Cute Australian romance
I’ve been in love with the country of Australia for 65 years now. This book wonderfully feeds into that.
Loved it!A quick sweet read with wonderful characters.
I loved being back in Wirralong I loved the first series set in this outback country town and this time we get to see Lacey have her HEA although a midwife she has been keeping quiet as a housekeeper for a while but now it is her time to shine with the right hero, not a smooth journey though, love can always be a bit rocky.
Lacey Jerome is finally doing something that she loves doing and that is playing her saxophone at her friend’s wedding and it is time to go back to Perth and sort out her divorce and return to start a new life, but a wedding brings out happiness before her trip to Perth and giving in to her attraction to police officer Cameron James for one night will leave consequences that will change her life for the better.
James is happy playing the field he has no intentions of settling down or becoming a father ever after living the first seven years in foster care until he was adopted and moved to Wirralong he decides that that is the life for him, but watching and hearing Lacey play that saxophone does something to him and he needs to be with her and one night doesn’t seem to be enough, when she takes off and arrives back in Wirralong eight months later and he helps deliver her baby things are really going to change for him.
This is an emotional story, very moving as we journey with Lacey and Cameron, Lacey has been through a really tough relationship and is very wary of being her own person now and with a son to think of as well it is not going to be easy for her and Cameron the protector even if being a father is not something he wanted he soon learns that loving Lacey and their son is just what he does want. Beautifully written, some very exciting times throughout this story from a midwife and a story that is sure to make you smile, thank you MS McArthur I loved it.
I feel like I took another trip to the Outback when I read Lacey’s book. I adore this series. … say series this is an extension of the first four books from Tule “Outback Brides” . In Lacey we get to see many of trusted characters that we came to love in the first four books and now we get to see Lacey and Cameron the local police office up close and personal. Chemistry might be there but that does not always mean a couple can make thing work especially when life has thrown all kinds of cinder blocks into each of their lives along the way. I loved catching up with old friends and making new ones as I took a trip back to the Outback. I can not wait for the next’s Outback brides story.
An easy read set in a country town of Australia.
A recently divorced young woman still a bit skittish of controlling men is attracted to the local cop. Wedding fever has them spend a night together. Returning to town 8 months later she has a huge surprise for him. He never wanted fatherhood, she doesn’t want someone just because there is a baby. Circumstances throw them together, can they put aside their past histories and make it work.
This looks like it’s going to be a fun series and I’m looking forward to reading about other characters in this town.
Set in the Australian Outback, in the town of Wirralong, where weddings and happily ever afters have become the trend, one couple discovers the consequences of their one night stand. Will the love of their baby be enough to bring them together?
Lacey is enjoying a wedding with her friends, on the night her divorce is final, when Wirralong’s hottest police officer sits beside her. Lacey gives in to Cameron’s flirtations and she soon finds herself spending the night with him at his house. When Lacey returns to Perth to collect her belongings and wrap up the sale of the house, she discovers she is pregnant. Lacey doesn’t return to Wirralong until she is eight months pregnant. She soon finds herself in early labor with Cameron rushing her to the hospital. But, they are too late and Lacey ends up giving birth on the side of the road with Cameron right there helping her through it. Lacey wasn’t ready to disclose the identity of her baby’s father, but Cameron figures it out when he sees baby Ethan has a birthmark that is identical to his own.
Cameron is a dedicated bachelor. He doesn’t plan on getting married or ever having children. But when he discovers he is Ethan’s father, he starts to have a change of heart. Now, Cameron has to convince Lacey that they will make a good couple and he can be a good husband and father.
This was a fun and emotional book to read. It was short, but lots of details were packed into the pages.
I really liked this story.
The characters were well developed, and their personalities match them perfectly
It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it.
The plot and the storyline were very descriptive
I would definitely recommend this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Bookbub and am voluntarily leaving a review.
You know what you are getting and it follows the same path. So if you want the predictable – this is your book. It is not bad. It is entertaining but it is just not riveting or a “can’t put down” book
Enjoyed this book writer developed character’s with their quirks and kept me involved.
The story is lovely with some unexpected twists. I loved reading this book and couldn’t put it down.
Nice story that I enjoyed reading. I thought that two weeks was pretty short for declaring love and agreeing to marriage.
Nice addition to the series.
Nice easy read.
I’ve come to enjoy stories about Wirralong. This one was a good one. It is a big stretch for the town not to have a midwife or ability to have babies locally. I find instant love/sex a stretch. But, accepting those two things, it was a good story.
Good read
Great read, looking forward to reading the balance of the series !
It was a sweet, romantic story, with wonderful characters, a friendly town, and was inspirational.
What I liked:
The writing style
Some of the characters
Part of a series: Outback Brides of Wirralong
Standalone

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
