What an absolutely thrilling read Kristoff is!
Ms. Stone gives the reader one intense dark gripping story.
My heart was racing throughout the book.
The writing is very well done.
The author wrote the darkness this plot needed very well.
Anything less would have not been believable nor true to the theme.
Magdalena finds herself in a very bad situation.
She’s abducted, she will be trained to please then sold to the highest bidder.
Magdalena goes through horrific experiences.
Not only is she a victim of sexual slavery. She’s caught in war between father and son.
The one responsible to train her is Kristoff.
He’s the son of a man who deals in human trafficking.
Kristoff is the perfect antihero.
His world is dark and dangerous. He’s not a good man nor pure evil.
The sexual tension and chemistry between them is undeniable.
There are scenes that are sizzling hot and others that are extremely heartbreaking and gut wrenching. But that’s the world of this ugly trade.
Then the turn this book takes is jaw dropping about absolutely stunning!
Perfit fit for the Blaire World.
To start off, I liked this book a lot. I liked the plot, the characters, the writing, & while there were some extremely dark (triggering) & graphic non con sex/violence I did not find this story as DARK as many in this genre. Again, the non-con & violence portions were VERY EXTREMELY DARK & TRIGGERING but somehow I never got as chilling a vibe from Kristoff (anti-H) as I expected to. I found Magdalena’s (h) character very compelling & admirable, & I liked her a lot.
But I found this story (IMO) would plunge briefly (& graphically) into violent & brutal sexual non-con but then would become much less dark & frightening.
That too, I never really found Kristoff to be an overwhelmingly terrifying person. He did have the one torturous encounter with Magdalena in his bedroom but after that he was conflicted & unsure, which he should have been but it seemed to come too fast IMO. That was another thing, everything related to Kristoff seemed rushed, Magdalena’s character had foundation & her emotional defiance & grit followed by shock then horror then shutdown, all felt they progressed in a natural & smooth order while Kristoff’s character seemed in move in fits & starts, jump from one emotion to the next without a smooth transition. And again, despite the horrific act he subjects Magdalena to, I just never felt a chill when it came to him.
HOWEVER, despite my feelings about Kristoff’s character, I did like the plot, the writing, the characters (Dr. Morrow especially was a kind & gentle touch) & read the story in one sitting.
This story is dark with very triggering events (for some), non-con sex, violence, a shocking twist, mystery & love. A very well written capture romance that will have you rooting madly for Magdalena to not only survive her capture but against all odds escape & maybe, just maybe, experience a HEA . . . .
This is an intense dark and brutal story which keeps you on the edge of your seat with a bit of a twist in the tail!! but dont worry is has a HEA!!
I started 2019 with an ARCs of Blaire’s World and let me tell you I don’t regret signing up for the arc. This book is a must read. You definitely need to have this baby in your library. You will neither regret reading this book nor be disappointed. From the very first page till the end this book takes the reader on a rollercoaster ride full of emotions. From having mixed feelings about the characters till curiosity to know more, this book contains all the elements to grab the attention of the reader. Dark, attention seeking, this book has it all.
Once again the fabulous Maesha has nailed it with this beautiful masterpiece
Magdalena is a young journalist working on a dangerous story that ends up putting her life in jeopardy. She doesn’t realize how vulnerable she is until she finds herself locked in a cage at the mercy of Kristoff, the son, of the man she is investigating. What happens when the only person you can trust is the one who was sent to break you? This story is filled with lies, betrayal, torture, and revenge and it will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how it all will end.
This was a great Blaire’s world novella! It was dark and I loved it!
I am a massive fan of Blaire by Anita Gray so I was so looking forward to reading this as part of Blaire’s World and it really didn’t disappoint, it’s dark and one scene in particular made for hard reading but on the whole it was good, so good. Loved Magdalena and eventually loved Kristoff (not straightaway and you’ll see why) good storyline, great character development and my personal fave, a happy ending with room for a further story perhaps? My first read from this author and it’s a five star read from me
Where do I begin? I hated this book because it ended to soon (atleast for me. Lol) but, I absolutely love, love, loved Kristoff and Magdalena’s story. Magdalena went through hell and back at the hands of Kristoff’s Dad and his men but, she was survived and that showed how strong she was. Talk about twisted and dark. I loved this book so much, I stayed up all night reading it not wanting to stop until I was finished. So steamy and page turning good. Measha does it yet again with another amazing read!
