I enjoyed this well-written, short office romance between a tech dreamer hero and a hard-nosed businesswoman who wants to make a difference in the tech industry and for women in the sciences, but woe to any man standing in her path! Tyson and Samantha’s relationship is not typical; it’s refreshing the way they work out their HEA despite the initial conflict caused by business differences. Tyson’s backstory with his father and his devotion to his researchers and gender equality in the workplace made him a very sympathetic hero. Lucky Samantha! There’s steam, but it does not overpower the plot or romance.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Refreshing read. Interesting take on female leadership. She was right about a lot of things but wrong on others. Its okay to want someone to love you. She was so used to having control that she hardest time not being in control. I learned in my life that its okay to not be in control sometimes. Its hurts your pride some but it won’t kill you either.

I love a good Billionaire romance but I have to admit I think this is the first one I have read where the woman is the boss and billionaire and I just loved it. I really liked Samantha she was tough but fair I was shocked because I kind of expected her to be a b**** but was so pleased when she was not I also really liked that even though he was mad about his company being sold Tyson had no issue that it was bought by a woman. This was a great book I just loved it
Samantha Williams has fought long and hard to get where she is. Her company WilCo Enterprises is a great success, and she’s a billionaire. Tyson Jenkins has worked just as hard to get SUNLIT, his innovative solar technology company, where it is. But two shareholders are selling, and Samantha Williams bought SUNLIT. The worst part is that he had met Sam the woman, not Samantha the businesswoman, who left an indelible impression on him. What to do when the woman he lusts after is now his boss?
What a fabulous twist! She is the billionaire who holds all the cards! She is super tough but fair, and oh joy! he isn’t condescending, is not threatened by her sex, but he is angry to see his company sold. The chemistry was certainly there, but I couldn’t figure how they could ever be a couple, especially after the deed was done and complications arose. How do it succeed, may you ask? By having characters that behave like the professionals they are and by acting like rational businesspeople. There is also some groveling involved…
LADY BOSS is a novella on the shorter side and yet, nothing felt rushed. I got a good feel for the work environment and the technologies involved, and for Samantha and Tyson. There are sexy times, playful banter, as well as meaningful conversations. Because of the length, it’s more of a happy-for-now, which is logical, but there’s no doubt in my mind that it will be a happily-ever-after because all the elements are there: complicity, compromise, and most of all mutual respect. It’s wonderful to have a really strong heroine, and most of all to be shown that she is, not merely told. Tyson and Samantha form the sort of couple I wish we’d see more often in romance novels rather than the damsel in distress and the controlling knight in repulsive armour calling all the shots. This is what contemporary romance should be like. Well done, Ms. De Winton!
Lady Boss by Michele de Winton is a great read, interesting, fun, steamy and enjoyable story. Great storyline, interesting characters with enough steam, well done!

Samantha Williams is a self made billionaire in the tech industry so when she takes over Tyler Jenkins company she keeps him employed. She is now his boss but he has an intense attraction for her and it’s not long before she feels the same. This is a steamy hot boss/employee affair and so worth the read.

I thought that this was a good read. The chemistry bteween Sam and Tyson created lots of sparks and heat. I enjoyed the storyline and thought it was fun and felt very up-to-date. Both Sam and Tyson had issues that added to the complexity of these characters. Unfortunately, for me it also made them a bit annoying and unlikable.
She’s the boss and he needs to be schooled.
Tyson Jenkins is a science nerd. He’s got huge trust issues and falls back to his default setting of idiot.
Samantha is the boss. A self made tech genius who meets Tyson and he doesn’t know who she is. His new boss, with the majority share in his company.
They have heat and STEM chemistry.
I loved this book! Even with Tyson having a major idiot breakdown.
Recommend.

In a nice twist of roles Michele DeWinton takes the heroine of Lady Boss and puts her in a position of power typically seen being held by heroes for a very entertaining read!
In a man’s world Samantha Williams not only holds her own but exceeds expectations as a successful CEO. When Tyson Jenkins’ company is acquired by Sam’s company he is reluctant to part ways with it not because he has issues with a woman taking it over but because he wants to make sure the vision he had for his company is not destroyed in the name of profit. The struggle to compromise and stand in each other’s shoes while dealing with a mutual attraction was nicely done by this writer. It was inspiring to see Tyson’s enlightened views toward women and it made for one desirable hero. Sam was a strong yet accessible heroine.
In Lady Boss Michele DeWinton’s portrayals of modern women raise the stakes for heroines everywhere and give their heroes happily ever after’s to be envious!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
Tyson’s a scientist trying to change the world with his company’s inventions, and Sam, CEO of her own tech company. They meet at a school science competition where Tyler is unaware who she is and that she is about to take majority ownership of his company. There is a lot of tension between the two – she’s used to controlling things and is sure she knows what’s best. He sees the future with the research projects his company has and the programs they are promoting. They are each determined to prove their point and there are a lot of bumps along the way – especially when Tyson gets her into a small plane despite her fear of flying – and they fly into a bad storm. There’s plenty of sparks flying – from anger and passion.

Fun and flirty!
Michele has done it again for me. I couldn’t stop reading and this time it was a well written boss lady who was also 3 dimensional which was nice.
Whew!!! What a great read.
