A glistening, golden, alien body. The hard muscles of an alien warrior. Two horns from his head. And the best part? That’s not all he has two of… getting involved in when I agreed to be his mate.
I knew of the Kilgari. But I really didn’t know much about them.
Let’s just say I’m both excited but I’m gonna be taking some very deep breaths to prepare myself.
I mean…can you imagine the possibilities?
Sure, there’s more to my fated mate than just his two…things.
He’s fiercely protective.
He takes charge and makes sure that I’m taken care of.
All his focus is on me.
Every single moment of his is to make sure I’m safe. Comfortable.
And happy.
I guess what they told me at the Companion Academy was true in the end.
Too much of a good thing isn’t bad.
It’s wonderful.
Kurg is the sixth book within the Brides to Beasts series set in the Athenaverse. It can be read as a standalone, but it shares the same universe that you’ve found in other books. This book features a romance of an alpha male alien warrior, a smart, sassy human woman. Expect to see characters you’ve come to love pop in during the story. No cheating and HEA guaranteed!

If you have read any of the books in this series you know
that you are going to find it hard to put down.
Right from the start I was hooked.
The plot is well thought out and interesting.
There’s some fun parts to it but still has other ingredients
to it that kept my attention.
The characters are very likable.

great read
Great Story! This was an enjoyable read—filled with unexpected romance, danger, and intrigue. Ashley was a bit over the top in that she was the ultimate cause of all the danger that befell her and Kurg. The romance was cute in that Kurg was clueless as to how to woo a human female even though she was trained as a companion. There were a few laugh-out loud moments—especially when Kurg wanted to buy flowers and chocolate for Ashley. This is another great story penned by one of my favorite authors. Kurg is book six in the series Brides to Beasts by author Athena Storm. LOVED THIS BOOK!! Sassy, a bit brass and definitely made for him. The Companions got this one hook line and sinker. Unshakable, two horned(in more ways then one), maybe a bit closed off- has met his….. well I could say his everything. And I wouldn’t be lying.
Action packed scenes, suspenseful twists and deliciously decadent moments!
Enjoy!!

Kurg: A SciFi by Athena Storm is the sixth book within the Brides to Beasts series set in the World of the Athenaverse we so love. This story involves a romance between Kurg, an alpha male alien warrior and Ashley, a smart, sassy human woman. It’s a fantastic story, I love the characters and the intriguing banter these two have. There’s action, humor, lustful, steamy scenes and peeks of other past characters. I fully enjoyed reading this adventure and I would definitely recommend it

Ashley completed companion training but decided on a career outside of that, something she was truly passionate about…. hover bikes! Unfortunately, when a mega chain opens up near her, her business goes bust leaving her in debt where she feels her only option is to pursue her training and become a companion. She gets matched with Kurg who is a Kilgari and has joined the Barakus Academy on Felora VI where he is hazed by his fellow recruits and is not happy about it (although to be fair I think his attitude contributed to the problem). He decides to get himself a companion which will allow him to move off base. The two have instant chemistry and the first time they kiss Kurg realises that Ashley is his fated mate. Unfortunately the two run afoul of a spoilt little brat who has more money and power than brains. The characters are perfectly crafted and the story has tonnes of passion, danger and excitement.

This was a wonderful book. It was an intense sorry of love, passion and adventure. Let’s not forget the touch of intrigue. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Kurg wants to move out of the barracks to put an end to the endless pranks that are directed at him. The only way for him to live off base while training I’d to have a companion, this is where Ashley comes in. Ashley was trained as a companion but followed a different career path but has to return to being a companion because of debt she needs to pay off. I loved the chemistry between them. They are likable couple and are great together. It would be amazing to see Kurg and Ashley as parents as well as the other couples in this series…hint. hint Athena

Kurg seems immature with pranks and jokes. He meets Ashley because she is a bike mechanic. His needs to be fixed. She is the woman for the job. She attends Companion school to find a mate. Somehow he is paired with her when he was a mate in order to. I’ve off campus. How they make it work is funny and worth the extra time to wait for them to meet. They are characters to destined to find trouble and the good things in life like villains and taking one for the team. No cliffhanger

His Companion
Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2020
ADULT Sci-fi Romance and Adventure in the continuing saga of life in the vast Athenaverse,
It takes a while for this book to get going and the two main characters to even meet! Kurg and human woman Ashley, finally meet about 25% into the book.
Kurg is a Kilgari cadet at a military training facility. He’s a seven foot tall, golden skinned hunk of man meat with horns He has been the brunt of pranks throughout the training, especially at night in The barracks.
If he gets a human companion, he can move off the base, ending the pranks. Ashley is a trained companion, but only after she owned a hover bike repair shop for a few years. She knows all about hover bikes and how to fix them and modify them to make them faster.
Kurg has a rare, older hand made model hover bike, and the same day they meet, Ashley wants to start modifying it! Well at least they have that in common.

I also got this ebook with KU.
The story is written in first person with dual points of view. Not my favorite. This is the first book by Author Stormthat I was disappointed in. There isn’t really a lot happening in the book, it all takes place on the same planet. No space battles, no ship crashes, etc. The story didn’t wow me like her others did.
Kurg is having difficulty fitting in to the dorm life at the military training facility. One of the other cadets has been allowed to live outside the campus because he has a Companion, so Kurg decides this is what he needs. Ashley has been put out of business by the big corporations, so she goes back to the Companion school in order to pay off her debts. They match her with Kurg. She is human and he is an alien with very unique assets. Great read!
