Waking up in med bay with temporary amnesia is terrible. But Melachine is managing to live through the trauma of memory loss with the help of her doting mate, Kroga of Seventy-Five. He’s vowed to love her with unspoken devotion until days turn into time. And he has. He so has. She’s desperately attracted to this sexy warrior, happily sharing his bunk, and living with him (and their kittens) in the … their kittens) in the Swirl. He’s told her why they’re hiding on the edge of the universe and why they have to keep their whereabouts secret, but she can’t seem to remember…
And then one day a flood of shattering memories invades Melachine’s mind, wiping away the amnesia and turning her world upside down with the blazing light of knowledge. She’s left standing shakily on the bridge, realizing nothing is as it seems.
Everything Kroga told her was a lie.
But does that include his love…?
Author’s Note: This second chance romance is more enjoyable if read as the culmination of the Alien Bounty Hunter series arc.

Sadly, this is the end of this line of the series, I think this is the only series that I have actually gone back and re-read on purpose. This is the final installment, an ending for the saga of the parents of the other couples we’ve met in this series. I am sad to think that the other couples, the human girls in the Swirl don’t follow this line, but I know that they have their own series in The Swirl. As an endcap, this story wraps up many of the dangling pieces, but it’s still difficult to know that we’ve gone as far as has been written so far in this line of interconnected stories. I’ll continue to try to get through all of the books in Michele Mill’s catalog, but I know that it will take a while, it’ll totally be worth it!
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength. The story of love of sensation. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

While this works as a stand-alone you’ll appreciate it much more if you read the series in order. We’ve met Melachine and Kroga previously—they’ve been in each story in the series but this is their story. Ties up all the loose ends nicely and brings closure to the series. I don’t think you’ll actually enjoy this if you don’t read the stories in order. There is a lot of backstory that you’ll gather throughout the previous books. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
This was a wonderful book. It didn’t seem rushed. This was sweet and steamy, full of romance and passion with great characters that were interesting enough to draw you in.
The final scene between Kroga and his mate was tense and powerful
by sewsummore
This is the final book in the series, Kroga and kidnapped his mate and travelled the dangerous journey to the four sectors in an attempt to hide from the Hurlians who wanted him and his mate dead after their mind control device failed. During their escape Melachine had been struck by a falling beam and she suffered an injury causing amnesia. She had forgotten him and their life together. When a chanced comment releases those memories she realizes her mate has lied to her the whole time. This is the story of his redemption and the love of a son who finally found the truth. My heart felt the sorrow Kroga felt when his mate lashed him with her scorn and the pain Melachine felt when her mate was convicted of treason and her sons banished. The final scene between Kroga and his mate was tense and powerful as they move into each others arms, and let the past die to forge a new future for themselves and their family. A fitting end to a fantastic series.

OMG! What a fitting ending to this series.
A case of writer’s burnout?
It’s sad. Michele Mills is one awesome storyteller, and a darned good writer to boot. I’ve enjoyed the Alien Bounty Hunter Series – up until Kroga’s Redemption. Kroga’s, the scorned traitor and banished Xylan warrior, went from hero to zero when he supposedly betrayed the Xylan and nearly cost them their empire, their homeworld, and their highly valued honor. His wife and sons were banished too, which is how they ended up as Bounty Hunters. This was to be the thrilling climactic story that explains it all – but it isn’t, and it doesn’t. How Kroga came to be a traitor? Explained away in a few paragraphs. The evidence exonerating Kroga? Turns out it was there all along, easily dug up by his determined Bounty Hunter son. (I think it was Kayzon. but but since Kayzon and Kroga mysteriously exchange names for a few paragraphs, it probably doesn’t matter. Cripes, even the editing is lackadaisical!) Why nobody bothered to seek out that evidence before Kroga’s trial and conviction? Ms.Mills ain’t sayin’. The conveniently miraculous way his sons find and retrieve their mother, Melachine? Courtesy of a nameless alien deus ex machina, later conveniently disposed of. The only deets available in this story are the ones about Melachine’s and Kroga’s strenuously boring sex life, and their inconsequential kittens. Both protagonists are eerily devoid of genuine emotion, all the characters feel like cardboard cutouts, and it is obvious from page one through the lukewarm and predictable HEA that the author is SO DONE with these people. Skip this one, and you won’t have missed a thing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Melachine is managing to live through the trauma of memory loss with the help of her doting mate, Kroga of Seventy-Five. This book was written so beautifully I really enjoyed the interaction between both characters. The inner struggle that takes place between Kroga and his mate is tough truths will be revealed choices will have to to be made. This was a great edition to the series.

What a way to end. The story of Melachine and Kroga. Kroga, kidnapped Melachine and takes her to the Swirl to hid. On the way she’s injured and loses her memories. She finally remembers her memories and she is upset by her circumstances and all the lies. This has a wonderful HEA and ending to the series. I absolutely loved it! While I’m sorry the series had to end, this was an epic way to wrap it all up. I really am a romantic at heart, and I personally need the HEA. This delivered it beautifully. I have felt for Melachine from the start. And maybe we didn’t quite give Kroga a chance. So, no spoilers here. I will just say that this is a must read for anyone who has followed the ABH’s.

It was nice to close the series with Kroga and Melachine’s story. As the parents of Rayzor and Kayzon it was necessary to give these two the HEA they deserve. With the Hurlian mind control failing on Kroga after 14 years, he knew his captors were going to kill both him and his mate in an attempt to cover up their part in his actions.
Kroga kidnapped Melachine and took her to the Swirl to hide. She was injured on the long and dangerous journey and lost her memories from a brain injury. When she learned too much of her past while she was healing, she would pass out and require medical treatment for several days. The story is about these two finding their way back to each other through misunderstandings, reunions and danger.

Book seven in the Alien Bounty Hunters series a well written story that kept me turning pages. I enjoyed reading Melachine and Kroga of Seventy-Five’s story. So much has happened to Kroga in the last fifteen years and most of it not of his free-will, now Melachine is with him again but she has lost her memory. Will these two remember the love they had for each other? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve gobbled up every one of the books in this series from the beginning, and if it has to end, Kroga’s Redemption is a good endcap. From the beginning, we’ve followed Kroga and Melachine’s story through their sons’ and their compatriots’ eyes. Now we finally get their end story. And it’s an exciting one starting with amnesia, love, betrayal and cats. I hope that as more stories are written in this universe we will continue to get snippets of how the extended family are faring!
Melachine of Eighteen woke up in the medical bay with a case of temporary amnesia caused by a brain injury, unable to remember most of her life. Kroga of Seventy-Five, a Xylan Warrior and her mate, vows his love for her, and explains why they are hiding out in the Swirl, living in isolation on an outdated recycling facility in a harsh, remote corner of the universe. But she keeps forgetting the reason. She was startled to see herself in a mirror – she was much older and had graying hair, feeling that this was not how she should look. She wished she was still young enough to have children. Something just felt missing. Kroga looked uncomfortable whenever she mentioned it. So he told her once again about their two grown sons that she couldn’t remember. She tried to remember, then passed out in another coma and woke again in the med bay.
Alone on the bridge, Melachine gets an incoming call from her friend, Megan. When Melachine admires her baby and jokingly says she needs nose ridges, Megan laughs and mentions her cousin whose children have three Xylan fathers – and Kroga knew them! She got a sharp pain in her head, but suddenly more memories start to come in! When all of her memories come back, she knows everything she has been told has been a lie! And maybe the love Kroga vowed to her was also a lie?
This is a good story with a touch of mystery to keep the reader intrigued. How will Melachine separate the truth from the lies? Is she in danger? Will Kroga be able to help her understand?
Finally kroga’s book, I like her writing very much. It was a good book like always. Steamy romance, nice little story, would love a longer book.
