These previous released, bestselling romances of love, loss, and redemption will keep you enthralled and leave you satisfied.Scandalous WallflowerA wallflower by nature, Jane long ago accepted she would become a spinster. I really enjoyed Grace’s story, Scandalous Liason. As a young debutante, she was in love with Lewis Duffield. But her father signed contracts and she choose to marry a duke instead.
Now, two decades later, will she get a second chance with Lewis?
When her carriage breaks down, he shares his to get them to the christening on time.
I really liked that they were older and both have lived their lives.
Second novella was a wallflower, but the duchess’ story was outstanding.
Recommend.

fall in love with these two wonderful reads as they try to find love and even redemption. Each one is different but you will love each one as you follow them along their journey
These are two very romantic and entertaining stories. The storylines are sweet and the characters are likable and charming. All the stories in the series keep you entertained from start to finish.

The final two novellas of the Ladies and Scoundrels series they are well written and held my interest. Scandalous Wallflower is Jane and Caleb’s story and I found myself laughing at some of the things that happen. Scandalous Liaison is about an older couple that come back together after a long time apart. Grace Stratton, the Duchess of Abernathy is a widow and Lewis Duffield the plantation owner who stole her heart years ago. I was glad to see the story about this older couple. I enjoyed reading both stories.
This set contains two historical stories that are novella quick reads. I enjoyed both of them. Good plots with likable characters. My favorite was “Scandalous Wallflower”!
I loved these 2 great Regency romances with great characters, romance and intrigue. I especially liked the second book which was a second chance romance that was really enjoyable. If you like Regency romances, check out this collection and you won’t be disappointed.

Liked both, but…
I am a fan of the author, and I liked most of her books – historical romance. She has weave a great many stories that left me satisfied. In this set, I have to compare and, I prefer the the Scandalous Wallflower more than the Scandalous Liaisons. The story is quite cute for me and I liked how scandalous it turned out. Perfect character development, as well as the plot’s pace. While the other has me quite thinking, since the characters were somewhat out of their element, and the chemistry is a bit off for me.Not to add to it, its somewhat rushed ending. Nevertheless, overall, the set is an enjoyable read.

Loved these stories. They have humor, excitement, adventure and so much more. The characters are so perfect for the stories and fit so well together. And they also bring these stories to life to where they grab your attention and don’t let go. The women and men who have baggage to fix on their way to love. I highly recommend these. I received a review copy and voluntarily review them.
The first book features Jane who is resolved to being a spinster that is until Caleb is found in her room the morning after a house party.
The second book has Grace and Lewis smitten with each other but her father betrothed her to someone else with money because her family needs the money and now years later they see each other at a baby christening.
Both books are well written and interesting to read with great characters.

This book contains two early Victorian novellas by one author, Scandalous Wallflower and Scandalous Liaison. Both books are quite short and can be read in less than an hour each.
The first novella, Scandalous Wallflower, does show Jane, the wallflower, in a rather scandalous position–quite literally. She is asleep in her chamber during a house party when a man comes in and undresses! Rather than kick him out, maiden Jane allows him to stay and enjoys a few kisses and caresses before he falls asleep. When morning comes, though, all heck breaks loose when her brother, his wife, and a notorious gossip find them in her room with her nighttime interloper half-dressed. How will this work out for Jane and Caleb, the Marquess in her room? this story had some delightfully steamy moments as well as some humorous ones. They’re both broken people in different ways, and after a little bit of strife, they figure out how to mend each other. The good but simple plot was appropriate for the length of the novella.
Despite the title of Scandalous Liaison, considering the heroine is a widow and the liaison’s duration, there is not too much scandal. Grace and Lewis had courted when she was a debutante, but her family required that she marry a duke to help save the family’s fortunes. Now some twenty years later, they meet again for the baptism of his great-niece. Romantic sparks fly. While I appreciated that this novel had an older heroine–and that is not common in Victorian romance–this story is one that I believe requires more than a novella to tell properly. The pacing felt off for the entire novella and especially so with the abrupt end. The reason for the conflict didn’t feel like enough to keep them apart if it is true that they have regretted so much for so long. I so enjoyed the first one of this set that I hoped it would be the same for this one, but I didn’t like it nearly as much. To me, the characters lacked chemistry and didn’t really have a chance to develop as characters.
There were a few issues with wrong word choice (lathe/lave, bear/bare, good/said, worship/warship[!], and emblazoned used incorrectly) as well as an occasional wrong letter thrown in. I found myself wondering if the books had been professionally edited.
The stories aren’t evenly matched, as I felt that the first one was much stronger in terms of empathetic characters, solid backstory, conflict, and finally, an appropriate type of plot for the length of the stories.
I love Amanda Mariel books she write lovely historical romances. In these books you have Lady Jane and Lady Grace’s stories. In one you have a wallflower find her gentleman and the other is a lady who has a second chance of finding true love. Both stories were wonderful I did like Grace’s a bit more since it was an older couple you do not see that often. This really is a must read collection if you like Amanda Mariel. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
