He realizes that your sins always find a way to catch up with you, no matter how hard you try to run.

This is a creepy story. If you like an interesting horror story this is a good book to read.
What a creepy hotel. Makes the Bates motel seem like a night in Disney land. (My personal nightmare.)
Book is a real page turner. Definitely enjoyed reading
Not bad interesting idea.
Great characters and set up for the next book.
Different kind of horror story for me. It was mostly pretty good but found myself skimming ahead in places. But I think it should be read to form your own opinion.
This book came with high marks but I really couldn’t see the thrill. I was disappointed.
The Kurtain Motel is definitely not a place you want to spend the night, especially if you have a guilty conscience. Patrick Lahm is a writer who gets stuck here during a rainstorm, along with several other people. When ghostly scenes and auditory hallucinations start affecting the people at the Kurtain, how long can they last before they “Confess!”.

This is the second book I’ve read by AI Nasser, and his style of horror is rather refreshing. The storylines are not the same old haunted house or serial killer, but are nuanced enough to make the reader feel that they’ve discovered something new. Nasser’s characters, while not fully developed, are real enough to allow the reader to like, love or hate them. The story’s pace, while uneven at times, is rapid enough to keep the reader’s blood pressure near the red line. Nasser’s use of flashbacks to explain the characters’ sightings was written much smoother than other uses of this style I have read recently. Nasser is an author whose works I will be looking to continue to read.
This was a great book . I recommend it to everyone.
predictable
It’s a good story, but a lot of it is left unexplained.
It is a dark twisted read.
This book keeps you reading. The characters are interesting and they will remind you of people you actually know in real life. They are all flawed in some way with secrets to hide. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
Good read
Weak ending.
Too slow out of the starting blocks. It never really grasped my attention and is one of the few books I haven’t finished after reading about half of it.
The beginning wasn’t bad, it was really pretty good. Then the character switches came so fast it was hard to keep them separate. Before I knew it, the book was over. I would call this a novella at best.
The Eagles, Hotel California is a fitting song for this book. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is kinda where the author A.I. Nasser got the idea. It’s about a small hotel in the middle of nowhere, something is at the motel that is bringing peoples sins alive and haunting the residents until all hell breaks loose in their psyche.
Can they figure out what is going on before everyone dies or goes crazy?
It’s a pretty good book, I enjoyed reading it. The characters are well balanced and the author does a good job going into their backgrounds enough for you to know what is going on with them. I only found one spelling mistake where “would” was used instead of “wouldn’t”. Other than that the story was gripping, and kept me enthralled throughout the entire novel.
However, it almost seemed to me like the author had intended to end the book and was heading towards a definite ending, but then was told or realized that it could be stretched out into more books. I had a inkling about who/what was behind the situation, but at the very end a lame “ending” ruined that possibility branching the story off in a another direction for a open ending instead which didn’t really make sense. I don’t know, maybe in the next book it makes more sense about what happened, but as of now it appears stretched out on purpose.
For the most part, the story was ok. It wasn’t terribly scary, but it kept me reading. The narrator did a good job of differentiating between the various characters, with only a few minor slips. I wish I could give this book a higher rating, but unfortunately, there are massive holes in the story. One character’s sin was never revealed, while three other were never completely explained. The best character in the story was killed “off screen”, while another lost their mind with no explanation given. I even checked the e-book to make sure there wasn’t just a glitch in my audiobook, but sure enough, they matched. I don’t know if it’s laziness or inexperience on the author’s part, but I really hope the rest of the series is better.
