But she seems … seems to be the one girl who can give him something no one else can.
College senior, Aubrey Prescott, is trying to escape humiliation. While drowning her sorrows in a hotel bar, she meets a handsome stranger. One who quickly makes her forget why she’s there. One who, after an unforgettable night, disappears without a second glance.

A sweet rock love story between the lead singer Kozart and a college girl Aubrey. When they met Aubrey doesn’t know who helped her through a painful night and make it better. Kozart has finally found a connection with a girl who doesn’t even know that he is famous so he tries to persuade her into a few dates. The attraction between them is strong and after knowing who he is, Aubrey takes a chance on Kozart and their relationship. But pressure from bandmates and manager is too strong and everything is ruined. Will Kozart see what really is important or will he let Aubrey go… I liked the story it is a little bit different than other rock star love stories. I didn’t feel like there is a lot of connection between the bandmates. Kozart was not so jaded and I liked that he cam to his sense in the end. Aubrey was a great character wit lovely personality and fits great with Kozarts.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
Really liked this rock star romance! I loved Kozart and Aubrey! Loved the banter between them and seeing their relationship grow. This is my second read by this author and I’m a fan and will continue to read J. Nathan.
Very well written rock star romance.
Kozart and Aubrey were a cute couple. Kozart has everything except the one thing he didn’t know he needed…love.
Aubrey had what she thought was love but that crashed.
They are quite possible just what each one needs.
Kozart broke my heart and put it back together again. I had so many feels for him during this book.
I would recommend this book. It was very good. It would be worth your reading time.
Kozart is an unusual name for an atypical rockstar. This bad boy rockstar meets his match in the unhappily hot yet inebriated bridesmaid. With a meet cute and ensuing hijinks that makes women everywhere cringe but also pump their fists in joy, Kozart and Aubrey will have you hoping for the best, tensing for the worst, and smiling like a loon.
I had a delightful time following this budding romance. I almost felt like I was TMZ while I read it with a sneak peek in the life of Z Savage! All the dirt on the band after this commercial break!
Sweet and sassy with a side of hottie hunky, Kozart is a rock god with a decidedly not rock playlist! I’m going to be trying up Google for a while catching up with those…
I wonder if we will get more Savage Beasts!?!
I love a rock star romance and especially when the h is the girl next door type that catches his eye. This book is the perfect balance of that with a bit of a friends to lovers feel. Well done and pleasant to read.
I am in love with Kozart! Rock star god. His story broke my heart, but Aubrey knew exactly what to do and say to bring Kozart to life. She saw past all the smoke that surrounded Kozart and saw the real him. Aubrey was so unexpected for Kozart and he wasn’t ready to let her go. I enjoyed how he was there for Aubrey from the moment he met her. This story melted my heart. This story kept me up all night reading. I am so glad I picked up Kozart’s story and I really need more.
My first J Nathan and I loved the way she pulled me in with this one. A rockstar and a college student? How perfect and yet how difficult for it to work. Yet it was a great mix of the famous and vulnerable rock star and the girl that would capture his heart. Their banter and differences played sweet music together. This was a terrific read!
J Nathan is a new to me author and I really enjoy her writing style. Her story was easy to read, flowed really well, and made the characters feel real.
Aubrey Prescott was just humiliated at her sister’s wedding. She walks in on her fiance and another bridesmaid. Now her life has been thrown into an upheaval. She goes down to the hotel bar to drown her sorrows and figure out what to do next. Her senior year has changed dramatically. She doesn’t want to go back into the wedding, but a mysterious, hot stranger takes the lead at ultimate revenge.
Kozart Savage is a twenty five year old frontman of a hugely successful band. His life hasn’t always been easy, growing up in the foster care system has left him with trust issues. When he begins to wonder about his life, he comes across a beautiful girl in a bridesmaid dress, drinking at the hotel bar. As the jabs go back and forth between the, he walks her back into the wedding and shows her ex-fiance what he is missing. The best part? The beauty has no idea who he is. Both have walls to break down and they begin the journey learning more about each other. But can any kind of a relationship really happen with a rockstar?
J Nathan made these characters easy going and created a perfect chemistry between them. Their banter back and forth with each other made for an entertaining story. I look forward to what else will come in this series. Until then, time to go back and read her previous works. Thank you J Nathan!
OMG! Kozart is a diamond in the rough, this is the first book that I have read from J Nathan and won’t be my last. Kozart and Aubrey met by chance and had a connection from the start, outside influences make it hard for the pair to be together and in the end that is what tears them apart. Will Aubrey be able to trust Kozart, will Aubrey put him first. This amazing love story will have you sitting on the edge of your seat wanting to know how it ends, if I could give this book 10 stars I would. Amazing read.
Wow, wow, wow! This is my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. This book had be captivated from beginning to end. I really enjoyed reading this book. Highly recommended.
I loved this story!! It grabbed me and i couldn’t put it down till it was done. I loved the rockstar romance. Kozart is a rock star and meets Aubrey by chance at a bar. She is drinking away her ex boyfriend she just caught with someone else. Kozart was so sweet and helps her. These two were a great match. This story was wonderful. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
Truly a great love story and HEA! Every girls rock n roll god love story. It doesn’t get much better than this..
This was my first J. Nathan book, and it’s very well written. I think I’ll be looking into the other books by J. Nathan, just as soon as my heart can handle another angsty story. It gave me all the rainbows, fireflies, and butterflies. I wish real life was more like this..
Thanks for the great read J. Nathan!

Best. Book. Ever!! Holy. Snow.
J. Nathan has had me hook, line and sinker ever since I read her book, For Crosby. Since then, anything she writes I have to have my hands on it as soon as possible. Kozart is no exception! Kozart is hands down my FAVORITE read so far for 2019.
J. Nathan has written both Kozart and Aubrey’s characters so well that you fall in love with them from the moment you meet them. Kozart is this beautifully broken man who is barely making it through the speed of life when he meets Aubrey. Aubrey is his saving grace even if he hates to admit it.
Kozart has had a rough life so trusting does not come easy with him nor does he do relationships. When he meets Aubrey by chance, he is thrown into a tailspin. He is living this rockstar life, so to speak, when this girl comes from outta nowhere makes him question everything. From the moment they meet, Aubrey begins healing Kozart and neither of them realizes it.
I can continue on with this review and give you spoilers but I am not going to do that. I will say that if you have not read this beautiful wordy creation by J. Nathan yet, grab it now! It will give you all the feels. Be sure to have some tissues handy!!
My rating: 5-stars.
This book is amazing. I can honestly say that it’s the first book I’ve read this year that I absolutely loved. I read it in one day. I think that speaks highly for the book.
Kozart and Aubrey are great characters. I loved her sassy attitude. He was a good guy that was lonely because of his career. Their chemistry was explosive. So much sexual tension between them. I loved their teasing of each other. The slow-burn was sizzling hot.
I appreciate that Ms. Nathan included some rockstar lifestyle scenes. Many authors don’t and it’s kinda off-putting. For me that is.
Ms. Nathan’s writing is so perfect and beautiful. You can tell she spent a lot of time writing the book. Ms. Nathan, thank you.
This book made me feel so many emotions. I felt what the characters felt. My heart was happy, sad, mad, upset, and happy again. This book is the type of romance I love to read.
Ms. Nathan is now one of my top 5 favorite authors. I will be reading more of her books.
I loved everything about this book! I did not want to put it down. The back and forth banter between Kozart and Aubrey kept me smiling and wanting more! J. Nathan made these characters come to life for me and gave me all the feels!!
This book was a quick read and interesting young rock romance story.
It has a bit of everything in it, from the angst, a cheating boyfriend caught red-handed, first butterflies when you know a new person that you’re attracted to and the chemistry is there all the time, the characters are growing slowly throughout the pages, their friendship is interesting and the fact that she doesn’t know who he is from the beginning, that he can be himself around her is a great addition to the story.
She’s sassy and smart and beautiful while he falls hard for her and doesn’t even know it. It’s hard to get committed with a person that has to travel a lot, the trust is always an issue but the friendship is getting stronger and the chemistry and love blooms between these imperfect souls that are such perfect match together.
If I could give this book more that five stars I would. This book is hands down one of the best rock romances that I have ever read ( and that’s saying a lot)
Aubrey is licking her wounds on a hotel bar as she is avoiding her sisters wedding after catching her boyfriend of three years ( and brother of the groom) banging a bridesmaid. When a mysterious stranger strikes up a conversation and helps her to save face at the wedding and ensure she is ok after ; she is smitten.
Imagine her surprise when she finds out he is a huge rockstar. They start a friendship and develop a bond that leads to a relationship. But with past hurts and history and a rock star life a college student will they handle the pressure, distance and temptation.
To say that these characters were so dynamic, endearing and awesome is an understatement. I loved the dual POV. Aubrey’s sass and Kozart ability to rise above.
Awesome book with a phenomenal epilogue.
I am volunteering to leave a review for this must read book.
Where are all my rock star fans?? Y’all need to one-click Kozart right now. Seriously, go, I’ll wait . . .
So you’re back—good, now heed my warning: I planned to read a chapter or two around midnight the other night. Just a little reading before I finally closed my eyes for the night. Well, those eyes didn’t close until 3 am because I couldn’t drag my eyes away from my Kindle. I had to know what happened with Z and Aubrey.
From their adorable meet-cute, through their trials and tribulations over scheduling conflicts, time commitments, external pressures and their undeniable love and connection, I absolutely adored my time spent reading their story into the wee hours of the morning.
Kozart and Aubrey are not perfect people, but my oh my are they perfect for each other! I loved Aubrey’s sass and smarts. She’s the whole package: smart, sweet and stunning. And Kozart in no way could resist her—and it was awesome to see him fall just as hard for her as she did for him.
Prepare for some serious swooniness, sexy AF “in between the sheets” times, and just an all-around amazing experience as these two find their happily ever after.
Words can’t even begin to describe the amount of love I have for Kozart and Aubrey’s breathtakingly beautiful story! These characters take readers on a journey full of heart and soul, leaving you on the edge of the unknown. This story had some deep moments that pulled on my heartstrings from time to time and their chemistry wholeheartedly captivated every part of me. There were even some parts that brought tears to my eyes, especially when I learned about Kozart’s past. Oh and did I mention Aubrey’s d*ck of an ex-boyfriend…just you wait until you meet him. There were so many layers to this story and I absolutely loved discovering each new layer!
J. Nathan never ceases to amaze me with her unique storytelling ability and this story was no exception. When she first announced she was writing a rockstar romance I was so freaking excited because this is one of my favorite tropes, but this story was unlike any rockstar romance I have ever experienced. Each story she writes captures a part of my soul and this one stole a slightly bigger chunk of it! One of my favorite stories for sure and I hope everyone falls in love with these two unique souls!
This is the first book I have read by this author and I could not put it down. It is a well written “friends to lovers” novel.
While Aubry is at her sisters wedding, she find her boyfriend having an affair with 1 of Aubry’s sister’s bridesmaid.
She ends up at the hotel bar, trying to forget what she saw.
This is where she meets Kozart, A famous rock singer who has his own issues.
Aubry doesn’t know that he is a singer in a rock band. Which is ok with Kozart.
They have an instant connection and become friends and soon become romantic.
Will college student Aubry, be able to handle a relationship with a famous rock star and will Kozart be able to stay faithful?
