Shop keeper by day, badass demon fighter by night. Grace’s life isn’t really that complex until the day Kurt sweeps into her supernatural store. Handsome, talented, and with an ego the size of China, he’s a handful, but no more than she can handle. He just needs an attitude ‘adjustment’.Chicago, on the other hand, has more trouble than either of them can deal with, and if they don’t get to the … get to the bottom of this sudden influx of demons, the whole city will be at risk.
Kurt is the best and brightest of The Brotherhood’s elite corps and Grace packs a punch that nobody expected, but even combined will they be enough to save the city?
A slow-build-RH adventure! For readers who are 18+.

Fantastic story! From the very beginning, there was so much action going on. Although, there is a really slow burn, it was worth it! Grace is legit the best. She is a complete badass and one I would NOT want to mess with. Kurt is so damn sexy but his arrogance…it was a bit laughable. This was the first story I’ve read from Jade Thorn, I would totally read more!
This is going to be an amazing series! This first book drew me in and left me desperately wanting more! Grace is an amazing character! This story has action, mystery, and passion! Can’t wait to read the rest!
Definitely a must read!
I always have trouble getting lost in a story when is not writing in first person, but the characters have enough interactions with each other that I was being pulled into their world.
At one point the author kept me in suspense, and it seriously gave me goosebumps with everything that was happening
The ending was something I definitely wasn’t expecting…… I lol
Which I don’t think is the ending to Kurt & Grace’s story…….. Can’t wait to read Grace’s Guys and Levi’s Fury.
Great story with complex world building and character development. This was an excellent start to a series and I’m definitely on the hook for the next book. I need to find out what happens after the bathroom scene at the end. Lol. So much action and drama and although it’s “slow burn” that didn’t mean it wasn’t steamy AF. Can’t wait to move on to the next in the series.
Loved this first book in Jade’s new Brotherhood series!
How did I miss this in my TBR?
No need to rehash the blurb. The initial love hate relationship as Kurt rubs Grace the wrong way is fun to read. Witches, unknown powers, mayhem and demons, lots of action and ichor. Add Levi and Elliot’s interactions, this is shaping up to be a fabulous series.
No cliffhanger, it could be read as standalone. I’m off to grab the next available books. This needs more than five
This book is awesome and addictive! Once I picked it up, I could not put it down! Grace is an amazingly badass FMC and Kurt is one arrogant and sexy man! The storyline is well written and very interesting! Don’t miss out on this one! I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
There was a lot of world building in this book, and it really pulls you into the story. Kurt is arrogant and he underestimates Grace but his attraction to her is instant, but she doesn’t put up with his macho rubbish, she sets him straight many, many times. They have to work together to stop the influx of demons which only increase the attraction. There are lots of other great characters in the book too.
There’s arrogance and then there’s confidence. Kurt is certainly an arrogant man, thinking he’s God’s gift to women and the demon fighting force, but Grace is pure confidence. Confident about her abilities that seem to get misjudged even when seen in action. She’s seriously THE BEST female character I’ve ever read. She’s not weak, she’s sassy and smart mouthed, intelligent, and she doesn’t let people boss her around or undermine her. She knows her worth. I know that I’m going to enjoy this series simply because of her. Other than her awesome character, this book had so much to it that you will love! Action, love, tension, magic, and mystery are all wrapped into this one book. The storyline is amazing (you know it’s going to be a good one if the author plans 8 books and 2 novellas) and instantly captivates you. There’s so much going on, but it all flows nicely and you’re never confused about what happens from one event to the next. One of my favorite books that I’ve read so far this year.
