My name is Kyanne Trent. I grew up around bikes my whole life, like it or not. My parents are presidents of the Legion of Guardians and the Lady Guardians in Arlington Virginia. Their one vice is the rival 1% biker gang The Hellhounds. They can’t seem to shake that feud. The president of ‘The Dogs’ is out of prison after a ten-year stint. The Guardians are the ones who put him there. After … After receiving the worst news of my life, I have no choice but to dust off my riding skills and climb back on the one thing I’ve been avoiding. My bike.
I will avenge this wrong by myself if I have to, but my best friend Zachary may have something to say about that.
I’m Zach Foster. I’m the Tail Gunner for the Legion of Guardians in Arlington Virginia. My best friend, Kyanne, is a handful and beyond stubborn. It’s her way or no way; she won’t listen to reason. But, she’ll forever have my heart. I just haven’t told her yet.
When tragedy befalls her family, I’m her shoulder to cry on and help her warm her sheets as a distraction. I’ll help provide comfort anyway I can; Kyanne can have whatever she wants. I’ll get her back on the bike, collecting dust in the garage again. I just have to make sure she doesn’t run off and do anything stupid to get back at The Hellhounds.

I’ve seen a few of these books, written by different authors, floating around. When I got the chance to read this one, I jumped at it! I loved the idea of a group of women in an MC. From what I can tell, the entire series is about a MC, the Lady Guardians, that are affiliated with another MC, the League of Guardians. It appears that each author has taken a different chapter of the Lady Guardians and written stories of members. I’ve not dug too deep on the entire series, but it was enough to drag me into this story, with no hesitation, even though it’s a new to me author.
To begin with, I felt like I’d been dropped into the middle of a story, with no preparation. The prologue begins with a story of the main character, and an interaction with a rival MC. But in reality, it was setting the scene, laying the groundwork, helping me understand why Kyanne has set herself apart from the MC, even though it played such a pivotal role in her upbringing, and her family. This interaction molded her thinking, made her into who she is, what she does with her life. Until that same MC comes back to haunt her present, and cause devastation throughout the MC.
This story is a romance, but more. There is so much going on, I just couldn’t help but fall into the story. Kayanne is a strong woman, knows who she is, and what she wants from life. But she also isn’t afraid to stand up for herself and her loved ones. She jumps in with eyes wide open, with no hesitation, even when it’s something she isn’t totally comfortable with. I loved this story so much, I’m going to have to go looking for more books in this series!
This is my first read by Hadley Raydeen and will definitely not be the last! This book has it all Male and female bikers, brotherhood, sisterhood, loyalty, lots of family drama and love. One hell of a ride. Already one clicked book 2!
The great plot was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I thought it was good. It is essentially part of two different series. The first is the Lady Guardians series written by multiple authors. The second is the Arlington series written solely by this author. As for the Lady Guardians, this story is loosely connected. Although I’ve only read two other books in this series, the only recurring character that showed up in this one was the National President of the Lady Guardians, Justice. As for the Arlington series, this is book one. It is mainly Kyanne and Zach’s story, but there is a side couple who will be featured in book two. When it comes to the second couple, this story ends in a cliffhanger.
Overall, I liked Ky and Zach together. Their relationship was a friends to lovers one. Zach had always been there for Ky, but lately he’s been there more than ever. I really liked his character and how he was towards Kyanne. When it comes to MC romance, this story is a little different. The main character, Kyanne, was not all about the MC life. In fact, in spite of growing up immersed in it, Ky actually distanced herself from the club. Overall, I enjoyed this story and am interested in reading book two.

Kyanne Trent grew up in the MC biker life, but it wasn’t what she wanted for herself. She walked away from it to pursue her own interests helping others.
Zach Foster came into the MC as a choice, giving up any wealth or privilege and doing something he loved as he became the Tail Gunner who fixed the bikes. He secretly loved the President’s daughter, Kyanne, and just gave her his friendship and protection rather than let her know how he felt.
When tragedy strikes Kyanne, her father burned alive in a video, Kyanne comes back to the biker world to seek revenge. Zach is there for her and finally confesses his love. From there, he comforts her and their feelings grow.
I liked the love story embedded in the overall MC tale. Zach was a favorite character because of his loyalty, friendship, and caring. Kyanne could be stubbornly annoying at times, but that makes for a good story in dealing with the trouble she gets into. I did like the Lady Guardians idea and the things that they did. Lots of twists, turns, and surprises here! Grab your copy and see this different take on the biker life.
Zach and Ky grew up around each other against the backdrop of the mc her father was a bigwig in.
Free taught Zach mechanics and detailing / body work, and made him his tailgunner when Free made president of the Guardians.
that means he became responsible to help folks with their bikes, their issues, be there when asked by Free, and also to look out for his best friend Ky – her father Free made him vow it.
A steamy and dangerous mc romance / adventure with plenty of twists, turns and who is the daddy scenarios.
I read the book on Kindle Unlimited.
