Book 5Rapunzel de Bar is one of seven siblings cursed by the evil witch, Hecuba. She has been kidnapped by the old woman and kept in a tower that has one window and no doors. When she tires of waiting for her brothers to rescue her, Rapunzel decides to escape on her own. One stormy night while the witch is away, Rapunzel uses her braid to lower herself out the tower window. She cuts her braid and … cuts her braid and falls atop a rider passing by below.
Marco Drago del Rossi III is on the tail of a man he’s been chasing when a woman drops from the sky and knocks him off his horse. She is beautiful, but he is furious that now he’s lost his bounty as well as his steed. The woman asks for his help to escape her prison, but her curse and an old witch make the matter complicated.
Can a Dragon Lord in training and a cursed lady find love amongst all the turmoil that magic has placed in their lives? And is escape even an option for Rapunzel with a curse so dark that Marco is forced to push his past aside and risk everything for the girl he loves?
Love knows no bounds, and sometimes a prison is not physical . . . but self-made.

I have enjoyed this wonderful and magical series from the beginning, TANGLED TALES, LADY IN THE TOWER, was so amazing from start to finish. In this one we meet Rapunzel, a fairytale, not given much notice to. Ms. Rose brought not only the characters to life but added depth and magic to one of my favorite fairytales. Brillantly written, with depth, wonderful characters and a plot to remember for a long time, after the last page. Wonderful re-tellung of Rapunzel! A must read!
Another childhood favorite fairytale given a new and improved update sure to entertain even the fussiest of fairytale coinsures. Ms. Rose has the great ability to tweak and twist a story while keeping to the theme but making it her own. Rapunzel was definitely not what I expected and was an interesting version . I enjoyed the lesson that was presented in the storyline and found the new ideas highly entertaining. Marco Drago del Rossi III was a pleasant surprise and just the right character to show Rapunzel a new way of looking at things. The storyline was easy to follow, the characters were interesting and refreshing and the moral or lesson was woven seamlessly into the plot. The crossover of the other characters in the series keeps you focused on the original curse plus lets you keep in the loop so to speak as they work toward finding their missing siblings. If you have not started this series you are really missing out as it is fun, entertaining and an interesting view of your classic fairytales.
I volunteered to read this story for my honest opinion.
Another great tangled fairy tale from master storyteller Elizabeth Rose!! This time we have Rapunzel de Bar, one of seven children that have all been cursed by the witch Hecuba. The de Bar family is featured in each novella of the Tangled Tales Series, but this can be read alone. The imagination and skillful plotline of this author are amazing. Rapunzel finds herself locked in a tower with no escape but a door she cannot breach and a window high up in the tower. She has been waiting on her brothers to rescue her but decides to take things into her own hands and lower herself out of the window with her hair (yes it is possible in this tale!) But as fated stories go, she lands on top of Sir Marcos Drago who is focused on his manhunt! But Marcos is almost a broken man, having lost everything and has to find funds to release his father who is imprisoned. Running or literally colliding with Rapunzel may have been a stroke of luck, This was such an entertaining story with magical creatures and a beautiful heroine. What more can you ask for? Loved it!
My favourite in the series so far.
The spoilt baby of the de Bar family is imprisoned by the witch Hecuba in a tower. She gives up on awaiting rescue by her family and attempts escape herself; whilst her freedom doesn’t last very long she does meet (or rather, crash into) a struggling bounty hunter called Marco. Is there more to him than it seems? Can he possibly rescue her and break the curse? I loved this story with the introduction of dragons into the series and the growth of a supernatural child. Please note that you will enjoy this book much more if you have read the previous stories. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
