This whole series is wonderful!
Theodora – 4 Stars
The novel was well paced & the characters were well portrayed but the idea of four young ladies of the ton taking part in archery tournaments didn’t sit well with me. Theo seemed too perfect & Adeline was extremely selfish. Alistair although likeable seemed to be always in a foul mood, but a softer gentler side was shown. The book did hold my attention & I do want to read the other three archers’ stories
Georgina – 4 Stars
Another well paced novel, which was a fun read. Lady Georgina is trying to win archery competitions in order to support herself so she does not need to marry. Her father, a Duke is too busy with his new wife and baby to pay much attention to her but the new Duchess is intent on getting her out of their lives. I originally read this is an anthology
Adeline – 3.5 stars
A retelling of Beauty & the Beast, Jasper is lovely as the Beast & I felt for him when people were so shallow as to turn away or cut him for his scars. Adeline is bordering on a spoilt brat but she didn’t judge Jasper & I felt they redeemed each other. The book was well written & the characters were well portrayed & had plenty of depth but I felt it was lacking passion, it was a clean romance but just lacked that sparkle. I’ve read most of the author’s books & she is a favourite of mine but much prefer some of her other books
Josephine – 3.75 stars
A short story that rounded off the series, the characters are very likeable & the pace is good, I read the story in a sitting. It was a fitting conclusion & it enabled the reader to ‘catch up’ with the other Lady Archer’s Creed members. I’ve enjoyed the whole series including Josie’s story. My only criticism was the amount of typos which I would have expected to have been picked up at proofreading.
Loved this series. Strong women —fun circumstances- really good stories!
Although the books became formulaic and the last one seemed a bit of an after-thought; the concept was totally original. I loved the first three using the same scene with the different characters to introduce their individual stories. I totally enjoyed spending the week-end with them.
I liked the two books written by Christina McKnight, the two books by Amanda Mariel, not so much. I wish Ms. McKnight had written the whole series.
Enjoyed all four books
Great characters, but plots tend to be underdeveloped.

Theodora: Lady Archer’s Creed Series (Book one)
Follows Lady Theodora Montgomery with her sharp mind and love of academics as she becomes the perfect archery coach. Despite being the last to join the group, and the obvious outcast, she will risk her future for her friends. And Alistair Price, hier to the elderly Viscount Melton, arrived in London with his eight siblings in tow. He is in charge with keeping his family name above reproach until the Season starts and his sister Miss Adeline Price, is presented to society. A beautifully written & developed novel with no plot holes. With compelling & wity character’s that are realistic with real emotions and flaws. The supporting character’s are also sensational & add to the story. I fell in love with the character’s & the novel. The premise of the novel is unrivaled & breathtaking. A captivating novel that had me hooked right from the beginning till the end. A unparalleled writing style which is perfect for the genre era. A sweet & fun historical read that I didn’t want to put it down. With a perfect ending to this novel. Looking forward to reading book two in this remarkable historical series. I highly recommend reading this novel as you will not be disappointed.
