From “one of the bonafide rock stars of the thriller genre” (The Real Book Spy) comes another tour de force in the #1 New York Times bestselling FBI Thriller series following agents Savich and Sherlock as they stumble into a bizarre case that’s more complicated and twisted than any they’ve ever encountered. On a Tuesday afternoon, Agent Sherlock is driving in downtown Washington when her Volvo … driving in downtown Washington when her Volvo is suddenly T-boned at an intersection. As her car spins out of control, a man’s body slams against her windshield and then–blackness. When she finally regains consciousness in the hospital, she’s told about the accident and the man she struck. No one knows yet who he is or where he is because he ran away. From DNA, they discover his name is Justice Cummings and he’s a CIA analyst at Langley…and he’s still missing.
Meanwhile, in the small town of Gaffer’s Ridge, Virginia, Special Agent Griffin Hammersmith rescues a kidnapped woman claiming her captor had probably murdered three missing teenage girls. However, the man she accuses is the local sheriff’s nephew and a member of a very powerful family, reputed to have psychic powers. When the sheriff arrests Griffin and the rescued woman, Carson DaSilva, he calls Savich for help. Together they have to weave their way through a labyrinth of lies to find the truth of a terrible secret.
“If there’s one thing that readers can count on in a Coulter novel it is that she always delivers amazingly eerie and complex thrillers” (RT Book Reviews), and Labyrinth is no different. With white-knuckled pacing and shocking twists and turns, this is another electrifying novel that will sink its teeth in you.

When a Savich and Sherlock book comes out, people drop everything to read it. So clear your schedule, friends! Labryinth is out and it’s amazing.
Another exciting, non-stop, action-packed adventure! As always, there are two different cases to solve – and I can’t decide which one I thought was better, because they were both great. Yes, we have another winner to add to this impressive series.
One case involves treason – Oh! My! As Sherlock is driving toward the gym to meet Savich, her car is t-boned by a black SUV. Her car is sent into a spin where she strikes several other cars – and a man – before it finally comes to rest against a fire hydrant. Sherlock is rushed to the hospital where her most serious injury is head trauma – and – she has amnesia. Can you imagine how terrifying it would be to awaken and have no idea who you were and not remember any of the people around you – even your own husband and son?
As Savich and his team review all of the video taken of the accident, they pick up on something strange. The man Sherlock hit is missing, it appears that he was running from someone and the woman who hit Sherlock was watching the man who was hit. Coincidence after coincidence just pique Savich’s interest and before long they are on the trail of a traitor and espionage at the highest levels of the CIA.
The other case involves the vacationing Agent Griffin Hammersmith. His last case was a long and tough one and Savich had insisted he take a few days off. Griffin decided to visit a good friend in Gaffer’s Ridge, Virginia and had a quiet peaceful couple of days. As he was walking one afternoon, there was a call for help – and then again. When he finally locates the origins, he bursts through the door and sees a man pointing a gun at a woman. Griffin kicks the gun out of the man’s hand while the woman hits the man on the head with a piece of pipe. The woman, Dr. Carson DeSilva, and Griffin soon find that they have a lot in common, but before they can explore that, they have to deal with a Sheriff who is also the uncle of the man with the gun. The whole town is owned by the man and his family, so justice won’t be coming easily. Was that man responsible for the kidnapping and perhaps murder of three teenage girls? The investigation will be very difficult with the sheriff and his family impeding them at every turn.
This author always spins a very suspenseful tale that is intriguing, unique and keeps you wondering where it is going next. I love all of the characters in the series and look forward to visiting with them again in each new book. I think we might have a new addition to the mix with Dr. DeSilva as the love interest of Griffin.
All-in-all this is a great read and I highly recommend it – and the other books in the series as well.
Appropriately titled! Two stories arch through and there are plenty of twists and turns. I love this series, some more than others she knocked this one out of the park. Small town redneck – go ahead, fall for that. Some creepy happenings and some powerful women. Rafter telling the FBI agent Griffin, “go ahead, mom will shine you ” Sherlock and Savich cross into both story lines, The CIA analyst who Sherlock hits and the Gaffers Ridge.
The plot with the CIA analyst is a scary scenario. There is plenty of action, I read this in one sitting, I did not want to be disturbed. I felt for Savich as he struggled with Sherlocks amnesia. I thought it was handled extremely well, Loved when Sherlock asks “are we expected to solve everything” I enjoyed Carson and Griffin interaction (how about her history is there a story there or what?). All that evil in Gaffers Ridge……… Thank you Gallery Books, Catherine Coulter and NetGalley. I am thrilled to have received this arc, all thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.
I love Catherine Coulter’s FBI series with Sherlock and Savich. The characters and pace of the stories always entertain. Another winner!
Awesome book
Catherine Coulter always weaves a good web to hook you in.
How does Catherine Coulter keep coming up with new scenarios for her FBI heroes husband and wife team Agent Savich and Agent Sherlock. In this novel, an accident causes Sherlock to have amnesia which adds to new levels of stress for Savich as they try to find out what happened to the man who flew over Sherlock’s windshield and disappeared. Later DNA tests identified his as a missing CIA analyst and security videos show that he was being chased. A second plot involves agent Griffin Hammersmith, who is on R and R in Gaffers Ridge, Virginia, visiting friends. As he is walking around the area, he receives a desparate mental scream for help and he bursts into a house just in time to rescue Carson DaSilva who claims to have been kidnapped by the sheriff’s nephew. She knows that the nephew was involved in the disappearance of three local teenage girls, but cannot prove how she know since she overheard him thinking about them. There are many twists and turns to these stories and they have nonstop action!
Good read. I laughed through most of the beginning of this book. It couldn’t be helped. I like these characters and the plot of this book. The characters are why I keep buying this series. Looking forward to reading the next installment.
It had been ages since I had ventured into the mind of this author with this being a temptation. Being a Sherlock fan this Sherlock is intriguing also. She opens a dilly of a mystery for us to follow when she and the intersection do the tango. Then special agent Griffin has his hands full with all sorts of things involving kidnapping as just one of them. Then he needs the aid of Dillon and away we all go. We are quickly spun into the raveling of this mystery with lies that must be pushed to see the truth. This will keep you going with more than one adventure but come out anytime soon will not happen. Well worth the trip and hope to visit again real soon.
This book had a few story lines going on that were both interesting. Sherlock is having memory loss from an accident and Savich is trying to help her while also working on two cases. One with Griffin Hammersmith in Gaffer’s Ridge, Virginia, where he had been going on vacation, and one in Washington. I loved how Sherlock trusted Savich and even though she didn’t have her memory so many things that she did were just what she would have always done. I found both stories compelling and kept me on the edge of my seat. I am looking forward to the next in this series.
I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from Gallery Books through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Like all of her books a great read.
This latest FBI thriller had just lost some of the regular thrill that I usually get from this series. There are two mysteries here: missing girls in a backwoods place with sheriffs who seem clueless and a CIA operative missing after running into Sherlock’s car and then running away. Sherlock is subsequently left without a memory, so that did add to the storyline. It was revealed early in the story who the villains were, but not the reason behind their crimes, so that was the focus of this book. I enjoyed the interaction between Savich and Sherlock as he tried to get her to remember him and their lives together. My favorite parts were the ones involving Agent Griffin and the Bodines and Griffin’s obvious superior intellect. Fans of Catherine Coulter’s FBI series will want to read this one and fans of thrillers will enjoy it.

I just finished this one. Her latest book in the FBI series! I love Savich, Sherlock and their son Sean. You become very invested in their characters- real people that you care about. This one was different because of the accident that Sherlock was in which resulted in amnesia which was very difficult for Dillon to handle. Good read for sure!
Another explosive installment in the FBI series that brings us Sherlock, Savich, and characters that are as rich as they are elusive. This story completely flips everything that we know about Savich and Sherlock’s relationship upside down through the lens of intrigue and conspiracy. Without getting too spoilery, it was a great reset to characters that craved some new dynamic. Coulter’s FBI stories are always tops on my list and this winding Labyrinth was no exception
How would you feel if something happened to you and you lost all your memory? You don’t know those around you. You don’t know where you are. You look in the mirror and see a stranger. You don’t know who YOU are! This is what happens to FBI Agent Lacey Sherlock. After a terrible car crash, Sherlock wakes up in the hospital with no memory of who or where she is. Her husband, Special Agent Dillon Savich, is struck by the realization that his “wife” is not his wife………for now. As time progresses, Sherlock discovers that she can “do” things automatically, like participating in an FBI investigation, but still not remember who she is.
Another story has Special Agent Griffin Hammersmith rescuing Dr. Carson DeSilva from a kidnapper. Adding a bit of the paranormal to the story, Griffin and Carson find they have a strange, uncontrolled but unique way to communicate with others. The pair then finds it hard to convince the Sheriff who the kidnapper is. It seems the Sheriff and half the town are related by blood, marriage, etc. to each other and to the kidnapper. They do not believe the story of Carson’s kidnapping. The two stories are cleverly intertwined, thus the title LABYRINTH.
The only problem I have with this and most of Catherine Coulter books is the number of named characters she introduces to a story. This may not be a problem for many, but for me I find it hard to determine which person is important to the main storyline and which may just be a minor player. This is why I rated the book 4 stars.
Savich and Sherlock are a favorite couple of mine. I love this FBI series and always look forward to the next book. Although this is # 23, it is a stand-alone book in that you will understand what is going on even if it is the first book for you. This is a real thriller, mystery and great reading entertainment. It is hard to put the book down once you start reading it.
So glad that Catherine Coulter is continuing to add to this series. It is like coming home to an old friend. Another great read from this amazing author.
I love this author she can’t write a bad book
Great book – hard to put down
Her books just keep getting better and better.
I love Sherlock and Savich FBI stories! The adventures are never ending.Catherine Coulter has another winner in this book!
