“A perfect dark cowboy romance. I loved Jake’s dominance and pure love for Conor. I loved the estate and ranch. I loved the swoony sexiness. 5 Stars.” ~ Pepper Winters, New York Times Bestselling AuthorI try to forget her. It’s impossible. Growing up together, Conor and I shared all our firsts. First love, first kiss, first… Not all our firsts. We were sixteen the night she was violently …
We were sixteen the night she was violently assaulted while I helplessly watched.
I’ll never forget the sounds of her suffering.
Or my inconsolable agony when she left Oklahoma.
Years later, she returns to honor our teenage pact.
Except the boy she loved is gone, replaced by a ruthless cattle rancher knotted with secrets.
She doesn’t know my dark cravings or the trails of sin that lead to her.
I don’t deserve her, but one truth remains.
She’s mine.

This was one I couldn’t put down, great read!
3 to maybe 3.5
I’ve enjoyed several of her books and this was no exception.
On the h’s 16th bday she suffers a brutal, horrific night. Pam makes you feel the anguish, rage and despair. It’s well written. Lots of angst, abuse & abandonment almost 3/4 of the book.
My main problem is after six years, H reads online help and gives h two weeks of “therapy” to “cure” her. The first part was well paced. I’m no expert but I think h may have needed more professional help to overcome that night and the two years that follow.
It was well written with a HFN ending
I would give this book 10 stars! Its amazing. I love the characters. I love the story. I LOVE everything about it.
One of the best books I’ve read on BookBub. The author lures the reader in with a sweet beginning then drags them kicking and screaming to a painful place, only to rebuild the characters she’s destroyed and mend the reader’s broken heart. It’s also hot as hell! I couldn’t buy the next two books in the series fast enough.
This book ripped my heart out almost immediately and it took the rest of the book to get it back in again. Someday, maybe, this authour won’t leave me with a huge book hangover and characters that linger with me for days afterwards, but Jake and Conor are not those people
It all started so innocently, a rendez vous with the boy of your dreams, who you’ve been with all your life, and plan to be with all the years later. Within moments, Conor’s life changes so drastically and dramatically, and continues to take turns for the worst through her teen and early adult years. She changes who she is, how she thinks, and what she does, but it never goes away. The heart of who she is and what she wants always stays the same, and that is Jake
Jake feels the failure he made in not protecting Conor every day. He has never stopped protecting her, even though she never knows. When the time finally comes to bring her home and share the truth, will she even want to go along with his plan to heal her? Will it heal him? How broken does everything have to be before it can be built back up?
Conor and Jake tore me up, but I couldn’t have admired them more. Even as young as they were, and all they’d been through, they recognized there was nobody else for them but the other. When things finally came around for them, I was so happy for them. They had so much still ahead of them, but they were going to face it together
Now, about Jarrett and Lorne……
I realize the genre but this was just stupid in my opinion. The whole “other girls enjoyed it once they were lubed up” and forcing her to go through it all was more than i could personally stand to read.
I give Knotted 3.5 stars .
Which is a hard thing for me to do since I worship Pam Godwin’s stories. That beginning scene was sexy between Sweethearts Conor and Jake, but turned Brutal and Tragic in a wink. It was a definite eye opener from that point on .
A mystery Filled with twists , murder and a gut wrenching quest to heal two hearts that were once full of love for each other . I liked Conor and Jake together but there was something missing and I was a little irked by Jake keeping all these secrets, ( yes, to keep her safe ) but he acted like he was Dr. Phil and had a PHD in trying to heal her PTSD…When he had it too .
I was a little on the fence with certain parts but I will still read the rest of the Trails of Sin Trilogy because these cowboys are intense .
Good story & great characters.
WOW this is a real OMG book I could not put it down. Everything that happened in this book I really hope does not happen in real life. ( just the bad parts) the sex parts are steamy and great other then that I wanted to jump in the book and help her (main female character) out. Great book
Imagine one night changing the course of your life. What should have been a time for Conor and Jake to enjoy the tendrils of teenage love, a violent occurrence changed their entire world. An event that would have shattered even the strongest heart. Leading four lives to suffer in the course of the aftermath. So many lives changed by that tragic night.
This is the story of four friends that have grown up together surrounded by friendship and adoration. A bond between them that was stronger than any outside influence. Brothers Jake and Jarret lived side by side to siblings Conor and Lorne. Four souls that were intertwined more than they realized was possible. What they will endure would test any friendship. For Jake and Conor – it will test the strings of young love.
Secrets are lurking beneath the surface, and the events of that one night will alter the future. A dedication and destruction of epic proportion. A promise will be made between the four that will bind them together, but time and circumstances will test that chord. Where will they find themselves years down the road? Only time will tell where the dust will settle….
Where do I begin? Get ready for a story that will tear your heart out and leave you on the edge of your seat, all at the same time. It’s a soul gripping plot that kept me captivated from beginning to end. A tale of young love, tragedy, and becoming the person you were meant to be. Life is full of hardships, and Pam Godwin tackled this storyline with that magic touch she seems to possess. A testament to the authors ability to dive right in and create an intense and romantic story all at the same time.
While this story had the tears flowing down my face, it also renewed my faith in love and the human spirit. A powerful and thought provoking plot that tests the ties that bind friendship, love, and loyalty. There are more tales to share in the lives of this foursome of friends. Personally – I cannot wait to see the journey that Jarrett and Lorne will face!! One this is certain…..this new series has started off with an unexpected intensity that cannot be ignored.
Loved this book. Very complex, great depth of characters, story line completely unexpected yet very believable. This author is REALLY GOOD.
It was hard to read in places but seriously worth the struggle
Loved this book. Bought the other two to finish the series
Gripping romance that kept me riveted until the last page. You really feel like you are there on the ranch and the excellent visuals make you feel like you are part of the action. I will be reading more of this author and this series!
Wow
This is one very intense story. 4 young people go out to celebrate Conor’s 16 birthday on horseback. One is her broth Lorne who is best friends with her boyfriend Jake and his brother Jarrett. None of them a night that suppose to be a first for Conor & Jake with change their lives for the next 6 years. Beautifully written.
Knotted will take all your emotions, twist them up until you can barely breathe, then slowly unravel them with this masterpiece of a story.
An Absolutely, beautiful tragic story of first love lost. Cowboys and horses, I was sold just from the synopsis only; but when you add three cowboys, a down to earth southern girl, action and suspense I’m sucked in. What I wasn’t expecting is the twist Pam throw into the mix that outlines Jake and Conor’s journey to finding true love again.
Horrible in my opinion. I wasn’t able to finish this book. It was a book of porn in words. Not classy at all. Rated X.
Great story and very inspirational
One of the Best Books I’ve read this year
