Welcome to Earth. Try not to die. When his brethren begin to discover human mates, Krayter knows his best chance at surviving the Denya Price is to journey to Earth and find the woman he’s been waiting for. Otherwise, he’ll waste away and die by the age of thirty like most other Detyens. But when his speeder crashes in a hostile human settlement, a mate is the last thing on his mind. Until he … his mind. Until he sees his salvation.
Abandoned. Neglected. In trouble.
Penny will do anything to protect her two sisters, even if it means remaining in Highland Settlement, the anti-alien town that her father rules with an iron fist. But when an alien crash lands near her house, she knows that she can’t let her father’s men find him. Something about the intriguing blue man calls to her and she will not let him die.
A journey into something more.
The pull of the alien stranger is so strong that Penny has only one choice: kiss him or go mad. Krayter will do anything to earn his mate’s trust and her love. And Penny’s heart threatens to melt every time the sexy blue alien sends her one of those scorching looks from his heated red eyes. But her father will stop at nothing to get his daughters back and Penny must face an impossible question.
How can she keep her sisters safe and keep Krayter for herself? And if she can’t have both, how will she survive the sacrifice?

I absolutely love this series about the Detyen warriors. As a Detyen nears his 30th birthday, he must find his Denya (mate) or he will die. There is an option to become soulless, extending their lives in a sort of emotionless existence where they carry out assignments for the Legion until they are “retired” (disposed of).
Krayter knows that the best way to locate his Denya is to go to Earth to look for his female. But his cruiser crashes in the settlement where they would immediately kill an alien. Krayter is found and rescued by two sisters whose older sister, Penny, realizes she had to get him away right now. Something about the intriguing blue man calls to her and she will not let him die.
With no other choice, Penny, Krayter, and her sisters head out to try to reach a safe place. Krayter and Penny are responding to the mate instinct and feel the attraction. But what will Krayter do when Penny and one of her sisters are captured by their crazed father?
Another great addition to the Detyen Universe
Krayter is a young alien male who’s lighthearted but a bit foolhardy. Penny is a young, strong minded woman who’s been raised by her father to hate all aliens. A surprising match, but together the make a great, if unconventional team. I’m really looking forward to Kayleb’s story – I just know it’s going to be a good one.
Another good read by Kate. I love her books especially these because there is so much going on. The poor Deyton’s have to find a mate by a certain age and they seem to be having good luck with humans. They have no home planet and females are hard to come by. I will continue to read all these books as they come out because there are still a few I would like to know what will happen to them. I can’t wait for the next adventure.

This was an awesome read that I thoroughly enjoyed and I highly recommend. The stories and characters pulled me in from the beginning and I couldn’t stop reading until I finished. If you love hot alpha alien males and the heroines they love with a hot and sexy romance then this book is for you. It’s an awesome book and a definite must read for any fan and I can’t wait to read more!!!

Loved the premise for this one! Alien Krayter crash lands in enemy territory; a human only area on Earth that is shoot to kill against aliens, but luckily for him, he finds some help from Penny. Human Penny has been raised to hate aliens, but she has a mind of her own and uses her intelligence to realize hate isn’t the way. Loved Penny’s strength, and that she stands up for herself and those she loves. Krayter is a sweetheart! Good chemistry between them; Love the whole Denya/Mate scenario too. Some good action! Fun and entertaining! I’ve really enjoyed every book I’ve read of Rudolph’s; one of my favorite alien romance authors, excited for more!
For me this book has an old fashioned feel to it, where the men are in charge and the women need to do as they are told. Penny is a strong if not belabored sister taking care of her younger siblings. Some of that protection is also in regards to their father who thinks of his female children as objects that he can control and do with what he pleases.
When Krayter runs amok of their protective fence he finds himself also falling under Penny’s protection. The people that work with her father would kill an alien with no compunction. The plan is to get her sisters and Krayter out from under her father’s watchful eye and some place safe for all of them.
Of course once Penny and Krayter meet the Detyen bonds kicks in and these two have to try and stave it off while trying to get Krayter out to meet his family. Penny is myopic when it comes to her sister, it seems “must protect them” was her mantra to the exclusion of common sense at times.
Once they hit the city it’s like stepping into the future and away from the very rural rustic setting that they just left. Once Krayter is reunited with his family several new wrinkles arise and then we have to wade throw a very preachy, feminist session to let the old males in the city know that women have rights too.
So while the relationship between Penny and Krayter was sweet, the rest of the story seemed to be a bit over the place for me.

Krayter crashes his cruiser in a hostile settlement. He is rescued by two teenagers. Their older sister, Penny, finds them in the shed. Penny isn’t sure what to do with him, she knows he will be killed by her father and his followers if he is found. When her father decides that her sisters need to be under his roof she determines that now is the time to escape and take her sisters. The four head out and try to get to their mothers compound in order to be safe. Krayter and Penny grow close. What happens when Penny and one of her sisters is kidnapped by their father? Must read to find out. A great story.

This was another fantastic enjoyable book in this brilliant collection. I loved reading Krayter and Penny’s story, characters I’ve met in other books briefly (I’ve not read the Detyen books in order). Both Krayter and his brother Kayleb are in the previous book.
This had a great storyline that captures your attention and engages you, with likeable imaginative characters that you become invested in.
I haven’t get read Kaylebs story and I’m looking forward to it.
This can be read as a standalone, however for background information I’d recommend reading the others.

Penny thinks if she could get out of the village she would be better off. Penny takes care of her two sisters because of her father does not want anything to do with them unless it is to his good. Now would be time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author.
After crashing, Krayter is taken hostage by two young girls and later released by their sister, Penny. Needing to escape the settlement Penny and her two sisters start out helping him find his way back to his brother in New York and at the same time escape their father. Krayter realizes Penny is his mate and he sets out to win her love. Danger is lurking and Penny and Resa are captured. The story is full of drama, danger and romance. It is a great read and I would highly recommend it.
I’ve enjoyed the Deyten fated mates series. They always involve stong women and loving, respectful men on an adventure where they must learn to trust and love one another. Penny and her sisters are self sufficient, caring, women who risk their lives to escape their father and save an alien, that just happens to be Penny’s fated mate. Well written, fun, fast read.

This book is part of a series. I haven’t read the book before this one but it was easy to read, is well written and a great storyline. This is a fated mates book with a happily ever after. The chemistry between the two leading characters was out of this world. And despite the odds being against them, they work together and come out the other side mated and happy.

This is a great addition to this series. The characters in this series are all amazing love to hear about them and to get a new exciting adventure. The storyline was interesting with lots of action and adventure with a little alien romance on the side. Great read from start to finish.
Not everyone on Earth is happy about all the aliens who have arrived, and they have moved out into armed settlements. Penny and her sisters live near the compound, and she tries to keep the girls safe and away from their father. Krayter was just out for a joyride when he wrecked in the river. Fortunately, he was rescued. Or is it fortunate? This tale of a Detyen and his Denya is tense and joyful at the same time!
This is book 5 in the series.
Krayter knows he is going to die if he does not find his mate in time. Penny lives in a settlement run by her father who hates aliens. Krayters ship crashes in the settlement and Penny rescues him. She knows she cannot let her father find him. Krayter knows she is his mate and needs to prove himself. We have drama,, suspense.
