Kozart Savage is the world’s biggest rock star. At twenty-five, he’s got it all. Money. Fame. And the adoration of fans everywhere. He thought that was enough to make him forget his past. Enough to transform his distrusting heart. Turns out that’s not how it works…Then he meets a bridesmaid hiding out in a hotel bar. Probably the only girl on the planet who doesn’t know who he is. But she seems … seems to be the one girl who can give him something no one else can.
College senior, Aubrey Prescott, is trying to escape humiliation. While drowning her sorrows in a hotel bar, she meets a handsome stranger. One who quickly makes her forget why she’s there. One who, after an unforgettable night, disappears without a second glance.
But you know what they say about things that disappear…

I love that Aubrey was a country music loving girl who happened to catch the eye of a rocker, and she was the last one to know. I liked that Kozart had her back from the beginning and that they were able to have new experiences together. I loved that they had an unknown shared connection in common, as well. Of course outside jealousy rears its ugly head and puts the two of them through the ringer. Loved this story!
The girl at the bar drew his attention immediately, it was only meant to be long enough to ask her if she was alright.
A dance later, the morning after the best sleep he ever had and the future looks alot more interesting.
She didnt know who he was initially. Sure he was hot, and kissed like a god but wasnt it all just an act.
Music talks, it conveys everything words alone cant. Can a passion for opposite ends of the scale meet in the middle?
Ohhh how I swooned and sighed happily, this book is full of sweet sweet hope and sometimes that’s all you need. Just one, little, tiny bit….
I’m not sure I can do this book justice with my words but ultimately I fell in love.
A strong, sassy, sarcastic girl, and an irresistible young man whos overcome so much.
Kozart and Aubrey are completely mesmerising and adorable in their own way. They will make your face ache from smiling, and your heart will soar in anticipation.
A beautiful story that we have all dreamt of more than once in our lives, now ready to read and its written in such a way that enough will never be enough.
Kozart is my first book by this author and it most certainly will not be my last as I absolutely loved this rockstar romance. The book had sweet, romantic moments with just the right amount of drama to keep the book interesting.
Kozart aka Z Savage is not your stereotypical playboy rockstar, which is one of the things that I loved about him. He had a difficult past that will pull at your heartstrings and the author does a great job showing how his childhood affects his ability to fully trust people. Aubrey is a smarty pants and full of sarcasm – both qualities that I love. She is a country music fan and doesn’t immediately know who Kozart is when she encounters him at a hotel bar the night of her sister’s wedding. Given that her boyfriend cheated on her at her sister’s wedding, she carefully guards her heart.
Kozart and Aubrey make a great couple and I enjoyed their flirtatious banter via text messages and in person as well as the sweet moments and the steamy moments between them. I also liked the secondary characters in the book and I would love for this author to give them their own stories. Overall, I really enjoyed this rockstar romance in that the characters were likable, the storyline was interesting, and the book moved at a good pace.
This was such a sweet and beautiful story. The characters were amazing and the chemistry was very well written. The build up was just right to keep me interested and wanting more from them. Even the side characters were all very likeable. I absolutely loved reading this story so much and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
I always love a Rock Star Romance and J. Nathan is one of my favorite go to’s for college romance. So this marriage of rock star AND college romance was an amazing one to me. Kozart is just tired of the groupies, of the parties, of the limelight, but he knows that it comes with the fame and fortune he has found as the lead singer of his famous band. When Aubrey crossed his path, all he wanted to do is make her smile never expecting that he would end up needing her in ways that would throw him off the track. Aubrey, for her part, has no clue who Kozart is….just that he swooped in and helped her when her ex cheated on her at her own sister’s wedding. Can this country girl steal this rock star’s heart? Or will she be left holding the bag when it seems there is no way that he can be faithful to just her? The music alone (you will want to listen to Kozart’s playlist for her) makes you want to just swoon. Navigating the waters that are the differences between these two and the fame that follows will not be easy…and we can only hope and pray that they have the strength to push for what they both want.
From the start instantly was drawn into this book. The quirky way they met. The way he actually pursued her. So different than normal and so fresh. It was sexy and fun and had depth. I really enjoyed it!
A fabulously, well written story between “Rock God” Kozart and a college senior Aubrey. They meet in a hotel bar during her sister’s wedding after she found her boyfriend cheating. He helped her get through the rest of the night and found that she helped him in a huge way too. Their connection is blazing hot yet she doesn’t want to get her heart involved and he “can’t make any promises”. He doesn’t want to stay away either. Their story is romantic yet heartbreaking. J. Nathan did a fantastic job with this book, pulled you in to feel all the emotions right along with the characters. A must read, in my opinion!
Kozart, a famous rock star, finds a beautiful girl dressed in a bridesmaid dress face down on the bar next to him. Aubrey is not drunk but humiliated. She just found her boyfriend of 3 years in the act with another bridesmaid at her sister’s wedding. Kozart takes Aubrey to the reception and does some dirty dancing and drinking. Like a gentleman he sees she gets back to her room safely and tosses her ex out of the room. He also helps her out of her dress and into bed. He also crawls in bed and sleeps all night for the first time in forever. She has no clue because she’s a country girl. Our rockstar has insomnia and finds he can only sleep if he’s in the bed with her or talking with her. After he leaves the next morning Aubrey finds out he’s a rockstar. Thus begins the relationship. Our rockstar has a sad past and never had anyone to love and trust. Warning…you will need tissues. This couple is fun, sarcastic, steamy and romantic. Even though I don’t normally read “rockstar books” I truly enjoyed this one and will read this author again.
Five Feel Good Stars!
What a beautiful story of finding your first love and fighting for them. For dropping walls, for changing your views and thoughts, for trusting someone and for fighting for your love.
Kozart and Aubrey are two characters you can’t help but root for. You can’t help but hope that through all the bullish!t that these two come out on top. That they both get their happily ever after.
What happens when a rock star falls in love with a regular college student. Well it isn’t easy and these two fight for their love.
Highly recommended.
*I was given a free advanced copy of this book through Net Galley in exchange for my honest and voluntary review. All thoughts and opinions are those of my own.*
This was an enjoyable 3 star read. It was an easy read with characters I liked but didn’t love .
Aubrey was a hard person to like because I never felt like I really knew her. At times she is all over the place, she was just really hard work. Kozart was my favourite of the two even if he infuriated me with some decisions he made.
As I said it was a nice story just not very memorable.
3.5 stars. I really enjoyed Kozart and Aubrey’s story. It was such a good mix of humor and heartache. Especially Kozart and his past. His character progression was great. I just had a problem with the plot point that caused the angst. It seemed pretty unrealistic and weak to me. Music fans don’t really care if the musicians are in a relationship. I’m just glad he finally came to his senses and realized he is allowed to live his own life.
Reading books has always been my passion ever since I was in grade school. However, it took a backseat for quite sometime; but, rekindled when I chanced upon and read the most awesome trilogy at that time. Since then, I was unstoppable. I’ve discovered a lot of authors whom I fell in love with and religiously followed. But only a chosen few really made an impact or has touched me deeply with their words and their stories. I can proudly say that Jen is one of them. I can’t really explain how her books create a mesmerizing effect on me but it made me read it over and over again. I can’t seem to get enough. Her words just speak to me straight to my heart. Her characters are relatable and the stories are so real. She never ceases to amaze me.
When I heard that Jen’s next book is about a rock star, I got SO EXCITED! I love to read about rock stars. They are on my top three favorite book boyfriends. Well, who haven’t dreamt of having a rock star or a singer to have as a boyfriend? Hhhmmm?! I do recall having large posters of my favorite bands pasted on my bedroom walls. Well, Kozart is definitely my kind of rock star I would love to stick on the wall along my bedside. I just fell head over heels in love with him instantly. I can’t seem to find the right words to describe how I felt while reading it or even after I read the last page. This book is just SIMPLY AMAZING!!! I had goosebumps and butterflies in my stomach. I was smiling and giggling most of the time and swooning like a teenager.
The synopsis already got me intrigued. I was immediately drawn to the book and literally got stuck and never wanted to let go from the moment Kozart asked Aubrey how she were when they met at a bar. I love the easy and natural flow of their conversation. There was already instant chemistry. The way Kozart helped Aubrey ease the pain of what her boyfriend did to her that night made my heart skip a beat. It was just so natural for Kozart to help somebody in need. From that time on, I was a goner. I couldn’t help but just fall deeper in love with Kozart as Aubrey also fell hard for him. I love how natural their relationship developed.
I love Kozart’s personality. He was so down to earth. He didn’t let his fame get into his head. He was so caring, loving and affectionate to Aubrey. His timing was always perfect. And talk about his surprises for Aubrey? Aaaarrrgghhh!!! I wanted to get into the book just so I can hug and kiss him for doing all those things for Aubrey. I haven’t been so excited reading something like that in a book. I know you can never say that somebody is perfect. But for me, Kozart is, indeed! A perfect rock star. A perfect gentleman. A perfect boyfriend. Just what Aubrey needed. Likewise, Aubrey’s personality is what I always love in my heroines. Besides her loving and caring nature, she was straightforward, strong, witty and always says what’s on her mind. Her being sassy is what I loved the most. Her bantering with Kozart was over the top hilarious and enjoyable. There was never a dull moment when these two were together.
Kozart is a book that I can easily recommend. I love the storyline. I, for one, can truly relate to it. The pain, as well as, the happiness Kozart and Aubrey felt were real. Though there were times when I wanted to shout at them to just say what’s on their minds; tell the truth, don’t assume, be true to yourself, and fight for each other. But, I guess the pain has to happen for true love and happiness to prevail. It was so hard to stop, to let go and move on coz I have grown so attached with Kozart and Aubrey. This book is definitely a MUST READ!
Thank you so much Jen for the ARC. Two thumbs up to you for a very captivating and overwhelming book!
What an amazing book! A girl finds out her doush bf is cheating and runs into a hot guy not knowing he’s a famous rockstar poses as her backup date for the wedding but when they do date can his celeb status hurt the credibility of him with her being so young? Will their love survive?
Kozart is a good read. Kozart is a rock star. It may look like he has it all but he missing some things. Aubrey found out his boyfriend is cheating on her at her sisteer’s wedding. While avoiding things is at the hotel bar. Kozart offers her a friendship she needs at the time. Aubrey likes country music so she has no idea who Kozart is. They are cute. They form a friendship. Aubrey has a hang up on trusting and who can blame her after her ex cheated. Kozart had me swooning but he did do some things I didn’t really agree with but he makes up for it. This one was a really good read and it’s one you should check out.
Aubrey and Kozart meet on one of the worst nights of Aubrey’s life, and one of the many bad ones of Kozart’s. There are definitely sparks, but they both know that the timing is all wrong. Or, so Aubrey thinks. Then she gets a call from the guy she thought she’d never lay eyes on again. What starts as friendship because of fears of broken hearts becomes so much more, but when everything Kozart has built his life around threatens to crumble if he doesn’t live up to others’ expectations, does he stay true to Aubrey or to everyone else?
Kozart and Aubrey both pulled me into this story from jump and refused to let me go. Kozart’s heart and determination to make his life what he wants with the woman he loves, as well as Aubrey’s strength and refusal to be a chump for ANYONE ever again, kept me enthralled until the very last page was read.
I loved Kozart which follows the story of Aubrey, who finds her boyfriend having sex with the other bridesmaid at her sisters wedding and Kozart, a rock star. Kozart bumps into Aubrey as she’s trying to drink away her embarrassment in the hotel where her sister’s wedding reception is. Drawn to her sarcastic, honest nature Kozart offers to be her date for the rest of the reception and Aubrey being a country music fan has no clue who Kozart is. The story follows the 2 of them and whether it’s possible to trust each other when they’re miles apart and lead very different lives. Really enjoyed the characters and book.
I liked the story, it flowed well, it had fun banter, steamy moments, and wonderful characters. Kozart is living the life of a rockstar, but the groupies, and being on the road is getting tiresome. Aubrey is a college student, she loves country music, and she just found out her longtime boyfriend has been cheating on her. Kozart meets this sassy girl, who has no clue who he is. He finds it so refreshing. You could feel the pull they had between them. The secondary characters were good too. Kozart is a great rocker romance story.
Love this study between kozart and aubrey . He had a terrible kidhood and she has been betrayed. They find such a beautiful connection. Great story
Oh, my heart!
Kozart Savage is a rock star, who has it all, money, girls, and all of the fame. Everything that could make him forget the past but doesn’t. Until one night he meets a certain bridesmaid at a bar. This girl is different from all the rest, especially since she has no clue who he is. And that turns his world upside down in the best way.
Aubrey Prescott is a college student stuck in a mess. She just found her boyfriend of three years cheating and she doesn’t know what to do. This year was supposed to be amazing especially since she is a senior. But When she seeks refuge in a bar she doesn’t expect to find a man who can make her forget everything with just one smile. He will make her reevaluate everything and open her heart again, hoping that she doesn’t regret it.
I fell in love with this book, it was so beautiful. It was honest and I loved the relationship between these two because like everyone else in this world they are just trying to find their way. This book is worth reading and it is the best one I’ve read recently. I could read this again and again.
REVIEW:
I received an ARC from the publishers via Netgalley.
Kozart, is a rocker, slow burn, stranger to friends, friends to lovers romance.
Kozart is a rocker that is getting burned out from the rocker lifestyle. One night after partying and getting little to no sleep, he decides to go to the hotel bar. That’s were he sees Aubrey, the bridesmaid that is laying on the bar top with pretzels on her face. Durning their bantering, Kozarts finds out Aubrey fiancé cheated on her at her sister’s wedding, with another bridesmaid. So Kozart being the nice guy he is helps her out and takes her back. They share a steamy kiss and Aubrey gets drunk, so she not dwelling on it. Kozart helps her back to her room, and stays the night, to make sure she ok, thinking he will never see her again. Aubrey finds out later on he got her number from her phone, because Kozart realizes something about Aubrey he just can’t let go.
The plot of this story was excellent. Kozart is a loner guy, had a real sucky past. Aubrey is sweet, but is hurt and has trouble trusting. The main character are realistic, and I had no trouble relating to. Their really was not one supporting character, that stood out. They had some, but this story was focus mainly on Kozart and Aubrey, which I loved. With others books sometimes the supporting characters shine brighter then the main. This is my first read from J. Nathan, and I tell you right now won’t be the last.
