I’ve read everything by this amazing author and have to say this was my favorite!! Griffin and Levi will steal your heart and Ava yours will cry for her!! Their meeting and entire relationship was so realistic and I loved it!!
I honestly don’t think I will ever get enough of this author and her work. I fall head over heels in love with everything she writes. Her stories are real, they are funny, they are about family, friends, love and they have a ton of heart. I have read all her books and cant wait for more.
This book had me laughing more than any of her other books. Ava is HILARIOUS! She doesn’t hide her love for tacos and crazy shirts. She is definitely something else.
Every now and again, I come across a single parent book, I haven’t read many of them, but this one is on my top list. Griffin with Levi, was an awesome thing to read about. The things that come out of Levi’s mouth had me both rolling laughing and trying to contain it all at once, trying not to wake my husband or kids up. It was a hard thing to do.
I just loved this story all the way around. And as always, I cant wait for more from Nikki Ash!! <3 <3 <3 <3
This book was such a cute book. It was a very enjoyable, easy read. Loved all the characters!! Griffin, Ava and Levi are just so lovable!!! Take the time to read this one.
This book was sweet, sexy and at times so funny-gotta love little boys-lol. Loved this book and looking forward to reading more from Nikki Ash.
Griffin and Ava has such an amazing story. So many have been hurt and are scared to give love a second chance but these two are on fire. I laughed out loud and then cried my eyes out! This book definitely had all the feels. I’m forever a taco tuesday person now!!!
Knocked Down was amazing! While it is a complete standalone, there were lots of cameos from Nikki Ash’s Fighting Love series (which is also amazing).
Griffin is a bar owner and single dad who’s growing tired it’s the “flavor of the month” life. When he meets Ava, she turns his whole world upside down. Though Ava refuses to commit, their chemistry is off the charts and she struggles keeping her heart separated.
This book is brilliantly written. It’s sweet, funny, and has a good dose of heat. The secondary characters make the story even better and you’re sure to fall in love with Levi and Maverick right along with Griffin and Ava. Definitely worth the read!
I really enjoyed Knocked down it drew me into the story I couldn’t stop reading until I reached the last page . This would be one of many books I’ve read by the author if you haven’t had the chance and she is new to you check her our as soon as possible . The blurb intrigued me wanting to know how this romance was going to play out and what new characters I was going to introduced to . Plus look at this cover amazing and describes the hero perfectly .

“I feel like I’ve been knocked down on my ass.”
This is a fantastic raw and surreal contemporary romance that Nikki Ash brings authentic, feel-good relations into her latest novel, Knocked Down and I devoured it up in one sitting. I was immensely entertained with this standalone. From the loveable chemistry between a single dad and a spitfire neighbor to the under-current themes throughout the book, I was lost within moments of the first chapter.
Cheated on twice, the heart can’t take any more. Ava is happy now with her dog, Maverick, her job and her Passion Kisses parties on the side. New neighbors have moved in next door and her heart is elated to find a hunk of a man and his 8 year old son, Levi. But can she take on another heartbreak, another go of ‘possible’ love all to be torn apart again?
And my guard is up because there’s no way I can let him in. I would never survive it.
You will want to eat tacos by the time this book is finished! The friendship that begins between Ava and Levi is sweet, spectacular, and just a joy. Then add on the dynamic of Griffin with Ava…simply perfection on Ash’s part. This story will have you smiling, swooning and loving every word that is written by the end.
“Taco Tuesdays are definitely my favorite day of the week.”
I wonder what your favorite scene will be when you pick up your copy today? Is it Levi’s sword fighting scene… cause that my friends will have you folding over with laughter! And it just goes to show how real Ash’s magnitude of writing is.
But the only words that come out of my mouth are, “I need you.” It’s not enough, but it’s the truth. I need her. Like one needs oxygen or food or water to survive. I need Ava.
Oh my gosh, these two, actually these THREE. Ava totally crashes into Griffin & Levi’s life and dang, do I want to be her. First off, Griffin makes me *swoon* hardcore as a dad. There’s nothing more attractive than a man who LOVES his kid.
Ava is all of the insecurity I find in myself. “You have to say that because you’re my mom, and you know what they say…if it happens once it’s them, if it happens twice, it must be you.” I completely and 100% get her. She seriously harbors all the same insecurities I do and lives with the same doubts. The way she reacted to being with Griffin is something I would have done because I wouldn’t believe a decent, hardworking man would actually want ME.
This story, although short, gave me all the feels. As with all short stories, it always feels like it’s missing a little something, only because I’m greedy and want more. But even with the shortness I FELT. And that is why I read <3
** spoiler alert ** I want to taco’ bout the super sweet, amazing story I just read! All the feels! I absolutely loved the silliness and real, down to earth character of Ava. She embodied showing that women should just be real, and themselves and can be loved for every aspect of who they are. She is genuine and rooted, which makes for such a lovable character. Griffin…..gah! Single dad stories always pull at my heart strings. Griffin is raw and real about how he raises and takes care of his son. He’s sexy in every aspect of the word and straight forward with what he wants. I love that Ava respects every aspect of him being a dad and she doesn’t judge or see him differently because of it. I love how this book has both of them trying to hide the instant attraction at first, but then they just give in and don’t try to push against it. They have such great chemistry, and without it being mentioned specifically, they overcame the stereotypes and judgements of the other women, regarding her being Hispanic. The whole story embraced their differences and I feel it made for a better way to bring them together even closer. I loved how this book touched on that, and also the single dad aspect, and infertility. Lily struck a personal chord with me, as I was in her exact same situation and I cried a little bit realizing how her situation hit home for me, especially because everything she went through I felt and experienced the same sadness and fears that she did. Even the things that happened to her, happened to me. It’s not often that you find a story that gives you a personal connection to it. This one hit the bullseye for sure and is an all around good feels read!
This book was such an amazing story that sent me on a great roller coaster with so many feelings . Nikki never disappoints with her books and always leaves you wanting more.
Great single parent romance. I was laughing at Ava and her love for tacos . Griffin won me over as he was such a great dad to Levi , as well as perfect gentleman to Ava. Sexy and sweet all in one novella
Knocked Down is such a great book. This book is a stand-alone but interconnected with her Fighting series. I loved seeing what previous characters were up to. It was sort of a catch up with them. This book is about Griffin and Ava. From the moment they run into each other, literally, we see the spark. The way the story is told the reader has no choice but to fall in love with this book. Levi is such a great character. Being Griffins son anc only 8 years old bring the comedial relief we love. Great characters, awesome story and excellent writing equals a 5 star rating. I’m greedy and want more of their story. But that’s just me.
So i thought was super cute and i loved it despite it being shorter than her usual books! Griffin and Ava were adorable. Also, can we talk about Ava’s love for tacos? like hellooooo i also need her shirts. Those are LIFE. Levi and Maverick had me dying from cuteness overload as well. I really enjoyed this book even if it was short
Griffin finds a lot more than a cup of sugar next door when he moves in next to the taco loving sexy as all get out Ava. Ava has twice been burned in the love department. It seems that she has a knack for picking cheaters. So she had decided that for now at least she is going to be a twenty something spinister with her dog to keep her company. Griffin has to guard not only his heart, but also that of his little man Levi, hence his love’em and leave’em policy. There was something about Ava, from the second they met that made this woman different. She clicked with him, his family, his life, his kid…. Getting her to let down her walls for him won’t be easy, but with tacos and time he’s sure to get the job done.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
What do I do when I suffer a bout of insomnia? I read Knocked Down. Did I go back to sleep? Hell no, I read this 5 star story in one sitting.
Griffin is raising is 8yo son as a single dad. One look at his next door neighbor and he’s knows she different. Ava has sworn off men. According to her they are all a lying bunch of cheaters. Griffin has his work cut out for him, proving her wrong.
This was a quick read but one filled with greatness. It was full packed of emotions. Highly addictive and entertaining. There was never a dull moment with a straight to the point storyline. No unnecessary details just to fill pages. Plenty of scorching hot steamy scenes. Beautifully written with an amazing storyline. Bottomline this is a must read. I can’t wait to get more from this author.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
Add another to my “Nikki Ash is the freaking best” list because Knocked Down is a new favorite for me. Sweet, sexy single dad to an adorable little boy + a sassy, funny, kind hearted taco fueled woman= everything I never knew I wanted in a book. That’s a lie. I totally knew I wanted all that in a book. Nikki Ash made my dreams come true. Low on the angst heavy on the sweet, Knocked Down had me hooked from the start while Nikki’s amazing writing took over my world.
Let’s taco bout my new book BFF Ava. She’s quirky, she’s a sweetheart, she has excellent taste in t shirts and food to be eaten on Tuesday. Basically, she’s perfection. Usually I’m all about my men, and Griffin is definitely book boyfriend magic, but Ava is my people! I adore that woman! Aside from the intense desire I have to raid her t shirt collection, her lovable personality captured me immediately. Griffin is a man who is more than worthy of my new character bestie. A devoted father, a kindhearted man, and seriously (I mean SERIOUSLY) hot!
The chemistry between these two is off the charts and Griffin was determined to show her the kind of man he really was. All of that makes for some serious swoon on its own, but then you add in his son and the beautifully sweet heartfelt moments. It made my heart happy reading their story!
Who would have guessed a book about tacos and sex toys would have me in tears and laughing at the same time. Nikki told Griffin’s story in a way that has me wanting more. I want to be friends with Ava, her feisty little personality and love for tacos is endearing. I am new to Nikki Ash but after this one I can’t wait to go back and read everything else she has written.
Griffin and Ava- love them!! Love their chemistry, their relationship and how they care for people and each other!
Ava is alone after being hurt in 2 previous relationships and doesn’t trust men. Griffin is a single dad who’s priority is his son and bar. Ava and Griffin are neighbors who connect quickly. Griffin works to prove to Ava that she can trust men.
This book has family and relationships at its core. The connection between Griffin and his brother and sister in law is awesome and the love for family. As well as how Ava loves Levi too- Griffin’s son.
It is fun, flirty, real with some steam too! Great book by Nikki Ash!
Ms ash has done another great job on this one.
Griffin and Ava are such amazing characters, I love how I can always get lost in ms ash’s stories, I always loose track of the time when I’m reading one of her stories.
single dad stories always pull qt my heart strings and griffins son was no different.
