BurntAfter the accident, the chief was pushing me to retire.Being a firefighter was all I had ever wanted, what I lived for.Well, other than my 12 year old daughter Abby.Raising her as a single dad, much less a busy firefighter, wasn’t easy, but life never is.Then a call came in from an all to familiar area code.I was being beckoned back to my hometown, back to Canon.I had left that small town … Canon.
I had left that small town years ago, leaving behind a lot, including… her.
Change Up
Baseball has always been a part of my life, but being a pro-ballplayer isn’t without it’s drawbacks. That big house I built back in my small hometown sits empty most of the year since Izzy, my daughter, now stays mostly with my parents… ever since her mother, Rachel, left.
Now, without a team to play for, I find myself heading home. Maybe it’s a good thing. I can focus on my daughter and my life. I need to get things straightened out, including that hole that I never filled after Rachel was gone. But, is there anything that could keep me in town if another team came calling?
After Midnight
Coming back to civvy life has been difficult. I’m used to being a soldier and having a clear mission. Now, I’m a single dad with a son who’s about to graduate and go off to college.
I want be there for my son and I want to get back to a normal life… But something is holding me back. I can’t quite pinpoint what is missing. What it is that keeps me up at night.
Or I couldn’t, until I walked into the Moonlight diner and met her.

Lacy Hart’s Single Dad Romance Collection was a great read by Lacy Hart. This set includes; Burnt, Change-Up and After Midnight. Burnt: A Single Dad Small Town Romance was a great read by Lacy Hart. All Travis ever wanted was to be a firefighter. Now he finds himself being pushed to retire by his chief after an accident. It isn’t easy to raise his 12 year old daughter as a single father, especially as a busy firefighter. He finds himself being beckoned back to his home small home town he left years ago. Sophie never intended to stay in her hometown but ended back there after losing Travis years ago. Change Up (The Home Stand Series Book 1) was a great read by Lacy Hart. Wes is a pro-ballplayer who finds himself without a team to play for. He heads home ready to focus on his daughter. Kristin came to Chandler to build a new life. Things abruptly change when Wes comes back to town. They have a chance meeting in the library which leads to more. After Midnight was a great read by Lacy Hart. Caleb is a single dad, ex-special forces and a widower. He has trouble at sleeping at night and finds himself walking into the Moonlight Diner. It is there that he meets Sarah and they instantly connect. They both have scars that haunt them. I enjoyed reading Sarah and Caleb’s story and can’t wait to read more by the author.
I really enjoyed this set of short stories. They are short and quick reads about single dads in small towns, but they are not so short you feel like something is missing. I actually felt they seemed like full books to me because so much great detail and storyline were in them. The first story: BURNT is about Travis and Sophie who fell in love in college but things happen and they go 14 years without talking to each other until he comes back to town. I loved the storyline and his daughter, I loved Travis for knowing exactly what he wants now and goes for it, and I loved Sophie’s sweet personality. The next story: CHANGE UP was about a pro baseball player named Wes and a librarian named Kristin. I really enjoyed their story because it was a meet cute and they had a phenomenal chemistry yet they had some dramas and situations that they had to get through. Wes was the sweet and confident athlete and Kristin was the sweet southern girl who stole his heart. I loved them together. The very last story: AFTER MIDNIGHT was extremely great because it had so much suspense and drama but was sweet and cute all at once. This story is about Caleb an ex military man trying to readjust to life after retiring from his services and Sarah who is a waiter, student, and kind of gave off Cinderella vibes because of her chores around her brothers house. These two were made for each other, they have to endure each other’s baggage and dramas figure out how they fit in each other’s lives. It was amazing. Overall I extremely enjoyed these stories and to me they didn’t go too quick were they seemed rushed, they are some of the best ones I’ve really enjoyed and been really into for a long time.
A captivating read from beginning to end! An exciting storyline that leaves you breathless wanting more! Sexy steam filled chemistry! Emotionally heartfelt, enjoyable and fun! One heck of a twisted, intense rollercoaster ride! An amazing must read!

This collection counts of three single dad, small town romances. The first one, “Burnt”, is about a fireman, the second, “Change up” about an aging baseball player and the last, “After midnight”, about a military.
The three books are really different, each character has their own voice and development, and the stories are nothing alike, which is so good because sometimes this kind of novels tend to be really similar and is confusing and annoying.
The best thing, however, was the realistic representation of a teenager that we see in the second book of this collection. This fact made that book my favorite of them all, because I’m tired of reading stereotyped teenagers who have zero development and feelings beyond “nice” or “moody” in contemporary adult romances.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this topics and wants some realistic development and situations, with that sweet small town setting.

This collection is amazing! I absolutely loved it! Three wonderful stories about couples who manage to find their happily ever after, even after things go a little haywire. Travis, a firefighter and Sophie, a school teacher – old flames who find each other again after the death of his father sends him back to his hometown. Wes, a baseball player and Kristin, a librarian – who find each other and have a wonderful relationship despite a pro baseball career and a sassy teenage daughter. Caleb, an Army vet and Sarah, a waitress – two people with a painful past that find common ground and a way to get past all the pain.

An amazing collection of read-worthy standalone romances. The storylines are flawless, funny, witty, emotional, and very interesting; packed with drama, humour, and sizzling chemistry between the characters. This collection grabs hold of your attention and holds it until the very end. Definitely recommended!

If you ae a fan of single dad romances, this collection provides three tantalizing stories that draws you in and have you in the corners of the alpha men in the stories. My favorite is Burnt. Travis is a firefighter who has resigned himself to the fact that he must retire from the job he loved after a fire accident that left him with an injured leg. To top it off his father died and he was shocked to find out that his father left him with a financial haul. He also learned that his father had another life he didn’t know anything about. Travis was finding out a lot of things that he thought about but coming back to his home town stirred up possibilities that could either make for a happily ever after or heartache. Which will it be for Travis?

This is a wonderful collection of three books by Lacey Hart I believe that ll of the have been issued as singles This is the perfect way to keep them all together or as a great introduction to this Thor if she is new to you. The books are
BURNT
Sophie and Travis where childhood sweethearts but he wanted to leave school to become a fire fighter Sophie wasn’t willing to make that commitment so they went there separate ways Now fourteen years this single father and virgin schoolteacher run into one another once again and the chemistry is still there between them Do they have a chance this time and will they get a HEA You will need to read to see
CHANGE UP
Sometimes it doesn’t matter how famous you are not everyone will recognise you. This is the unusual situation Wes finds himself in he has been playing baseball for 15 years and everyone knew who he was now he has been let go and he has decided he needs to build a relationship with his daughter, but then he meets Kirstin the young librarian and she has no idea who he is a novel thing for Wes. When family meddle the two of them eventually go on a date and you can see straight away that it will be the start of something special. This is a sweet book about a May/December romance and is a pleasure to read
AFTER MIDNIGHT
Can two damaged people be the ones to heal each other. Caleb retired military who is now the sole carer for his son after his wife died in an accident he has no idea how to deal with his son in fact he doesn’t know how to deal with civilians. Sarah cyber bullied at a young age and blamed by everyone for it Living in a toxic environment with her brother and his family she doesn’t speak to anyone and is a total recluse Then these two meet and find a common ground Will they heal one another and do they have a future together you will have to read to see.
This is a great value box set that will keep you entertained for hours
I love this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone. These single dads are so sexy.
Each story is unique and well written. Awesome characters that are easy to fall in love with. Fantastic description of details making it easy to visualize. Easily drawn into the story.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA. I would have loved to have seen a bit more of Aaron’s POV though.
All in all a great read!

Book 1
Second chance at love with your first true love. Sweet romance, that works out in favor when you go that extra mile to go after what you really want in life and not let it pass you by the second time.
Book 2
A chance meeting between the new local librarian and the Hometown Baseball All Star. Instant attraction, love and everything that comes with it, including making life choices that will forever change their future.
Book 3
By far my most favorite of this collection, with past turmoil, loss of loved ones and working on oneself to better your life. Did not see the unexpected twist in this book, thoroughly enjoyed the slow coming together of the main characters and the ending was very fitting.

Three Single Dad’s
*** 3 1/2 Stars ***
This collection of of single dad stories was a mix for me as two I liked and one I found really irritating. I had really wanted to like them all as this is the first time I have read anything Lacy Hart and I can see she has talent as a writer. I did not hate anything but I just did not connect with all of the characters or get invested in seeing what happened with them. I will definitely try reading something else by this author to see if I can get a better understanding on her story telling.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
It’s an okay story but the flaws did make it hard for me to get past. I work for a fire dept and for starters no one calls it their fire suit , it’s bunker gear and also these men get hurt so bad in the field. Stabbed shot, broken bones, heart attacks etc and at no point was any firefighter offered an early retirement, that’s almost laughable. First off you’d have a workers compensation claim and you’d be on that for at least 18months before deciding if you can return to work or not and if not you could apply for permanent disability but claims and a hearing take almost another two years past your workers comp to even achieve a maybe. This guy retires at what 35? No way in the world he’d have enough to retire on and also he’s already on disability haha no not over a leg surgery! I know people without limbs that haven’t even qualified for permanent disability. This is just massive lack of research for writing this part. If I’m expected to just blindly believe something for the sake of the storyline then it would be best to just leave us completely blind and just say this dude was hurt and is on disability but never say why, that would be odd but at least more believable than the story that was told. Now don’t get me started on the female protagonist. Okay she’s a 32 year old virgin. Not unheard of fine, but that doesn’t mean she had to be so very lame. I mean seriously why give her a brain at all! She went to college and fell in love and she walked away from the relationship but we are suppose to believe it was such a fantastic relationship that she’s been pining her entire adult life over him to the point she’s only been on like two dates, I mean huh? And so then from the very start you have this super too cutesy for words unrealistic storyline and then all of a sudden it’s an erotic novel? Like this virgin just had no problems screwing that night and is t sore or anything and is totally dropping her errands and life to just go along with whatever this dude wants cause she’s already back in love again! Oh and that’s not to mention a mom that’s perfectly happy with everyone a dead dad that’s left you completely set up in a new town so there’s zero worries in life now la la la
