems, and the other side of me is a little disappointed because I love the story of Robing Hood and the male character in it and changing that whole dynamic kind of makes me a little bit disappointed. Although these changes do not take away from the actual story line and writing, these changes do affect my opinion of the story a small amount. The writing was great and I really enjoyed the characters.

Love the spin on Robin Hood in this retelling. I love that the female is the vigilante of sorts. There are other things at play that add to the story and it makes it entertaining and different.
