She wants to be more than some alien’s mate… brimming with danger. Great.
He’s been waiting for his match forever…
Kraev has always wanted a big family, and he couldn’t be more excited about the mate on the way. His tattoos burn for the beautiful, curvaceous Earthling and he can’t wait to get her in his bed. But his mate isn’t happy to be there, and they’ve got bigger problems. The planet has been infiltrated by the Mahdfel’s biggest enemy, the Suhlik.
Trying to survive with a brand new mate on this hostile planet is no easy feat. But where there’s a will, there’s way. Maybe even into Olivia’s heart.
Kraev is a standalone sci-fi romance novel set in the Warlord Brides Universe. It’s the first book in the Warriors of Rae series, with scorching hot, horned, blue aliens who will wrap their tail around you. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a HEA guaranteed.

Kraev: Warlord Brides by Sonia Nova is a great stroy that I have read. This is book number one in this great start to a brand new series and I have really enjoyed reading this story. I highly recommend this story to everyone who like reading about Sci-Fi and paranormal romance.

Olivia is planning on being a doctor, when she finds out she’s a blood match and is now maybe to Kraev ek-Tayn. And she is immediately transported to planet R-2841. As she arrives the Suhlik are attacking and Kraev has to rescue her and keep her safe. Love the romance and sex between these 2 and the ending fits.
3.5 stars
Pretty good. The main characters are likable and there’s quite a lot of action. I definitely have no problem reading more books from the series. Enjoy.
***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
I really enjoyed reading this story. I liked the outstanding world building, you get to see everything from both points of views, all the emotions, and the promise of a future with them.
When Earth was going to be attacked and plundered by the Suhlik, the Mahdfel warrior race came to the rescue. They made an agreement with Earth that they will continue to protect Earth from the Suhlik in exchange for brides. So every childless, single, health female will be tested for genetic compatibility for marriage with a Mahdfel warrior. If she is compatible, she is shipped immediately to her warrior wherever he is.
Olivia is a medical student, looking forward to several more years training when she is tested and matched. She is immediately sent to her warrior who is on a mining planet. Unfortunately she is sent in the middle of an attack by the Suhlik on that planet too. He is able to get to her when she teleports in and is able to get her to his ship to get to a safer place, but they are shot down. They get to spend some time together as they try to survive on this planet until they can be rescued.
Kraev is so happy to finally be matched with Olivia but the timing couldn’t be worse. He is part of the defense for the planet that has nothing to offer but this special ore found only here. He rushes to the teleport station to get her as an attack is going on all around them. The Suhlik want the planet for themselves for the ore, but haven’t made any real attempts before now. Why now when he finally gets his Bride?! He was able to get her out of the teleport attack to his fighter but they are attacked in air and they have to try to survive on this planet until they can be rescued by his friends while avoiding Suhlik.
It really sucks that she has to give up her life on Earth, but what she gets in the end is a male who will do anything for her, and that is something that you can’t find on Earth.

I want to say a few words because I really loved this story by Sonia Nova. Kraev had just the right amount of everything. Kraev is a worthy male and warrior who protects his mate with excellence. He’s also one of the sweetest Mahdfel warriors I’ve read. Olivia was training to be a doctor on earth and wanted nothing to do with the mate program. She is matched to Kraev and arrives in a war zone. I loved all of the action and how it caused Olivia to bond with Kraev that much faster. Kraev’s story has just the right amount of steamy times, action, and wonderful characters! Loved it! Is Zevyk next?! 5 stars
This was a terrific book. Lots of action and wonderful characters. If you like this book, you will also enjoy the series starting with Mate of the Beast!
Fast-paced adventure in outer space from the word go!
A rollicking, danger-filled adventure romance, this story was full of breathless action sequences from the moment human heroine/doctor-in-training Olivia is zipped off to her new Mahdfel mate’s duty station on a desolate mining colony planet. The hero is a giant pussycat with his new mate, seasoned pilot and warrior when the arch enemy Suhlik lizard troops attack and threaten his new-found happiness.
With lots of nail-biting battle scenes interspersed with some heated intimacy, there is something for lovers of both romance and classic space wars drama with good pitted against evil. And a really well-deserved, happy conclusion.

I enjoyed reading this book, it has a great storyline. There is lots of action, intrigue and the chemistry and interaction between the characters of Olivia and Kraev is great. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE copy to read and I voluntarily this this review.
This story was very enjoyable to read. I found the romance between Kraev, a Mandrel soldier who found out he has been matched and Olivia ,a medical student who life is change because of being matched and all their trials a delight to read. Kraev and Olivia our main characters, the romantic scenes, the description of the universe, aliens and battles were well written in this romance. Overall I would put them on my list for Alien Romances to read. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Booksprout.
This story is about Olivia and Kraev. Their romance was romantic, had plenty of action and a sweet and sexy alien warrior. It seems that Olivia wasn’t quick to like all that was happening to her when she was transported to Kraev but soon learned to love him. I love this series and can’t wait for the next book to come out. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a great start to a new series. You get drama, suspense, twists and turns, emotional situations, excitement, surprises, intrigue and so much more. Here she is training to be a doctor and because of a test all women have to take she is off to a planet to be a bride to an alien she doesn’t know. And a planet she has never seen. Her hot alpha alien can’t wait for her to get there but she isn’t so excited to be going as her life got turned upside down. Here is where a lot of danger and adventure come in. I recommend it. Very enjoyable read. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Book one in the Warriors of Rae series a well written story and I know I want to read the next book. This is human Olivia who is working towards being a doctor when she gets told she is the mate to Mahdfel warrior Kraev on the mining planet R-2841. The story has suspense, drama, danger, courage, new friends, and romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It has been quite a while since I’ve read such an enjoyable, entertaining alien romance & it is a splendid start to a new series. The story-line & plot is well-written & interesting with some unconventional circumstances, the world building is outstanding. The characters are well-developed & likable, they portray realistic emotions according to the situation they currently find themselves in.
There is: a young human female medical student (Olivia) with dreams of becoming a doctor is dismayed when she is matched & transported to a Mahdfel Warrior (Kraev) on the planet (R-2841), various kinds of aliens, friendship, memories, compatibility testing, disbelief, unhappiness, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, drama, adventure, action, threats, danger, enemies, attacks, conflict, violence, confrontations, devious plans, evacuations, loyalty, compromises, happiness, contentment, love, some steam & a delightful conclusion. I look forward to future books from this author.
This is a cute story with two cute characters. While not a full sugar overload it did have a certain saccharin sweetness to it.
Olivia is single and any single childbearing women can be matched to a Mahdfel warrior. She is studying to be a doctor and if she really wanted to have a different outcome she could have made a fake marriage to get her out of the matching. A small note when you are in medical school and are out seeing patients with another Dr. you are referred to as Dr. not as a young woman. You worked hard for that accolade you sure want to be recognized for it.
Olivia did have a spine and was able to stand up and protect herself and others when things went sideways. However in regards to Kraev it seemed that she had to work really hard at being mad. It felt very forced as she had to remind herself continuously that she shouldn’t like anything about him and she should be mad. It was even more annoying when she went very shortly to not being sure she liked him to not being able to live without him.
Kraev was in typical puppy love overload, I have a mate and I must protect her at all costs no matter that we are in the middle of a military conflict. His solicitous behavior towards Olivia was pretty cute. Warlord warrior didn’t really see that.
For me this felt very high schoolish in terms of their almost starry eyed way in regards to their new relationship and the future. So while both characters are likeable and you want to see them get their HEA the wobbly plot and the almost gushy dialogue gave it more of a YA feel.

I seldom give 4*s. This is a story of a human who is forced by an agreement between her government and the aliens who saved earth, to become a mate to an alien across the universe. Olivia was a med student on earth when she came up for random genetic testing to see if she was a match to an alien. She was picked up without warning to go take the test. Within moments she learned she was a match. Immediately she is processed and put into a transporter and sent to another planet. No time to say goodbye or anything. Her family would be informed and each would get a portion of the million dollar settlement that the women are paid as recompense for taking their entire life from them. Hopes, dreams, family and friends. Olivia absolutely hates that this is happening because despite the propaganda she believes she’ll be nothing more than a sex slave used to make children. Kraev is her match. His response to the notification that his match has been found is pure unadulterated joy. He has no thoughts other than to worship his mate. As soon as he’s notified and as soon as she reaches the planet they are under attack. Kraev races back to base to find her. He arrives just in time to save her from the same aliens who attacked earth and who wants her new planet’s resources. After that it’s a wild ride. There is lots of action, passion, love and drama. Eventually Olivia realizes the propaganda is true and discovers that Kraev is nothing like she thought. They of course find their way to a HEA. The book was very enjoyable and I stayed involved. Editing was above normal for these types of books. While there was steam it wasn’t the whole story. The book was about the story not the sex. I liked the characters, they were well fleshed out for a book of this size which is novella length. If you’re looking for a good quick read I definitely recommend this book.

The Suhlik meant to enslave Earth and rob her of her resources. Only the Mahdfel warriors stood against them to protect Earth. In return for their help, the Earth government agreed that every childless, single, healthy woman would be tested for genetic compatibility for marriage with a Mahdfel warrior and, if matched, would be instantly teleported away to her new mate – wherever he was located.
Olivia Griffin is a medical student and, when she is tested for compatibility, she is matched to Kraev and teleported to his location, having to give up all her hopes and dreams. Unfortunately, she arrives in the middle of a Suhlik attack! Kraev, who is filled with joy about being matched to Olivia, is able to rescue her but, as they escape, they crash in the mountains. This actually is a good thing because they have the time to become more familiar with each other on the way to the base. Olivia starts to see that the rumors on Earth were not true – Kraev is not at all what she had expected. He is so much more!
Kraev has to leave the following day to help in the fighting. Again, the Suhlik attack and Olivia gets injured trying to protect friend. Kraev returns and is able to kill the Suhlik and take Olivia to a medical facility for treatment. Will the two of them finally be able to settle down in their marriage and have the HEA they need?
This was a very enjoyable book with a good story line and likable characters. Although the reason for the Earth women to be snatched away from everything they have known is an uncomfortable idea, their alien spouse is everything they could ever want as far as love, devotion, and loyalty go! As the reader gets to know the characters, it is quite easy to cheer for their success with each other. And there is one more surprise for Olivia that will fulfill her greatest desire! Grab your copy and enjoy a well-told story that just might be headed for a happy ending and more!
