I really enjoyed this book it was slightly different to the other books in the series but still just as fun and funny. The book starts with several deaths, murders or mishaps that all happen in one place and then along comes Walt and his band of Merry friends to solve the mysterious goings on. Each little case is nicely wrapped up before going onto the next. Walt’s friends make little appearance but are not in the story as much as normal, although Jerry still manages to get in a few jokes and ditties
When Maggie falls in love with a fixer upper mansion Walt knows it is going to be a money pit but to keep his sweetie happy they buy it as an investment. But they had no clue what they were letting themselves in for. As Maggie works on making a scrap book of the mansions chequered past, Walt is left to deal with the workers who refuse to enter because of the strange goings on. Walt has no idea he will be playing a part in helping a ghost move on to the other side, getting an innocent man out of jail and finding stole money as well as getting an ancient curse removed.
George Kuch still manages to pull off an excellent example of why he is still the only voice for Walt Williams and his friends.
Lady Justice and the Mystery Mansion is my thirty-third enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns & one-liners although shorter than most at less than three hours. Throughout the book I found myself smiling a lot & at times laughing out loud. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Up next is Lady Justice and Good vs. Evil. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
Once again I am amazed by the talent of Robert Thornhills writing. This book takes on a little different story line but oh so wonderful. Walt and Maggie buy an once grand old mansion. The mansion is in great disrepair . Maggie sets out to get a history of each of the previous owners and Walt finds himself having to deal with their sometimes sordid pasts. George Kuch once again is the fantastic voice of Walt Williams. George is a wonderful narrator of this story line. I am so addicted to these stories.
supernatural, suspense, restoration, greed, pride, seniors, situational-humor, verbal-humor
Between the wife with a vision to restore a once impressive mansion and a reluctant husband who knows just who to call, long ago wrongs are righted and surprises happen. Another excellent read from the annals of Lady Justice!
George Kuch continues to be the very best as narrator.
Audiobook review: Lady Justice and the Mystery Mansion is another great short story by Robert Thornhill. Walt Williams and his wife Maggie take on a restoration project and find that their new purchase is plagued with a long line of home owner misfortunes. The story is interesting and entertaining and kept me engaged in listening. The narrator did a great job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
