This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
Highly entertaining, sexy, fun and action packed adventure filled with exciting and engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and thrilling passion. An edge of your seat read!
I found the story a bit repetitive and because of that long and I skimmed some due to that. Example… at least 3 different times I had to re-live why her parents disowned her…Overall, interesting characters with a storyline that has possibilities but it didnt meet my expectations
Bridgit refuses to follow the life plan her parents want her to do and they cut her off. She has to leave without anything but the clothing on her back. Her older brother sneaks behind their parents back and helps her out. He helps her get an interview as an assistant secretary at Andrei’s office. Sparks fly between her and Andrei but she fights her attraction because she needs the job. Andrei and his main secretary discuss Bridgit’s circumstances and how to help her manage to do her job well. When Bridgit gets her first paycheck she wants to celebrate and everyone goes with her. Andrei ends up walking her home and this ends with things getting heated between them. Can Bridgit and Andrei have more than a working relationship? Will her parents back off and leave her alone?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is a wonderful love story with wonderful characters that had you desperate for a happy ending. Bridgit had to overcome a lot before she had her happy ever after after being kicked out of her family by her parents as she refused to marry someone just for her parents business & their place in society. Her brother Steven helped her get a flat & a job where she met her handsome boss Andrei there was a connection between them from the start but their relationship didn’t start off in the conventional way wanting to keep it quiet at work but Bridgit took his wording of this to him not wanting her for anything other than sexual agreement but then when she found his ex wife at his home she thought the worst of him & ran. Steven arranged for a place outside the city fir her to stay & she even got herself a job, when she told him she was pregnant he told her to tell Andrei which she refused to do. As much as he Andrei should have made his feelings for her clearer she should have given him the chance to explain what was going on with his ex wife & how she just turned up out of the blue but it took her being seen by the man she was supposed to have married who was going to tell her parents where she was that her brother went to get Andrei so she could tell him about the baby but also for them to clear the air about what exactly had happened In their lives. I loved at how excited she was when she’d got her first ever paycheck & took Gina with her to open herself a bank account in her own name with the money she had earnt herself.

Annie J Rose has another terrific story with Bridgit and Andrei. They are wonderful characters with amazing chemistry. Bridgit is hiding from her parents because they expect her to marry the man they have chosen. Luckily her older brother is helping her to be on her own. After they finally get together, Andrei’s ex-wife comes back into the picture, so Bridgit leaves town. She is trying to make the best of her situation after discovering that she is pregnant, but the man that her parents wanted her to marry comes into the shop where she is working. The Challenging Path of Love
When Bridgit Holliday refused to acquiesce to her parents and their plans to an arranged marriage to form a political/social/financial alliance that they had orchestrated with another family, her parents kicked her out without anything—even a change of clothes. So, unwilling to be her parent’s pawn, she sets off on a path for which her previous 20 something years had not prepared her. She has no skills and no direction, no sympathizing friends—they aligned with her parents and their own parents—but she did have a loving and supportive brother, who breaking from their parents, arranged for an apartment, clothes and food and even connected with a friend, Gina, assistant to Andrei Petrov, to get his homeless, jobless sister an interview for the position of secretary at the Petrov’s import company. And, while familial connections once more smooth the path in Bridgit’s life, she quickly realizes that unless she gains the necessary skills required for the job, she would lose this opportunity for independence from her parents.
Andrei Petrov is a self-made man who has charted his own way through life. As a first generation American, son of Russian immigrants, he grew up speaking Russian at home and an accented English at school; he knew that the only luck that came to someone like him was luck of his own making. So, he worked hard and luck came. So, when his assistant, Gina, shares the back story of the new girl—Bridgit—the most beautiful and appealing woman Andrei has encountered in a long time—he struggles to sort his mixed instincts—to bed her or to protect her. And, adding to the tenuous path of love for the older boss and his younger employee are the individuals that both Andre and Bridgit seek to evade—his ex-wife and her over-bearing parents.
Annie J. Rose is a masterful writer who engages the reader’s emotions and mind. She captures well the constant concerns of the individual moving out of the shadow of parents and coming to recognize and even question the lessons we have learned as truths. As Bridgit gains a wider perspective from her life’s experiences and encounters with individuals of diverse backgrounds, she comes to sees her views of life were not always well-formed ideas. This is a novel that not only entertains, but also provokes the reader’s contemplation of the road blocks that come to individual growth and the growth relationships endure on the pathway to love.

New born fawn meets real world with a billionaire added in
Knocked Up by the Boss is the third book in the Office Romances series and is the story of Bridgit and Andrei. The story-line was engaging and at time my heartstrings were being pulled quite nicely from one end to the other on the emotional scale. In a lot of ways Bridgit is like a new born fawn trying to learn how to survive in a new world. Well it is really her new reality that she is trying to figure out, while also doing the best she can. Bridgit grew up with wealth and not having to deal with the day to day things. But her parents cut her off and take away everything, leaving her penniless and homeless, when she refuses to marry a man that they want her to. Luckily for her she has a great older brother in Stephen. He gets her an apartment and then a job even though she has not marketable skills for the job market. She is going to have to quickly learn how the other 99% live day to day.
Andrei is a self made billionaire who at forty years old is divorced, has only a couple friends and basically just works. His personal assistant is Gina and she hires Bridgit to be his new secretary. Let’s just say that the sparks fly between Andrei and Bridget when they meet but she is his employee and he is her boss. As Bridget fumbles her way through things Gina is there to help guide her. Things are going along with Bridgit starting to settle in a bit and get steadier but after a late night in the office the attraction between Andrei and Bridgit sparks a little too much and they have a very steamy encounter. After this they start to see each other, along with working together and being professional. It is good at but when Andrei’s ex-wife shows up and moves into his penthouse Bridgit is out the door like a shot and hitting the road. The only problem is that she is taking a little piece of Andrei with her. So now what does she do? She has learned to be strong and has become more self-confident about her ability to handle life. So she may let Andrei explain about his ex but that does not mean that she is going to be a doormat for him.
I quite enjoyed Knocked Up by the Boss. Of the series so far this is my favorite. I liked the journey of self discovery that Bridgit takes and her perseverance and determination that she shows along the way. At some points I wanted to shake her up a bit but she got there in the end. I would recommend this book to other readers.
This is an office romance full of family drama, secrets, angst, steam, unexpected twists and a great ending. Bridgit and Andrei have intense chemistry together and they go through so much to get their well deserved HEA. This is a great addition to the Office Romances series and I can’t wait to read the next one.
This story had me ready to fight one minute and melt the next. That Katya creature had a lot of nerves to make herself at home where she wasn’t even wanted. She would have been flying right out the door with her luggage. Guess she never heard the saying, “You will lose him the same way you got him.” Steven and Bridget’s parents…just wow and shaking my head. I’m surprised they weren’t in therapy dealing with those lunatics growing up!!! Geez!! Andrei was a cool dude until he let his ex take over HIS home…but he did redeem himself in the end. Everyone needs friends like Gus and Gina in their corner. They offered free alibis and help making people disappear!!!
